Bought a few different sandals for my daughter to use this summer and tried them all on at home. They did fit differently and based on how she is/was walking-toddling. These fit her foot well with room to grow out the toe of course. They also seem to offer enough protection without ending up being too hot because the toe is closed. She also seem to work well on them and didn't have to adjust her gate in anyway which is what I was primarily looking at. And it was really nice that the red is a cute and fun color! Great buy for the price. Only "problem" is just that the buckle isn't as easy as some Velcro when you're trying to put the shoes on your child. Highly recommend you order a few different styles and see what suits your child best.

This brand definitely runs a bit narrow. My daughter has an average foot and it was difficult getting it on. I would size up. There are certain "Hoy" styles that she can't wear at all...

Love these shoes! Although this style worked well for my slim-footed 6 year old (size 13) but when I tried the size 8 for my 2 year old they were too narrow. I might try a different style of Salt Water Sandals because they are so pretty, versatile and I love the kids learning to buckle by themselves.

This is the 4th pair of Salt Waters I've purchased for my girls. I love the style and the fact that they're genuine leather. For some reason, the leather on this pair began to fray around the soles just a tiny bit. I haven't noticed that with other pairs. That's why I'm not giving it 5 stars.

This is a great sandal that my 6 year old loved wearing. Comfortable and cute! The only complaint is the difficulty in the buckle, We used them in Florida and wanted to take them on and off at the pool/beach and it was a hassle. Other than that, they are well made and hold up well.

I really love these sandals, as does my almost 3 yr old. The only negative is that they are hard to buckle. So these are the only shoes she cannot put on herself and even I struggle with buckling every time, but it does seem to be getting easier with more use. They look great and seem to be well made.

We always buy a white sandals to go with everything and bought this one based on reviews and because it looks sturdy. It apparently has a bit of a break in period as the leather is stiff and hurt my daughters feet at first. She also struggled learning to use buckles...her other sandals were velcro or slip on. It's a cute sandal and seems durable but could use a shorter toe. It's not a perfect design but it will work for us for the season.

This was my first time buying this brand of shoes for my kids. So far so good...they seem well made and look very cute with dresses or play clothes. I printed the size chart and it was not accurate, but thankfully Zappos offers free shipping both ways so I was able to order the correct size.

My daughter likes these sandals, and found them comfortable and easy to walk in. They are cute on (though nothing special per se), but I wish they had more arch support.

If your kiddo has even kind of chubby feet, don’t buy these. They were so narrow that my daughters toes couldn’t even make there way under the front straps. I’m exchanging for the pair with the buckle in the front and back in the hopes that they fit better.

Cute but runs really big, they were way too long a the toe. You probably need at least a full size smaller than you normally order for your child.

Had to return these because the area for the toe was too small for my daughter. Going to stick to the classics and the sweetheart sandal. Those are always comfortable and fit perfectly because of the buckles in the front and the ability to adjust as needed.

I bought these in red for my niece who just turned three. Unfortunately, the ankle straps are way too short. I think the length of the sandal was perfect as we ordered her a six like she usually wears. However, the ankle strap is tight on the last hole and there isn't any way to make it work. It's a very short strap with little room for adjustment. My niece is small for her age, but these sandals are also a bit too narrow on her and I don't know if the straps will stretch out around her toes. She grimaced when we put them on her due to the scrunched toes. I hope all of the sandals aren't catered towards kids with skinny ankles. I will try the size 7, but I"m concerned that the shoe will be too long. So sad they didn't work. Please make your straps longer to accommodate all ankle sizes.

I had high hopes for this shoe and for chubby little baby feet, it doesn't fit very well. She wears a size 5 in her Converse and Nikes but she can get her feet in these and complains the whole time I'm trying to get them on. Oh well. Sizing up would just make them longer...it's the width that's the problem and there wasn't any give. Also the base was incredibly solid and thick...no give when walking either.

This is not the first time I've ordered shoes from Hoy Shoes, but is the first time I've been disappointed by the fit. I purchased these shoes for my 4year old daughter, who my no means has wide feet. The shoe fits everywhere you would expect a sandal to fit a foot, except the top where the toes are to slide and peep through. We had to wiggle, struggle and push to get her feet all the way through and I could tell that they were still very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, these will be exchanged for another cut of sandal. I will try again with Hoy Brand.

Very cute shoes but unfortunately didn't fit my daughter well. The toe box was too narrow and hurt her feet when she wore them. She's worn them once and I have a feeling that's all she will wear them.

I have been buying Saltwater's for years. They hold up to just about anything. Loved this design. This style, however, will not have the same lasting power. My daughter has worn these maybe twice and around the toe area they have started to fray. Cute sandal, not the same quality as the original.

I grew up wearing Salt Water sandals so when my little guy started walking I got him a pair. I still like the style, but the problem we had with his shoes is they only lasted a month or so before the sole starting cracking right at the balls of the feet. My wife also was not a big fan of the little buckle latch and, after the sole started cracking, tossed these and bought a different brand of sandals that use a Velcro latch. We have been using those ever since.

The width of these was so narrow that my 5 year old (wide foot) could hardly get her foot in them. They absolutely would not work and we had to send them back. The length appeared to be ok...

They are cute and I assume comfortable since my 2 year old wants to wear them everyday. However after just a few wears the edge where the white leather bottom meets the off white rubber sole started to fray. Now all around the edge looks fussy with little strings which makes them look old and dirty.

Based on reviews, I bought my toddler a 5 in these, as she wears a 5.5. The length was good, if anything it was just a tad long for her. The width, however, was absolutely ridiculous for a toddler shoe! It would be impossible to cram her foot into it. The length of the next size up wouldn't work, and I doubt the width would increase by the full inch and a half needed for comfort. Not a brand for toddlers who still have baby-shaped feet.

I ordered toddler 9 size and brown and really liked the material, color, and design. unfortunately, these are narrow for my little one, so I decided to return. If your kid had wide feet, it won't fit well.

Good to know: A size 4 Infant is the same as a size 5 Toddler. The only difference is the toddler size is on a wider sole. However, the straps are set within the sole enough to make it just as narrow as the infant size. I know this because I ended up ordering 3 different sizes in order to get the right one for my daughter. I was able to compare them. Otherwise, once you get the right size, these are great sandals. They are very well made, nice thick soft leather, and seem sturdy on a toddler. Also, they are pretty much the cutest sandals in the world. I got the white and they are absolutely beautiful. She gets them dirty and they wipe clean well. They go with every outfit and looks so fresh and summery. Love them. These are the sandals I'll always return to each Summer. Just gotta figure out the size.
