These shoes at size 7.5, make them look much larger than they actually are. I could wear them the first time I tied them. However, that said, they wear more like Doc Marten's than tennis (athletic) shoes. The soles are just not flexible.

These shoes in D width run narrower than two other pairs of New Balance I love in the same size/width, 811 and 846.

The shoe fits well and provides a lot of support. Two things that I didn't like are that the shoe is very stiff - I've been wearing it for several weeks and it's still not fully broken in; and the shoelaces are way too long.

I purchased this shoe because I always look for leather-free and USA made shoes. It feels true to size and width; however, I would take issue with the cushioning it claims to have. I don't feel like the inner soles are cushioned at all and cannot wear this shoe for walks...wear it only as an errand-running shoe. As such it will probably last forever, but not the purpose for which I intended.

Very small toe box for New Balance shoe! Glad I ordered a wide or they'd gone back. First time I've been less than thrilled with a New Balance shoe.

The sole of this shoe is very stiff. So unlike any other pair of NB I've ever owned. I usually love NB but these were not cool. There was no cushion in the insole.

I love these shoes! Favorite-old-sneakers-comfortable right out of the box. (I have a high instep, chronic plantar fascitis, and a wide foot, so it's hard to find comfortable shoes.) Supportive enough for my morning walks and good looking enough to wear around town. Zappos, as usual, got them here quickly, no muss no fuss.

Fabulous sturdy shoe. I have many problems with my feet, which I do not experience when I walk in this shoe. I had the grey and just purchased the brown one.

Great looking shoe. There was no need for break-in period. Wore them all day shopping and driving. My feet did not hurt by the end of the day. They run a bit more narrow than I would like, but a great fit all in all.

I bought these shoes knowing I would have to walk around a lot on our trip to Italy. They held up very nicely against the rain and cobblestone streets. I couldn't ask for a more comfortable walking shoe. I normally wear a size 7 in regular shoes and a 7.5 in running shoes, there was no size 7 available when I purchased these and since I was on a time constraint I bought the 7.5...so glad I did because my feet did swell a bit after hours of walking and that gave them some cushion room.

Great shoe. I have both arthritis & bunions which makes it very difficult to find shoes that fit & do not hurt. This shoe was perfect right out of the box. There is plenty of wiggle room in the toe. The area where the bunions are have mesh lined fabric which is very comfortable. The shoe is light weight & has a good arch. The gray color is darker than pictured, but goes nicely with slacks. The only thing I have to get used to is the shoe laces, which are very long, but I am not complaining. Also Thank you Zappos for being so good about my having to return so many shoes before finding one that fits.

This was a good, comfortable shoe however it is not available in an 11.5 and unfortunately the 12 was too big and an 11 is normally too small, therefore the shoe has to be returned. I would probably buy more new balance since i love their shoes and styles if they made them in my size!

Extremely disappointed - I wanted to love this shoe & just couldn't. The feel was just too "hard" when stepping in - if they make them more cushioned-feeling, I'd love them. I love everything else about them, but had to go with a different brand.

I liked this sneaker! I just use it for hanging around and dog walking but it is very comfortable, and lightweight. I also like a sneaker back that is not super high, and this one was just right!

I have problem feet. New Balance seems to be the only shoe that I can wear - so consequently, I have trail shoes and crosstrainers and they are all great.

It looked nice and felt okay except it felt like I put my foot into a men's dress shoe -- very hard, even wearing my favorite cushioned athletic sock -- no cushioning in sole of shoe.

The shoe is great - other than it doesn't fit. It looks good - great arch support. But buy it a half size larger than normal.

These shoes are great for trail walking or on sand and dirt roads but are too stiff for sidewalks.

This is nice and lightweight, and I love that New Balance has lots of room in the toe box, but they felt really stiff--I could tell they wouldn't bend with my foot and so they'd rub my heel. Learned my lesson re: sticking with Zappos, too--I ordered them from another company and had to pay shipping both ways.

Awful arch support. Not comfortable at all. Not sure why this shoe got such good reviews.

I was so disappointed with these shoes. I wore them around the house while I cleaned but by the time I finished my feet were killing me. There seemed to be no arch support and a seam on the right toe box rubbed my little toe. I also ordered a pair of New Balance WW577 and they are wonderful, but these 646's are going back. I just got off the phone with Zappos' awesome customer service rep. I am exchanging these for a different pair of New Balance. My new shoes will be here in 2 days before they even get my returns back!

I really like these sneakers, granted I don't do any excersizing in them. Just dog walking and grocery shopping, but they are comfortable, light weight and cute!
