I am on my third pair so obviously am convinced. Spend a lot of time at a lake house in and out of the water a love them - comfortable, great protection for feet, wear well. They are my primary summer footwear. The one thing Keen could improve is the durability of where the strap that goes around ankle joins the rest of the sandal. This is where my Keens have come apart. Still much better than other summer time footwear

I would not recommend if you have wide feet. The shoes look great, and I can feel that the support is fantastic, so if they fit, I'd strongly suggest them. Unfortunately, they didn't come close to fitting, even after trying three different sizes. If they had an option for "felt more than a full size smaller" I'd choose it. I have wide feet, so I know buying a full size larger is often required to get shoes (that don't come in wide) a full size larger. The 10.5 I bought (my size) were so short, my big toe touched the end of the toe box. At 11.5, the shoe finally felt "almost right" in the length department but I could tell it was still too short. In the width department, normally going up a full size makes shoes wide enough to wear. At a full size larger they were still so tight my little toe scraped against the shoe inside. So they may be great for "normal" width feet, but if you're a wide, I would try to find another style (which is virtually impossible in a water shoe).

The shoes fit nicely and are comfortable right away without a breaking-in period. If I'm not wearing socks, I can feel the breeze around my feet as I walk, though they're surprisingly warm when I'm standing or sitting. Visually, they're not super-pretty, but they're substantial enough that most people won't notice they're sandals at first glance when viewed from the front. The material seems durable and the workmanship is of high quality. They are slightly challenging to put on; I find I have to sort of crawl my foot into them using my toes before there's enough clearance to pull up the rear strap. Not a big deal, just something to get used to. They're surprisingly heavy, thanks to the thick sole. Heavier than some of my completely-enclosed shoes, more like the weight of small boots. If you're considering these as an extra set of footwear to take on a backpacking trip or a hike, make sure you're prepared for the extra weight.

I'm pleased with this sandal which I purchased specifically for hiking in rivers in Bryce Canyon. Most reviews cite no break in period; I concur, but I've been wearing them to get used to the feel. They are not as comfortable as my shoes when driving a car, but they have been fine for walking. I look forward to trying them out on uneven terrain.

These are a great cross between sandals and tennis shoes. They are comfortable with plenty of cushioning. I have only purchased Teva's before, but this sandal is just as good.

Awesome all purpose outdoor shoes. I used them hiking, fishing and just walking around. My only issue with them is when they get wet, they tend to stay wet and make your feet stay wet until you take them off and dry them and your feet off, which is not always impractical if you are out and about.

I tried the Keen NewportH2 and the Keen Turia Sandal, as well as a few other brands. The Keen shoes were the finalists. Both were a bit small for the size tso there was a tie on that. The Newport H2 was a relatively tighter fit around the foot and toes. That made it harder to get on and more snug once on the foot. I liked the look of the Keen Newport H2, but preferred the relatively more spacious feel of the Turia.

The stiching came out on the side of the shoe around the Keen logo while we were on vacation. It didn't affect the shoe itself so my husband wore it anyway. I bought the shoes specifically for our vacation to Florida, Disney, etc. He had worn them less than 20 hours total when he noticed the stitching coming unravelled. I returned them but will most likely order another pair, hoping that the poor workmanship was just a fluke. My son and I both have Keens that we wore and had no problem with ours. They were pretty comfortable overall, although they wore blisters on my son's feet after 2 days at Disney World. I thought the fact that you can loosen these came in handy; after walking for hours your feet can get pretty swollen and it was a relief to be able to adjust the tightness.

so far they are very comfortable, look great, well built. I have not taken them canoing yet, but the soles seems like they would perform as one would want to.

Only had these for 1+ weeks, but these sandals were great for several days of hiking in Arches and Canyonlands without the need for break in. Sole has excellent grip. Fully enclosed toe makes these sandals a winner. Minor downside: the material of the shoe bottom tends to make the bottom of your feet sweat - however since the shoes are open and well ventilated and are waterproof so can be dowsed with water occasionally this is not a big issue.

I bought these for my husband. We love Keen because they make many styles in large sizes (14-15). The sizing was the same as other Keen shoes. It did take a little time to wear in the shoes.

I purchased a pair in 2006, and still wear them. Though, one of the reasons I purchased the H2 version was the advertised "quick-drying" feature. I wore these sandals on a weeklong paddling trip in Voyageurs Natl Park, and the shoes never really dried out. Got blisters from wearing wet shoes the whole week. I give these sandals a 4 out of 5 stars, but only because of the quick-dry issue. I'd buy another pair if my current ones would ever wear out. :) However, they are long-wearing, comfortable.....and almost as easy to put on/take off as flip-flops. Good protection for your toes.

Bought these on sale to complement my older leather pair. These are great sandals. Quality might be slightly reduced compared to the older ones.

I bought these in a size 15 for may very tall 12 year old son. He loves them! They are very comfortable. My only complaint is that some of the stitching is coming loose on that piece that comes up from the ankle with the Keen logo on it, but I think that he is just very rough on all his shoes.

I usually wear a 13. Got the 12 to ensure a good fit when in the water.

This was the first time that I ordered a pair of footwear online, and the whole process was seamless. The build quality of the sandals/slippers is extremely rugged and just what I expected from such a product. It did not look as good on my foot as I had expected, but I guess that's a bit of a personal preference. All in all, a pretty good, rugged product for outdoor activities. Good support for the foot. Only issue was that the back strap cut into my foot due to repeated rubbing.

A very good water shoe that is fairly comfortable walking dry land. Drains easily. Only two issues - little pebbles will get in between your sole and the shoe and then you must take of the shoe to shake out the stone. Whether wet or dry the shoe is a bit hard to get on do to the non-elasticity of the back strap. But worth the price!

I have been a Keen customer for years, I have bought shoes for hiking and another that I have backpacked the world with for 6 months, never failed me they are true to comfort, size and durability. These are my first sandals though and I have to say I love them. My girlfriend have had the same ones for years and wears them outdoors all the time, I have used them twice so far and in terms of comfort they are an A plus. I have to tell you if they are durable in a couple of years, much recommended if you want something light and comfy and waterproof to wear.

I enjoyed the H2's a lot for the first few months of ownership. I took them on a cruise, did lots of trekking through beaches, sand, forest trails, malls, puddles, streets, baseball fields, you name it: These babies never faltered. Fast forward 6 months later and I'm a feeling a little bummed out about them. I still think they fit great, look fairly good and are super functional, but I've noticed that they trap any and all odor from my feet. Even after several washes both by hand and by machine, I can't get rid of that nasty stench. Now, before you move to the next review, hear me out. I'm not going to suggest my feet smell like roses; I have normal feet just like you and that guy right over there, yeah, that guy. But...I've never had foot odor in my life, outside of the occasional basketball game or heavy work day. Rarely do I smell my feet, or does anyone complain about my shoes or socks smelling, ever. However, with the H2's, I can't shake the smell. They have somehow trapped the odor from my feet for good, no matter how many times I've washed them. So, unfortunately, my H2 crop dusters are sitting out on my patio now, banished from the house, wafting in the breeze and causing animals from near and far to think twice about hanging around my house. My advice: wash your Keens frequently or you might be surprised to find that your lovely feet...reek! Good luck, happy walking and may pleasant aromas fill your nasal cavities with each comfy step in your killa' Keens! Buying from Zappos was possibly the best online shopping experience I have ever had.

Very comfortable sandals with great toe protection. Very good looking as well. They even have reflective stitching sewn in. I measure a 12 wide, and the 13 D fits me well, so I would say they run a bit small but wide. The only issue I have is that stitching on inside ankle panel of both shoes came apart after one weekend of hiking. This was with a brand new pair, only 2 weeks old.

I'm not one to write reviews, however, this sandal is, in my opinion, very good, especially with respect to quality and appearance. I normally wear a size 10 Medium to Wide street shoe. Bought this to wear without socks. Forefoot appears wide in appearance, however my toes were not cramped at all. Very attractive color combination. My only complaints are two and would have liked more 'air space openings' and sole is sort of 'stiff' and does not flex easily. It's sort of 'clunks' when I walk. But these are new and have not walked anywhere except inside. When broken in, maybe they will be different. Quality appears very good.

I got these for my husband to replace his Tevas. He likes the Keens. Great for playing around in the river. However, they obviously don't dry as fast as Tevas. He also bikes to work in the keens and likes the protection over the toe.

Good-looking; comfortable; reasonably light-weight; durable soles; good traction; good lace-locking device. Not as "airy" as they could be and feet remain a bit sweaty. Glad I bought them. 4-1/2 stars.
