My husband bought these shoes for a boat trip to Costa Rica, and he loves them. They wore beautifully for the whole trip, including the daily wet landings, and he continues to wear them on summer days for walking, light jogging, gardening, you name it. The toe cap makes them a good choice for activities you might not otherwise want to do in a sandal. They look pretty much like new, and they are several years old now. A really good shoe.

My husband wears a size 15 shoe, medium width. He's 65 years old and has foot issues. He loves Keen because there is always ample room in the toe area. This is his second pair of the Kern Sandle. These fit perfect, comfortable out of the box!

I was reluctant to spend this much on a pair of sandles but am very happy that I did. They took some time to break in but now are great for walking all day at amusement parks or the state fair. Unlike a lot of sandles they aren't smelly after getting wet or smelly.

I'm not sure how to describe this exactly, but the right shoe is "lopsided". Like, it never sits correctly on my foot. I keep trying to re-adjust it, but it never sits straight. And, and this is serious, I therefore adjust my gait in a not-good way. I compensate for the lopsidedness, and so my leg gets tired in weird places. This is my second pair of Keen's. I had a similar problem with my first pair, but they were too big. I thought maybe if I got the right size, that would fix the problem. No. These are the exact right fit, but they simply do not want my foot to sit correctly in the foot bed.

I love Keens in general and am ordering my 4th or 5th pair of the H2. Having said that, these break down at the leather panel in the back where the straps come together, WAYYY before the soles or any other components are gone. Serious design flaw, particularly for the nylon strap version. The leather versions are a bit sturdier, but don't dry out as fast and get stained and beat up after a while.... not even sure if they are around any more. I had the last pair re-sewn at a local shoe repair, and he confirmed that he sees that portion break down all the time. The repair lasted 6 months or so, so something is not designed properly to handle the strain of those straps coming together at that location lateral to the heel. Anyway, they are still the best I've found, so I'm ponying up for another pair, which will probably last through 2 summers and 2 tropical winter vacations, just like the last 2 pair. Not bad, but they should be capable of more. Chaco's for example, will last for years and years, they just don't offer any toe protection, are a bit heavier and difficult to adjust to avoid blisters at the big toe. The two companies should merge and build the perfect water sandal.

Comfortable, practical, durable and rinsable. A great shoe for summer hiking/walking or anywhere you need extra support/protection and also some air flow for cooling. I like the neoprene covering underneath the cross-straps, and the bungee-style tension laces. Plenty of room at the toe box for movement. The only things that would make these better for the next version would be a softer footbed on top of the EVA that allows for more sweat wicking, evaporation and air movement, and a bit more arch support. The molded plastic is very stiff and gets clammy.

I bought these for my 11 yr old son for a trip to DisneyWorld. We knew there would be a lot of walking so they needed to be comfortable but also could get wet, and also dry quickly. They definitely fit the bill. He never complained that his feet hurt and are easy to take on and off. They will definitely be his go to sandal for the remainder of the summer as he can run, bike, walk, etc. in them. Yet, they still keep his feet cool. And a bonus, they look pretty cool as well.

To me, they are by far the best sandal out there. I've tried a lot of brands over the years and I liked these the most for comfort, look and durability.

I have bought and worn Keen Newport sandals (H2 and regular) for years. Love them! They have a nice wide toebox. Sturdy. Durable. I keep buying them because they meet my high standards year after year.

I bought these shoes for my son for an upcoming river trip. He loved the shoes and said he would absolutely recommend them.

Great looking shoe, but if you have big ankles or high instep (not arch) you can't wear these things without having an unbearable tight fit around your ankle. The ankle has no adjustment. If it did, I would order a bunch of these.

Got these for my husband its his first pair of Keens, he loves them and was amazed at the support and comfort he has in them.

I bought these for my husband to wear when we kayak. They are great. They seem to be made very well and I think they will last for a long time. He has had his foot stuck in the mud a couple times and when he pulls it out and washes the shoe in the river it comes clean. Love these

The Keen Newport H2 worked out quite well for me. I have a narrow foot, and I wear orthotics in my shoes. This combination makes it difficult to obtain any type of sandal much less a pair that will work around water, such as Maui beaches. Good effort Keen!

My son loves these shoes. He started wearing Keens when he realized he had the same shoe size as me, and I lost them for a summer. Now that his feet are grown, he has his own pair. These newer Keens (I had the old-school all-rubber ones) are much more comfortable than the old ones and don't seem to pick up as much odor--likely because they are much better ventilated. He'll be using them not only around town, but when he goes to scout camp they'll be his water shoes. The traction on Keens is amazing, and they are comfortable all day.

The Keen sandal is a very nice shoe. The open design helps keep your feet cool in hot temps. I should have paid more attention to the suggestion to order them 1/2 size larger.

A great old standby! I keep reordering these every 3 to 4 years when my current pair gets too worn. I wear them all summer long, every day. All around a great shoe!

I find the foot bed to be slightly stiff, but that may change with some wear. Overall, relatively pleased with the shoe's performance as an outdoor and hiking piece.

I was working in the yard when these came. Put them on straight away and they were great!

Keen are easily one of my favorite footwear companies. Have purchased lace-ups, slip-ons, and sandals. This may be my 3rd set of Keen sandals, and the second of this model, or perhaps the 3rd. Regardless... repeat purchases and brand-loyalty are all y'need to know. I really like Keens for the comfortable arch support, the reinforced toes, and the firm soles. I'm always kind of between sizes... these would run a bit small. Zappos is, of course, always a 10/10... used to think buying shoes online was totally weird. Now... where else would I buy them?

These are my favorite shoe for walking in so cal and hawaii sidewalks.

Great shoe over all! My sons wears these most of the year, then we pass them onto our friend when they outgrow them, and they are still in a great condition. And my sons are rough on them - water, sand, rocks, ... then we wash them, and they look great again to wear with pants to a restaurant... The only reason why I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that they feel a bit heavy on the foot, esp. when you're switching from sneakers at the beginning of the warm season.But the boys get used to it after a while.

Last pair I bought 2 years ago they were made in Dominican Republic now made in Mexico. May have to go up a full size to fit.
