This is my third pair of Newport H2 since Keen came on the market. My second pair were more narrow and I even went up a size. Looking at my latest pair there is a definite narrowing of the toe box. Is this to cater to the fashion conscious who think they are too boxy? I bought Keen because they allowed my feet to be in a comfortable position, my toes to splay while walking and because of their unique look. Is this a trend? What is going on Keen?! Zappos on the other hand is reliable and great!

These are good looking sandals, but definitely between one-half and a full size smaller than comparable shoes.

Great looking shoes but they were too small and had to be returned plus the back strap is not adjustable.

This is my.... (thinking...) 6th pari of H2's. This is the first time in years of buying these sandals that I was disappointed. Did Keen change their manufacturing location or process? I've always taken a size 10 in these until this purchase. The 10's were way smaller in feel and sitting side-by-side my 2 year old existing pair of H2's. Actually had to purchase a size 11 and I can tell you at my age my feet are not growing.
The other main difference is the feel and comfort has changed. My footbed in my older sandals (all my H2's were purchased here at Zappos even before amazon purchased them) is a different material than this recent purchase. Not as comfortable. Kinda bummed as these sandals have provided me with miles and miles of outdoor activities. My Keen Uneek O2's are now my favorite but unfortunately they are not meant for trail and running around with the dog. Not nearly the support.
Maybe someone at Zappos reading this can confirm (or deny) that Keen changed something in their manufacturing process. Cause there is no way this new pair is close to my older pairs of H2's in size or quality.

I really liked these shoes at first - great color and fit. I wore them as much as I could (weekends and evenings mostly). I was challenged that they wore out so quickly. The "uppers" started peeling apart from the shoe in March. Today I had to retire them because they were physically hurting my feet.

I bought these to replace the previous pair that i wore to death. Great shoes!!! BUT i had to return them (as well as most of the Keens I got in the last few years); compared to my last ones (i held them up next to each other) they are shorter by about a size, and several sizes NARROWER. Why? There are so many shoes out there for people with narrow feet. These were the only ones for us people with wide feet. Too bad.

This was the first pair of Newport H2 that we had to purchase for my son in a men's size. I donor like this design at all!! The kids have the benefit of having and adjustable Velcro strap on them, these do not. It makes them very difficult to get on and off. We ordered his normal size and he couldn't even get his foot in so we ordered the next full size up. Finally with some struggling he got his foot in. Once in they are comfortable. But why in the world would they not include an adjustable strap for men they are not all created equal!!! Boo on you Keen!! Hopefully they rethink this design. As for us I got the shoe wet, put a can of soup on the ankle area lengthwise, and let them dry. They are now stretched out to the point that my son can make use of them because other than that, these are the very best supportive sandal around. He wears them to camp all summer long and never has gotten his toes hurt etc.

I'm not sure how to describe this exactly, but the right shoe is "lopsided". Like, it never sits correctly on my foot. I keep trying to re-adjust it, but it never sits straight. And, and this is serious, I therefore adjust my gait in a not-good way. I compensate for the lopsidedness, and so my leg gets tired in weird places.
This is my second pair of Keen's. I had a similar problem with my first pair, but they were too big. I thought maybe if I got the right size, that would fix the problem. No. These are the exact right fit, but they simply do not want my foot to sit correctly in the foot bed.

I love Keens in general and am ordering my 4th or 5th pair of the H2. Having said that, these break down at the leather panel in the back where the straps come together, WAYYY before the soles or any other components are gone. Serious design flaw, particularly for the nylon strap version. The leather versions are a bit sturdier, but don't dry out as fast and get stained and beat up after a while.... not even sure if they are around any more.
I had the last pair re-sewn at a local shoe repair, and he confirmed that he sees that portion break down all the time. The repair lasted 6 months or so, so something is not designed properly to handle the strain of those straps coming together at that location lateral to the heel.
Anyway, they are still the best I've found, so I'm ponying up for another pair, which will probably last through 2 summers and 2 tropical winter vacations, just like the last 2 pair. Not bad, but they should be capable of more. Chaco's for example, will last for years and years, they just don't offer any toe protection, are a bit heavier and difficult to adjust to avoid blisters at the big toe. The two companies should merge and build the perfect water sandal.

Great looking shoe, but if you have big ankles or high instep (not arch) you can't wear these things without having an unbearable tight fit around your ankle. The ankle has no adjustment. If it did, I would order a bunch of these.

These are nice but your foot needs to be compatible with the fit. They are not as adjustable for a customized fit as other brands such as Teva. If they do fit your feet, they are easy to pull on and off. But if the fit requires adjustment, you will need to look elsewhere.

Great fit, great feel, great style. Wonderful to walk around in all day, and great in/out of water. This is my third pair - so I do like them. The one thing I wish they'd work on is the durability of the seams where the backstrap comes together with the rest of the shoe. It degrades and comes apart on both pairs I've owned.

I've always loved Keen H2 sandals -- I've purchased 3 pairs from Zappos and they were always a comfortable perfect fit right out of the box. I wear them constantly until they need replacing. However I was disappointed with the 4th pair I just ordered from Zappos as they felt significantly smaller than my previous Keens which I've always ordered in size 11 1/2. So I exchanged them for a size 12 which was also uncomfortably small. The next size up is a 13 so I will not try to exchange them again because I can't imagine that a 13 won't be too large.

While the shoe itself is the right size, the heal strap is way too tight. My husband couldn't even get the shoe on. Either this pair has a defect or they need to refashion the make of this. He has other keen sandals that don't have this problem, same size.

I like the design of these shoes for amphibious wear. However, when I gave it some all-day outdoor use, the stitches started to come out on the side of one of the shoes. I'm taking a chance on them again, but ordering a half size larger. I traditionally wear a 9.5 but the 10 was small for me and quite hard to get on.

I bought these for a hiking trip where I need added toe protection while crossing a river. As noted in other reviews, this shoe is running a half size smaller. The anatomical footbed is okay but not great. Tevas tend to have better support since I know I wear them all day due to plantar fasciitis.

Ordered these after buying Newports and thinking that I might want a different material for the upper. Ordered in an 11 which is a perfect fit in Newport but I can't even get my foot in them in the Newport H2. Why are 11's so different in virtually the same shoe? Returning. Also, the color pattern on this one is a bit odd.

The style of this sandal was ok, but the big black rubber toe cap was a bit much, as in too large. It also did not have any arch support, and it was very heavy. The heaviness was due to the large amount of rubber in the toe cap. It felt a bit like I was walking around in clogs as they slapped down on my wooden floors in my house, during test walk. Not light like I think sandals should be. It was also difficult for me to pull the back strap over my heel to get the sandal on. Not like it was too small, it was the correct size for my foot, just the fact that the back strap was not adjustable made it a tight fit to pull over my heel - it would have been a real pain to do this the 100,000 times I would have had to do it over the life of the sandal. I went with the Teva Omnium Leather. The Teva felt much lighter, had a smaller rubber cap on the toes, had velcro straps on the top and back, plus a buck on the top strap, and had better arch support. The Teva is much easier to get off/on your foot, feels nice and light, and gives you some arch support in your foot - makes you feel like you could go for a trail run in them.

I have had these for 15 months now. They still look great and have nearly all the tread left, which is highly rare for me. I use them at the gym as well as daily wear at home and out and about. The soles are thick with plenty of support and have retained their original shape very nicely. I have a wide foot but these sandals have plenty of room for me. Occasionally I wear them into the shower and scrub them down with soap and they look new again. Very tough construction. Well worth the price.

I purchased this model to replace pretty much the same shoes, same size, and thought they would fit. They don't. They are tot small. Love the brand, but something changed. Not happy with the purchase. Not your fault I guess, but some warning about size would have diverted me to another brand or size.

I tried the Newport H2 on at a local store but couldn't find a color I liked. I tried on the 10.5 and had room to spare so tried on the 10.0; Ultimately decided that the 10.5 was most comfortable. My 10.5 arrived from Zappos and I could barely get them on. They felt smaller that the 10.0 I tried on in a local store. And the right foot felt half a size smaller still. I don't know if this is simply a poor quality control issue with mislabeling.

These sandals have only one flaw. They are huge. What I did not realize before purchasing them is that the only tie system is the yellow lace lock which works like a lanyard. You cannot tie these sandals nor does it have Velcro attachments. The stability in this case is greatly compromised. How can you walk distances in shoes that you cannot tie or can barely adjust the lacing system? Otherwise the hybrid idea is great but why not go the extra mile and add Velcro or allow us to tighten the fit. They are good for the beach or around the pool/boat/house. These will not be going on any walks anytime soon.

These work good as a water show. They don't dry all that quickly, but what does it matter in summer when you are in and out of water all day. One problem as a walking / hiking shoes is that rocks get stuck in them quite easily depending on the terrain. If you are near a source of water to shake out the rocks, this usually alleviates the problem though.

This was my first pair of Newport H2s. They are super comfortable, and I love the styling. My only thing is the sole started separating in the back after only a few months. This makes then uncomfortable to walk in as you feel the sole coming up. Keen gave me a replacement under warranty but I am not sure how long they will last ...
