This is my 3rd pair of Newports. Nothing fits and feels like a pair of Keens do, period.

I am a nomadic traveler on the road for 365 days a year, and my Keens are the only shoes I bring. I've hiked steep canyons in them and crossed cities in them. The all black ones are subtle enough that most people don't notice them if I'm entering a restaurant or business. The only issue I have with them, is that they do pick up foot odor despite claiming to be odor resistant. This is probably because the sole retains heat. This is great in cooler climates, but they can get too hot in warmer climates.

Took these for a trip hiking through the jungle in Costa Rica. They were perfect

I have had 10+ pairs of Newport H2's (all the same size) but for some reason, this pair is a little smaller than any of my previous. In fact, I wore them hiking, & wore on my toe until it's turned purple.

Where is the more colorful model?

I have worn this style for many years. I have always wanted the Triple Black, and love them.

Ive used Keen Newports and H2s since 2008, they are stoutly built, rugged and very comfortable. They give me the toe protection I need in a sandal, and I dont care what Keen says, I dont think they are even that ugly. The attached pics are of those original sandals (2008) that lasted almost 15 years. Granted, I didnt wear them daily, but they sure did a dang good job for a long time. I highly recommend the Newports or the H2s. They will serve you well, and they are worth the money.

This is my third pair of Newport H2 sandals and they never disappoint! The H2's have improved over the years - no more bad smell from the footbed. I ordered these directly from the Keen website, and I won't use Amazon or Zappos again. Keen makes it simple and easy - they were delivered ahead of schedule.

Not wide enough

Secure comfortable fit. Durable.

There is no flexibility in the strap that goes over the heel. I originally bought a 7.5 (my son's shoe size). He couldn't get them on due the back strap. I returned them and got the next size up. (Which is almost too big) again a struggle to put on due to the back strap that goes over the heel.
