Very disappointing. I wanted to replace a pair of Keen Venice sandals but it looks like they are phasing them out. Only a few sizes available. I loved them because they were wonderfully roomy in the front but secure in the heel. I never even got that far with the Newport. The top opening was so small, I couldn't even get my foot in it! And whereas the Venice had nice little loops at front in back to help you tug it on, the Newport loops were clearly for decoration only (not that they are particularly decorative - the whole shoe looked more cheaply made than the Venice). They are too small to even fit a finger in - and BTW, I'm pretty small. Why is it that when you find something great, they replace it with something that clearly has been made with less thought, care, and quality?

Too big for my feet! They looked like rafts on my feet.....large and rather ugly!

Instep was too high - i couldn't even get them on. I've had Keen Owyhee for years and wish you would get them back in stock.

Straps too tight for comfort. Have worn Keens for 20 years and these are just too uncomfortable to keep.

TOO TIGHT. have ordered company, style before and i can adjust the ties. this one is not comfortable.

These were the worse fitting pair of Keens I have ever purchased, and I have 8 pairs. I could barely get my foot into them, the webbing was so tight across the top and down by the toe that there was no room for my foot. They are being returned. I hope this is not due to cutting corners by Keen. They use to be, and I hope still are, a good company with a great product.

I ordered these for my daughter in her usual size, but she said they are too tight. I will be returning them.

I’ve been wearing this style since this first came out years and years ago. The last pair I purchased was about four years ago so I was really excited to get these new keens. What a disappointment! Another reviewer mentions the same thing that I’m going to say here. For whatever reason keen has completely changed this shoe! It now fits very narrow, and I have the narrowest, skinniest feet so these shoes should be nice and relaxed on me, just like my older pair. And the toe box is so short, and 8 is my normal keen size in this style and other keen shoes. They are very uncomfortable; to the point that I don’t even want to wear them outside the house. I purchased this at a local shoe store as a special order with no returns, therefore I’m stuck with a pair of Newports that I’ll never be able to wear! Do not buy these shoes! I will be contacting keen to voice my opinion. ?

I really wanted these to fit. When I finally squeezed into them, they were adorable. Not for my high arch. 8 is my size, but I couldn't get my foot into them. Always a disappointment, but glad to be able to do an easy return. Thank you, Zappos!

I have worm many Keen shoes for years and years. No matter the style, sandal, oxford or clog, a 10 has fit perfectly. Not so for this shoe, which was a replacement for same shoe. It was far shorter and I had to return it.

I am returning these. I could hardly get my foot into them and the part that goes around my ankle/instep was so tight there is no way I can spend even 10 minutes in them. Poorly made and disappointing for Keen.

These shoes are designed for adventure wear. I wore them on a 10 mile hike on flat terrain and the stitching came out on the ankle/heel connection which makes the shoe useless. Your mileage may vary but for what activities they are advertised for and their price I was disappointed they fell apart so quickly. Shoes should last longer than 10 miles!

I think there was an issue with one of the shoes. After one easy hike, I have a large blister on the outside of one foot. First pair of Keens and most likely my last.

I have been wearing Newports for over 10 years - always a size 7. Before ordering the shark color, I checked my current pair and my Zappos order history - yep size 7 ordered last in 2016. That pair was from Mexico. The new pair arrived, and my foot cannot fit - made in Cambodia. I don't know, is this poor supply chain management on Keen's part? BTW, it is not that my foot grew - I am still wearing the size 7 from 2016. I measured the shoes against each other, too. The new pair is just smaller. I will have to return. Very disappointed with Keen. I just hope 7.5 is what I need and not an 8.

The left shoe had a much different form for the heel -- sunk down compared to the right shoe. Very disappointed in Keen Quality control lately. More than one pair I tried had this same footbed discrepancy.

I couldn't even get my foot in; there's no give in the ankle strap.

Sadly these hiking sandals were too “rough” on the inside for my tender tootsies - too many spots rubbed uncomfortably. Very disappointed as I was really looking forward to wearing them on a hiking vacation. ??

Keen must have changed their shoe sizes as the 9.5 i purchased 1 year ago and the 9.5 i purchased now are a full size different. VERY FRUSTRATING!

Very, very disapointed! Keens used to be my go to summer shoes, great with a casual skirt or even climbing a mountain. I loved the colours these offered too but... I purchased these to replace a pair that didn't last a whole summer (quality problem) and now they have changed the length too. My regular size of 8s were too short, the 8/12s had the sole seam in a bad place, and my feet swam in the 9s. Time to look at Teevas.

I'm a longtime Keen wearer but these shoes were a total disappointment. Extremely narrow. Not true to size. Terrible synthetic smell. Definitely not what I've come to expect from Keen footwear.

Ridiculously short and small across the forefoot! The straps are significantly shorter than other Newport sandals. There is no excuse for Keen being unable to standardize their manufacturing across countries. Poor quality control.

I loved my Keen Whispers. and decided to try a different style. After wearing these on and off for a week, I ended up put them in the bag for the salvation army because my little toe protruded through the gap in the straps. Not matter how I adjusted them I could not make them comfortable. I guess this shoe design is not for me. I will go back to the Whispers.
