Beautifully made by today's standards. Perhaps best to order one (1) size larger as this new Bison has a closed toe and requires extra room. This Sandal also is tight to get into, perhaps for a better fit down the road. A shoehorn is a handy devise. !

Really like my Keene Newport sandals. I'm an avid canoeist and needed footwear which was waterproof and provided good traction when wet, plus kept my toes protected against rocks and roots. I especially like the way they drain quickly when getting back in my boat. I also agree with the suggestion from an L L Bean consultant to order them one size larger since I'd be wearing them with NRS water socks. My only reason for not awarding 5 stars is the uppermost fabric/elastic band makes getting them on just a bit harder than I had hoped. I did find that by pushing my feet as far forward as I can and then pulling up the heel strap lets me get them on easier.

I look forward to seeing if these hold up.

Well, this sandal is probably right for most. I usually wear size 9. My last Keen sandals are 9s. The last pair of shoes I bought were New Balance, with a narrow width. They are 9 1/2. I ordered these Keen sandals as a 9. Felt great, just like my old ones, except.... the end and top of my big toes rubbed. There was no ignoring it; I was going to get a blister. I exchanged them for 9 1/2. The 9 1/2 is, well, a half size bigger than 9, so they are a little big for me, but the big toe doesn't rub. They are OK in the heal, but wide across the bigger part of the foot. My left toe rubs. I can make do with these, and will keep them, but I won't live in them like I did my old Keens. Final thought. My old Keens still fit great, the leather is in great shape and the tread is not worn, after eight years. But, the soles have come loose from the bottom of the shoes. Bums me out, because I love the look and feel of Keens. I've had a pair of low cut hikers for years. Wish the quality was the same as it used to be.

Great sandal!!

This is my fourth pair of Newports, replacing my first pair. Previous ones have fit great. This one is so small that I will have to return it for replacement. Perhaps they have hanged manufacturers over time. Not sure that I can recommend that you purchase men's sandals on-line without trying them on.

This is my third pair and I love them I do get a lot of life out of them. I think this is in 10 years my third pair.

I have bought 10 pairs over the last twenty years. Being an avid walker, at least 5 miles a day, I just love these sandals. By far the most comfortable shoes Ive ever worn. Highly recommend the original classic Newport leather sandals. Just fixing to purchase another pair as the quality has always remained top flight.

Comfortable sandal

There is no leather on the inside of the saddle, the feet does not touch any leather at all, the leather is just for look, and it doesnt help the feet.

Not too bad a fit and reasonably comfortable if you follow the sizing guidelines

Nice sandals but it would be better if I could open/close the back

Probably my fifth pair over at least ten years. Extremely comfortable and wear them year round even in the winter months in Alaska.

My new Keen Newport Leather Sandals are great. However, I had a problem with the on-line order and two shipments of the same product were unintentionally made. One order included a free shipping sale cost of $105 and the other a sale cost of $115. I returned one pair and your company refunded me the lower cost of $105. Of course, I requested the larger amount, $115, and was a bit disappointed when just the lower cost of $105 was refunded. For a future purchase I am hoping the Mens Newport Leather Sandal will be available in a medium gray color. Ive worn size 12 Keens in different styles for plus twelve years. These were too small! Quality is there. Styles discontinued much too often for my liking. I sent them back.

These are okay, they fit well, are difficult at first to put on and off, but I'm most put off that they are not at least assembled in American. I've been searching for sandals made in the USA and would change to those on a dime.

Great fit right and very comfortable right out of the box. Highly recommend, will buy again.

Great multipurpose sandal ,very well made

Bought these to replace an old pair. They were instantly as comfortable as the old pair. Wore them on a 10 day trip to Montana.
