We've had great luck with Keens in the past, but the arch in this shoe is not in the correct place for my son's foot. Good looking shoe, but just didn't fit right.

Slippery when wet. Crazy that shoes that are meant for hiking etc. slip on any type of slick surface. In Hawaii I almost fell twice by stepping on a metal grate and other slick surfaces, while my wife had on flip flops with a better grip. Ended up returning them.

Wow, I love these sandals. I've been wearing my first pair of Newport H2's for so long I can't remember, likely about 5 years now. However, I ordered a new pair and elected to send them back because, I really need Keen to come up with a better lining material or find some way to make that protective toe more breathable. These are great sandals but way too hot with that toe and the neoprene liner. These end up being stinky hot sticky sandals. So I'm going to stay away until Keen starts putting some micro perforations in that toe and line it with some thing that doesn't make it even hotter. Think chambrel or something along those lines for wicking.

The pull strap ripped out of the back of the left shoe after only one week...not a horrible thing, but definitely inconvenient. Otherwise, these are great shoes.

The shoe was large enough, but I could not get the heel strap over my heels. The heelsstrap is too short and has no give to it.

Great looking shoe, seems like good workmanship and material, but, wow, no adjustable back or top strap and very difficult to put on. Impossibly tight despite being the right length and nominally the right size (42 euro/9 US). I've never had that problem in a shoe before.

I bought these for my husband who has a very high arch. Without the ability to open the heel strap he couldn’t Get his foot in the sandal so they have to be returned. Keens are great overall, but this style didn’t work.

Could not really comment on width or arch support because I could not get my foot fully into the shoe. It was a men's size 7, which is a women's 9, but the back ankle strap has no flexibility to allow a foot (my foot) to enter. The shoes also seemed very heavy, which is unusual in Keens that I've owned in the past. I am sad that they did not fit and had to be returned.
I'd also recommend:

good looking shoes... very comfortable to walk in... hiking 30 miles a day not a problem... but there is one thing about this shoes that bugs me... if you not going to wear socks with this shoes your feet going to stink like hell... and shoes will smell so bad, that you will not be able to leave them in the same room... so, if you hike with someone who can tolerate your smelly feet, it's not going to be a problem... other than that shoes are great..

My feet are a size 9½, but for the past few years, I have had to size up to a 10, in order for most shoes to fit properly. I ordered these Keens in a 10. They are not super difficult to put on, nicely padded, but I have two issues. They were way to long. They squeezed my feet on the sides, towards the front. I exchanged the 10 for a 9½. They are way more difficult to get on, tight around sides but I did not feel same pressure points at with 10 (which was nicer). A bit short, and my toes hit top of Keens when walking. They may work wonderfully for you, as I know what does not work for one person may work beautifully for another. It is Zappos, buy it and try it.

I live in the high desert, mountains and a river. These shoes work for both except for when the heel support starts to get loose because the stitching becomes undone. I had this problem with more than two pairs from either hiking or being in the water. These shoes are not cheap and are cheaply made. I guess I have to try another style or different brand.

Extremely hard to get on! The heel strap is very difficult to stretch over the heel. My son struggled every time until we decided to buy another brand.

We ordered Keen Newport size 14 and when they came they were completely marked the wrong size. They are marked a 14 but they are only a size 12. The shoes were for my husband who is a 14 he couldn't even get them on his feet, but they fit our son who is a size 12 perfectly. (Unfortunately our son didn't need any sandals.)

If you have a high arch, this shoe is not for you! The kids' model has velcro around the top so its adjustable. My kids love them, but not for me.

Different sized left and right- I purchased a pair (size 9 men’s) of Keen Newport H2s, and found them to be just a bit tight. I typically wear 8.5s or 9s in other shoes. I ordered the size 9.5 H2s and was surprised to find they felt tighter than the 9s (I still had the 9s to make a better comparison). In addition, the right 9.5 shoe was clearly larger than the left 9.5 (when placed sole to sole). I'm going to keep the 9s, but I've certainly had more comfortable sandals in the past.

What about replacement elastic closure cord? I have a pair of Newport H2 sandals, which I LOVE for comfort and looks (they are lilac colored - very cute). However, I also have a brand new puppy who got her teeth on the elastic cord and quickly had it chewed in pieces. I thought that replacing it would be a snap. Not so. I emailed Keen, and they promptly sent me the hard plastic part, but I have yet to find a store that carries Keens that also sells replacement shoelaces. For $80+ for a pair of shoes, you would think they would have thought about the eventuality of a broken shoelace. Once they address this issue, I will be keener on my Keens.

- On the right foot sandal, the stitching/gluing make part of the strap hard around the middle (on the inside edge) that pokes, rubs against the foot (see the photo). So I will return these. - Fixed, closed back strap makes putting on the sandals bit harder, annoying. Keen Newport H2 is not a replacement for Keen Rialto H2, long discontinued. Sketcher sandals had seemingly flimsy back strap. Looks like back to laced-shoes & open-toe sandals? ... may try Teva closed toes sandals.

The shoe was so small that my son couldn't get it on. He always wears a 9 1/2, so maybe it was a mistaken label?

Opening was so small that I could not get these on my feet. I have Teva's that are much easier to get on. My wife and I both tried to figure out how to get them on, and with a combined education level of post-doctorate and over a combined 120 years of living, the only way we thought these could be worn was to cut the opening--not an option. I would not recommend to anyone who has a larger than pencil thin ankle or lower leg.
I'd also recommend:

This shoe seems to be exactly the size that fits me - but I can't get my foot through the opening. I can't get either of my feet INTO the shoe. Very frustrating. Why design a shoe that you can't get your foot into?

What happened to the quality?! I've owned three previous pairs of H2's, each lasted at least three years, and this last pair falls apart after only *four months*! The heel strap pulled out of the sole , which got an emergency shoe-goo field repair, and then less than a week after that, the heel loop broke apart. I loved these because I always knew they would fit and last, but after this pair, I don't think I can trust the build quality anymore.

After less than two months of moderate use (mostly just walking down the street, some easy hiking, a little use in a lake, nothing the least bit rugged), the seams began to come apart. Keens have declined in quality in the past five years. I no longer buy their boots, since the last two pair I had crumbled in about two years, and when I contacted Keen about them, I got no response at all. Zappos has been great so far about exchanging. Trying another pair of these to see if it was a fluke problem with the water shoes. I do not know why the pics below are 90 degrees off when loading, but they are. Sorry.
