I have recently been having trouble with my feet. I chose these shoes because they have a "clean" and simple design which makes them look rather sleek. They turned out to be very comfortable and the width is just right for my skinny but ultra wide feet. A more intricate style would have made me look like Minnie Mouse. The soles (as with many other shoes I have tried ) are not soft, and there is no arch support for my high arches. So I will have to resort to buying another pair of soles, even though they never feel as good. All in all, I am very pleased with these shoes, and will buy more of the same.

Great shoes. I walk 2-3 miles every day to and from work, and these shoes give the support and comfort I need.

I love New Balance because they are compatible with orthotics; however, these shoes felt a little smaller than previous New Balance shoes I've purchased. Overall I would never buy anything but New Balance because of the comfort. After being on my feet all day taking care of patients I feel I couldn't do this without a great pair of shoes!

WANTED! "646" IN 9AA - This is the most comfortable walking shoe ever! I bought a pair after reading the review/recommendation in Prevention Magazine. I had no idea it had already been discontinued. I am frantically searching for another pair in 9AA.

New Balance w646 - I've had this shoe for over a year. I like it very much, except it's a tiny bit short for me; i wear 10.5, 2a, and otherwise this fits great, and i love the lightness and the cushiony heel; I have just tried to order a new pair in a size 11, but so far they are out of that size; might run 1/2 size small, or my feet are growing again

Great comfortable walking shoe - Nice, lightweight walking shoe. Supportive but light. Fits well (though I had bought NB shoes before, and it fit true to that size.)

Where is the PURPLE? Love this shoe! It is just what I have been looking for and what I needed. I wear a very narrow size and shoes are hard to find because of this size. Zappos came to the rescue! The shoe even comes in the colors that I love, HOWEVER, I would like to know where THE PURPLE is! The shoe is suppose to be purple and white. Purple to me is a deep grape color. This shoe has NO PURPLE as far as I am concerned and I have tried two pairs of the shoe. What is being called PURPLE is a very, very light shade of something but it is not the "Purple color" that I know from a color chart. The whole color of the shoe looks white. Other then being disappointed with the color feature, I am very happy with this light weight shoe and its fit. Thank you Zappos!

New Balance 646 - Light as a feather! These are terrific w/the usual roomy toebox from New Balance.

New Balance WW 646 - I always have a hard time finding a good pair of shoe that would fit me right. And this is just perfect! Very light & it feels great!

Nice - Had read the previous reviews before ordering and was still amazed how light this shoe is. Felt comfortable immediately. Also liked that it has a shorter heel.

Great Shoes - These shoes are wonderful. They are light, they seem to have good shock absorption, look good and are very comfortable. I have two pair that I alternate to walk on the treadmill. RR

Fabulous - Looks great, feels great. Very stable. I bought it for my handicapped daughter and it helps her to balance when she walks.

Walk into feathers - I love the shoe . It is very flexible and light. It is the lighest shoe I have in my collection of footwear. I have walk up to 15 miles in them so far and the still feel good .

Great lightweight shoe - I was looking for the lightest shoe I could find in a narrow, to lighten the load on my suitcase when travelling. This shoe fit the bill, and they fit great and look good also.

I was looking for a pair of shoes that would not rub my heels after I had surgery on my Achilles tendon. I have narrow feet with bunions, so I have trouble finding shoes to begin with. The back of the shoe is lower than most other shoes I've tried. The shoes are super comfortable, except the sole is pretty stiff, which keeps me from getting full ankle motion. This is the only reason I rate comfort as a three. But, if you are looking for a sole that is a little stiffer than most other shoes, then these are the shoes for you!

Shoe is pretty good looking. The right shoe looks pointier that the left, but they fit perfectly. There is no arch support or padding with the original insole. I replace it with a Spenco Total Support insert and it feels great. Finally found a shoe that is comfortable and decent looking.

Poor arch support, but added a Dr. Scholl's gel arch support, then a SuperFeet insole on top of that, it finally felt good. As is, the shoe has virtually no arch support. Would rather not have the blue accent color but will keep them anyway. Good thing these are not expensive or I wouldn't have kept them. They needed too many added improvements.

Very comfortable, stable shoe. Snug around instep and roomy at the toe. Wore for the second time only on a 3 mile hike without an issue.

This shoe feels more like a hiking shoe then a walking shoe. It's not as light as I'd like but for my 1-2 mile walks/day it works. The gray color is nice, my foot is big and wide so that helps! The fit is great as long as I wear thin socks. I really wanted the NB shoe I had last year but as often happens it's not available any more!

I like the shoe. However, it is not as wide as other NB "D". It squeezes my bunion and little toe. I am hoping the shoe will stretch enough. I can't wear it all day yet.

I have wide feet and New Balance has done me well in the past but these were supposedly wide width but were very tight on my feet so I had to send them back. I'm getting sick of all the wide width sneakers out there that are white and look like nurse shoes, so I was doubly disappointed because these shoes are pretty.

These have been super-comfortable and work well with my orthotics. My only complaint is that the laces look like they are frayed and close to breaking right where they pull tight for tying. Not sure why...but I like the shoes so much that it's worth it to buy a new pair of laces at some point.

New balance www646wp - I was looking for a very light weight walking shoe in a wide width so this was the one. It fits well and looks as good as you would expect from a shoe of this type. I was very pleased with the speed of delivery from Zappos.
