Comfort at last! I am on my feet for ten hours a day working as a nurse. I waited too long to buy new shoes and my feet were killing me. These shoes are great. They were comfortable right out of the box. I will be buying another pair. I have a high instep so I do not lace them to the top.

Perfect shoe for people with arthritis in their feet - I have worn Brooks Addiction Walkers for the past several years, ever since finding them on Zappos. With having both arthritis in the tops of my feet and also bunions, it has been impossible to find shoes that I can wear where my feet do not hurt. That is until I began wearing these shoes. Addiction Walkers need no break in time. Are true to size, have ample toe box room and excellent arch support. In the past I have always purchased the "white" ones, but this time decided on "black" for the fall. For some reason the black ones actually feel a little lighter than the white ones. Once again I placed my order and the next day received my shoes. Thank you Zappos!

Great "ALL DAY ON MY FEET" Shoe! This is my first Brooks Addiction Walker purchase and I'm hooked! I've always been a New Balance customer but I wanted to try something new. I work retail and I'm on my feet all day on a concrete floor. These shoes are as wonderful as my New Balance shoes. Cushioning is great, these are orthotic friendly, and they give me the support in the ankle and heel that I need since I overpronate. Definitely would buy these again.

It is what it is. The Brooks Addiction Walker provides needed support and motion control. The shoe itself adds energy to your day - no more drain of energy leaving your body through the bottom of your feet. The weight of the shoe, while not light, is not over cumbersome, so is not also adding the additional gravity pull of another shoe. It is not only your feet but your legs that are not tired by the end of the day I gave four stars to the look of the shoe only because it is what it is - a walker. I wear mine to work to maintain full energy throughout the day and I only wish the high quality of this shoe could somehow translate to more of a dress shoe. It does have a nice line to it though that does not call out "Look - She's wearing a walker!"

Brooks Addiction Walker - They are very comfortable. They were recommended to me by me doctor. The ones I've ordered in this past order are my 3rd and 4th pairs. I'm in nursing so I'm on my feet all day and need the support.

Extremely comfortable and light. It is not a heavy shoe and it gives great stability when walking.

Great shoes, great service, and great price. I know 2 stars is low (for looks) but the wonderful COMFORT and great STABILITY make it tolerable to handle the looks!

This is a good shoe for walking but because it is leather, and I wear orthotics, I am having to wait a little for my feet to conform to the new shoe.

Wonderful shoe - I recently received the Brook Addiction Walker and was able to wear it right out of the box. I have a short wide foot, and I'm shorter on one side than the other, due to an injury in my arch. I wear a lift in the right heel area. This is the first shoe I found that leaves me with no pain at all. What a wonderful thing it is NOT to hurt with every step you take. I was very surprised to find the Brooks Addiction 7 did hurt in the heel and arch area as the shoes are very similar. I highly recommend this shoe. The only negative thing about the Walkers is the shoe strings are very short. I do struggle to get them tied. And it would be nice to have a lighter color that did not look so white, more tennis shoe like to wear in the summer. The Walker is the only shoe I can wear no matter what the occasion. I was wearing New Balance shoes prior to these, most recent 855, and still having pain. Please Brooks and Zappos don't stop carrying this wonderful shoe. This was my first time buying from Zappos. The only thing I can suggest is if you could somehow make the pictures of the shoes more clear. Great company.

I'm on my second pair of this shoe. As an elementary teacher who is on the go all day without much opportunity to sit down, this shoe is "sweet" for my feet! I walk on a cement floor covered by construction grade (thin) carpet and it's very hard on your feet and legs...thus I invest in good shoes to support me. THESE ARE IT! I wear them every single day and I'm extremely happy with them.

Very comfortable, very attractive shoe with a lot of support. I use orthotics, which fit nicely into the shoe. This is my new "favorite" shoe.

Comfy shoes! I have a very had time finding shoes that have adequate support for my worn-out arches. These shoes were comfortable from the moment I put them on. They were SO comfy, I even forgot to wear my orthotics the first two weeks I had them, and was STILL impressed with their comfort. I'll recommend them to all my friends with troubled feet.

Finally - The Eternal Quest: looking for a shoe that doesn't kill my feet. God bless Zappos for their return policy! Wide feet, high instep, fallen arch, spurs everywhere, ligaments cut in 4 toes makes it really hard to find even slippers that don't hurt. This Brooks Addiction Walker is the best shoe I've found in a long time, the D width is perfect, it's supportive and cushy. I could use a little more arch support but then 'normal' feet wouldn't like it; going to try a small metatarsal cushion, as there isn't enough room in the toe box for full liner. (I don't think the toe box is small, I just need extra room there.) No break-in needed comfortable right out of the box. I don't think it's ugly at all, but I'm a little older and don't like a lot of colors/stripes/etc. on my athletic shoes, just plain white. I ordered a second pair, too. As usual, if you just keep looking Zappos will have what you need, and the service is outstanding.

Comfort Heaven! I bought these shoes for my EMS courses and clinicals because my friend referred me. I love them. I tried them on and they are so comfortable and soft. I can't wait to start my courses. Knowing I won't have foot trouble is terrific! Note: I have wide feet and I'm very flat footed and the extra wide size, is a perfect fit! Buying shoes is always difficult but these bad boys are like a glove!

The Best - The Brooks Addiction Walker is the only shoe I wear that keeps my feet and legs from hurting. I am on my feet all day with them. I’m so happy to be able to get them from Zappos.

Brooks Walk Addiction - Love these shoes! This is my second pair; they are great for my wide flat feet.

Comfortable - I use as letter carrier for post office - Have been using them walking fast 40 hours a week for 3 weeks now and so far so good. I think it’s the leather. Only thing I can notice so far is maybe the insert is not cushy enough and maybe the arch support not high enough. But I do not feel any active pain anywhere as I do with other shoes. I have wide feet and sensitive to pain feet.

K Sue's Shoes - This is my third pair of Brooks Addiction Walker. They are very comfortable and accommodate my orthotics. That is why I marked "no arch support" because I remove the insoles and use my orthotics. These shoes are well-made.

This IS truly the MOST comfortable shoe I have EVER worn! From the minute I put on my Brooks Addiction Walker, I was amazed! It runs true to size and I am on my feet all day, working in a pharmacy, and my feet NEVER get tired! This is THE best shoe ever! I have 7 pairs and I don't wear any other brand!

Brooks Addiction Walker - This is the second pair of Brooks Addiction Walker that I have ordered. The first one was with velcro straps. I like the looks of this one better, but both have been the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have wide feet with a high instep and the usual problems that come with growing older such as sore feet, etc. so it is just beyond wonderful to have room for my toes to wiggle and to be able to do my walking routine without any pain. I'm also very, very happy with the service that Zappos provides… just too bad it took so long for friends to give me the info I needed.

Most comfortable shoes ever! I just purchased my second pair of Brooks Addiction Walkers. I'm a server and on my feet carrying heavy trays for hours on end. These shoes have been a blessing as far as comfort. I've bought numerous pairs of other shoes touting their comfort only to be disappointed. These shoes have held up well considering the abuse I give them. My inserts for plantar fasciitis fit perfectly in the shoe. The only thing negative about the shoe: it isn't slip resistant. It's sometimes a bit hazardous on the job but they are so comfortable I can't imagine giving them up. I wish Brooks would make a little dressier shoe that is slip resistant and as comfortable as this one.

Great Shoe. I've been wearing this shoe for the last 6 or 7 pairs. It's a great feeling shoe right out of the box, well made and accommodates the orthotics I use.

An ideal walking shoe that won't win a beauty contest - This shoe was recommended to me as I have narrow feet. It is the best fitting sneaker for me and allows me to walk for miles and miles with my dog in complete comfort. It is not going to win a style contest. I only wear it when it more or less hides under my jeans and when I'm walking my dog.

Wonderful Ugly - I want it in white. Black in the summer just doesn't do it! Like my prior Brooks Synergy, but better. They fit like a foot glove and support everywhere for my skinny (3-4A), long (11.5), high arched foot. I walked several miles the first day and there was no "break in" period. They worked from the start.
