This is my second pair of Newport H2 by Keen. I bought my first pair in June of 2005 for my 50th birthday. They went with me to St. Thomas, D.C., and a few other places that summer. Last year, I hiked Diamond Head in Hawaii for my 60th birthday. The bottom finally separated from the top, but what do you expect for 10 years!!??!! They have comfortable and faithful for over a decade. I highly recommend them for adventure and casual lifestyle. Go for it.

A little tight to get on and break in took a couple of solid days worn. The loop on the heel broke off in under a week. The sandal is still wearable.

The color "Raven" and the picture would lead you to believe these are black. They are more like an olive/grayish color. You can never go wrong with Keens but I was expecting to get a darker pair.

This my third or fourth pair of these sandals. I wear them for yard work, light hiking, around the house, etc. They provide great arch support and toe protection. Great when your feet are going to get wet.

Bought these Keen's to replace some aging kayaking shoes. A several week delay in receiving them -- "out of stock." Is Keen still in business? Tried the size 13 and then the size 12. Why don't manufacturers include size 12 1/2 in their rosters? That would be just what I need. Seemed like the 12's would stay on in sticky mud better than the 13's. Just the slightest tad too short however. There is no heel strap adjustment to help secure the sandal. Had the opportunity to try them today on a river. The toe protection is great. The open holes in the side webbing do permit small stones to become entrapped beneath my feet (the replaced shoes have a mesh to exclude stones, but not sand). Was able to wear them driving home. If they will last 8 years and my feet don't grow, I will be pleased with them.

I am very pleased with my new Keen Newport H2 sandals. There are exactly what I expected from Keen. Excellent quality and design. Very comfortable for summer use. Cool, great traction, great for use around water, nice looking, easy to put on, effective odor control insole, etc. As with all Keen shoes, the length runs a little short for my typical shoe size, so I advise ordering at least a half size larger than your normal size. I highly recommend this shoe.

Definitely order 1/2 size larger as recommended. These only need a very short (couple of hours) break in period to become the most comfortable sandal you can find. I've used them canoeing, hiking and biking and they are great. No chafing or hot spots. They also have tremendous grip, even when walking over wet river rocks. They dry out nicely and don't deform after being wet.

Great shoe for most activities during the summer (walking, hiking, boating, rafting, etc.). These shoes are comfortable, breathable, and keep your grip even when the ground surface is wet.
