It’s a great shoe for plantar fasciitis and nice enough looking. Runs 1/2to a full size smaller than my 10 year old Venice H2s which says something if they are still wearable after 10 years. I wear a 9-9.5 in most shoes and returned my size 10s for a size 11. If you can find the right size they are great sandals that work in any casual/semi-casual situation.

It’s a comfortable shoe and the color is attractive. I really like the arch support and can wear them all day. It’s a little bit snug on the top (arch )of my foot but I imagine it will stretch out with a little wear. I bought them for a trip to Alaska, and so far they have been great.

These had a more comfy and supportive sole than the Whisper, but the back strap really dug into my heel. Had to return.

I wear a 8.5W in most shoes, and found that this particular Keen model fits just a half size too small, and although they are not wide width the toe box is wide enough for my wide feet. Most of the other Keen shoes have gotten narrower over the years, but this one retains the wide toe box (yay!). I've had problems with their quality over the past few years (things coming unglued/unstitched after just a few months of normal wear). I'm hoping this pair will last a little longer than the others. It's really been miss more than hit lately with Keen.

I normally wear an 8 M. I need a generous toe box, both height and width, for arthritic toes. Unfortunately, this model doesn't provide it.

I think these shoes are changing (shrinking?). I have been wearing Newport H2s for years and years and have gone through more than a half dozen pairs. I have always loved that I can rely on their great fit. But. I have gone from a size 9 in previous pairs, to a 9.5 in the last couple of years. All my other shoes including other Keens are size 9. The last pair I ordered I sent back because they were too small. The footbed was visibly shorter than another pair. Zappos (because they are awesome!) sent me another 9.5 and a 10. I ended up keeping the 9.5, but it is definitely less roomy between the footbed and the upper part, and the toebox is a bit more constricted than previous pairs. I have always felt these were the greatest shoes ever, but this recent purchase has been frustrating and a little disappointing. I'll wear these and probably buy one more round at a later date in hopes that this was just a fluke.

my right foot is always the hard foot to fit and even tho I bought these 1/2 size larger than my normal 7,the right one was too short or maybe I needed a wider width. I didn't think they would stretch over time in the toe box. Otherwise would have loved them. My physical therapists wear them and highly recommended the Venice or Newport for best support.

I bought pairs of these for the last 2 years, but this year, the same size was way tight, but the length was perfect. Not sure if an anomaly or if they changed it (I'm hoping my pair was a dud and I can continue to get my regular size). At same time I ordered a Keen Venice, and that was actually roomy, but was able to cinch down as it is more adjustable in fit a tiny bit. The grey Newport is darker than photo and more of a charcoal color. Very nice neutral color combo. If it fit I would have kept it, but since leaving on vacation no time to go back and forth. I had bought a Whisper to take on trip, but turns out, while the upper is extremely wonderful, the foot bed is less supportive than the bulkier Newport and Venice. So while I like the looks and upper feel of the Whisper, I quickly ordered the Newport and Venice which are much better for lots of walking -- more cushion and better arches. Whisper has the better colors this year, whereas last year's colors for Newport and Venice were more appealing. Keen needs to do more light neutrals (taupe!) for those of us who use these for summer city travels, as that would go with city clothes better, than say bright blue sandals... Keens are the best.

Very cute but a lot narrower than my Newports that I am replacing after 5 years. I could probably live with breaking them in, but there is a spot that is rubbing on right toe. Not sure if I should order another half size up or go back to the old style. Did I mention how cute they were?

I like this shoe but it's too large and I'll have to send it back. I ordered an 8 because of the suggestions of others. I am a 7 or 7 1/2. It's the possibility of a half size that causes a problem sometimes. Also, a tad too wide. Otherwise wonderful for the right size and foot width -- nice looking, comfortable bed. Pretty color for long summer skirts.

I love the Keen Newport. I purchased these because I wore my last pair out! This shoe is comfortable, but I buy it for the arch support -- plus the fact I can toss it in the washer if need be. My only gripe is the color; I wanted something more neutral, but the color selections were pretty limited.

This is my third pair of Newport's. It is hot in New Orleans in the summer, and I like having a walking sandal where I don't need to wear socks. I was hoping to replace my last pair of Newport's with the Whisper. The Whisper is cut longer than the Newport. I did not find that the Whisper had as good arch support. These may not be the most attractive shoes, but they were work for exercise walking and beach hiking.

As far as construction goes, I can't say enough good things about this shoe. It gives excellent support and does so comfortably from the minute you put it on. It hugs the foot and keeps it exactly where it should be. It offers excellent protection for the toes and the soles. My only gripe, and it was a game changer, is that this shoe was hot. One purpose in getting them was as a cooler alternative to actual hiking shoes when going on short non-strenuous walks or to use for casual wear around town. These made my feet so warm I might as well have had on my hiking socks and heavy hikers.

Based on reviews I purchased half a size larger to accommodate my 8W foot, one which has tailor's bunion. My goal was to find sandals that protects my toes, can get wet and are comfortable. I wore these for two weeks prior to vacation in San Diego, all seemed fine. After full two days at parks,my feet got very tired and I had sore pinky toes from rubbing. I switched to my Earth flip-flops for a day. Keeping Keens since worn outside. I hope the fit gets better with time.

Ugly as sin, comfy as heck - These are incredibly comfortable, awesome for wearing for any activity, and easy to throw in the washer. They are way too ugly and casual for me to wear to work, but I love them for any summer athletic activity, for gardening, etc.

Wide-feeted people beware! These are cute as a button, but if you have wide-ish feet and/or high arches, I would recommend going up a full size, not just 1/2.

2nd pair, neither true to size - This is my second pair of Keens from Zappos. I gave the first pair away to my daughter...way too tight. The 2nd pair was also too tight...and after having tried to wear them to stretch them out, they are not returnable. I have a total of 4 Keens, 2 from Zappos and two from my neighborhood store. The ones bought locally SAME EXACT SIZE fit correctly. The ones from Zappos must be mismarked.

Try a different style if you have a high instep - I really wanted a pair of Newports, but I have a high instep and could not get this shoe on my foot. I even tried a full size larger, but no luck. The straps stretch a bit, but not a large amount. I ended up with a pair of the Keen Venice H2, which are comfortable, and more suited to a high instep.

Stay on comfort! Size up 1/2 size. Shoes stay snugly on your feet and are very comfortable from day one. A little difficult to slip on and off.

Multifunctional sport sandal. Versatile shoe that can be slipped on like a sandal but gives the support for walking and foot protection for outdoor adventures like a sneaker. My only concern is the lack of give in the back that may cause blisters on the back of the heel with prolonged walking. So far it is comfortable (haven't used it all that much) but may be improved by ability to adjust width fit as well as the length and possible more cushioning and elasticity in the posterior support.

Great day in water park and looking forward to sailing - I bought these after having knee pain from wearing old Teva-type action sandals to amusement parks w/my kids. I wore these for two solid days of Busch Gardens/Water Country USA and they were very comfortable and no pain. Plan to wear sailing this weekend. Great support, great in and out of water. They do look big on your foot, and there is a bump inside to get used to (by toes). Also, order a 1/2 size up as many have suggested.

Great cushioning and funky looks - I love the look of these shoes and they offer great support. My size experience was a bit different from others who posted here, though--I usually wear a 9 in a closed shoe and an 8 1/2 or a 9 in a sandal; these fit fine in a 9. I only gave four stars instead of five for comfort because they are a bit hot for a sandal--the synthetic soles make the bottoms of my feet sweaty, and they cover more of my foot than other sandals. On the other hand, I love that I can wear these kayaking!

Cool-but a bit hot! These shoes are extremely comfortable and cool looking. The downside is they are a bit hot in warm weather! I know this seems strange since they are so "open," but my feet never sweat, and they felt a bit clammy in these (perhaps because they are mostly rubber). A bit tough to pull on at first, but this wouldn't stop me from purchasing... Good for around town. For serious hiking they could become annoying––sticks, rocks, dirt, etc. can easily find their way into the shoe.
