I like the comfort and the style of the shoe. What I like least about the shoe is the tiny difficulty of getting the shoe on, but if it weren't the way it is with the binder in back, then some stability would be missing. But overall, the shoe is excellent.

Great fit and very comfortable from the moment I put them on. Great for all weather conditions. Not quite as quick-drying as I expected, but a few hours in the sun will do the trick. Absolutely worth the money.

These sandals were great! They look good and are very functional for all types of walking--on the beach, in the water or whatever. They really dry fast too!

I have been searching for a replacement for my Tevas. I narrowed it down to these and the Keen Hood River. I ended up getting the Hood River, as I wanted the the additional stability that they provided. However, I would say for most people the Newport is the better choice. It is more comfortable, easier to put on and take off, and feels more balanced in terms of weight. The Hood River is lighter overall, but since the top of the sandel is so light, it makes the sole feel "heavier." If you are mainly looking for a sandal for walking, goofing off and light water use--this is your choice. If you are wondering why I went with the Hood River: I cannot stand it when my heel slips out of a sandal in the water--If you have ever jumped into water over your head and swam around with sandals or had to jump out of a raft in swift water you know what I mean. I'm sure this will happen with the Newport--even with the elastic sinched up all the way. There is no way this can happen with the Hood River with the pull through strapping. Also, since the securing material doesn't stretch, it is much more stable if you're jogging around. This stability does sacrifice a bit of comfort though.

These sandals are comfortable right out of the box (which, by the way, arrived one day after I placed the order, and although I bought them for a 6-day river trip, I've been wearing them as everyday casual sandals. Highly recommended!

I really really like these sandals. My entire family wears sandals all year long and these are perfect. We also love to play soccer in the park. The covered toe on these sandals is awesome.

Alas, a solution to Teva's stub toe problem! Comfy, looks good, seems rugged (climed and hiked in AZ with them for a couple days). They do develop a smell after a few days. Wash the bottom (inside) with soapy water every now and then and the smell will subside.

Great Sandal - This is a great knockaround sandal perfect for everyday wear. I may never have to buy another pair of flip flops again. And they hide knarly looking toenails.

I've found my dream shoe! I am a tour guide in Central and South America. My needs are for hiking on rocks, lava, gravel, sand, mud--you name it. This one will replace all but my heaviest hikers. As for comfort, I wore them out of the box for 8 hours and they felt like they were old comfy slippers. Don't want to snug up the lacing too much though, not necessary. The covered toe box is the greatest idea and I had to have these after seeing a photo of them. Also when worn the first time, I had lots of people asking how to get them. A five star rating from this adventurer.

The Best Gift - I bought the Keen Newport H2 Sandals for my husband for his birthday and he loved them. He said they are the most comfortable sandals he has ever worn. And they even have a great look to them. The quality is very good also!

I needed some sandals for a rafting trip and a Mexico vacation. All my friends have Tevas and I wanted something a little more extreme. I love the toe guard; it really helps when your trucking through all sorts of terrain. These rock!

Great kayaking shoe! This shoe has served well on extended kayaking trips. It's lightweight, has great grip on wet rocks and is a super camp shoe. The boxed toe protects! Great fit. All around rugged functional footwear!

Almost perfect--heel strap needs work. My requirements were comfortable, fully ventilated, lace-less shoes. Although this may sound like a sandal, I was also looking for a closed toe, secure fit, and an overall shoe-like appearance. The Newport H2 is a little bulkier and clunkier than I desired, but I'm getting used to that. Improvements over the Nike amphibious shoes I used to wear include a more substantial toe, and one of those anti-microbial insoles--that together with ventilation--cool. The heel strap seems to be this shoe's weakest point. On the first day, the pull loop on one heel strap began to rip free, and on the third, the stitching broke. This is a bummer because the strap is not substantial enough to slip on without fingers, (or a shoe horn). Also, putting the shoe on, the comfortable lining material tends to get folded under the strap. However, a Keen Newport with a substantial heel counter would probably be my ideal all-purpose shoe.

These are the best. Quite comfortable, good cushioning, with elastic straps underneath nylon straps so you can tighten or not. This shoe is perfect for everything. I love my sandals. No blisters, straps are soft and pleasant. Nylon is the way to go; no shrinking, stretching or maintenance, and the shoe is the correct size. Zappos shipped them to me in Maui for free within 5 days of ordering.
