Recently, at the shoe store, our daughter measured a 12.5, so I ordered these sandals in a 13 to be safe. They were too big, so I called Zappos for an exchange; the 12's arrived the next day! Sadly, they seemed too big also, so I called for a pair of 11's; these are just right now. Our daughter loves them (I do too!), once we got the right size she was able to wear them with socks comfortably right away. We're keeping the 12's too, because she might be ready for those before the summer's out, we love them that much! Zappos made this a painless shopping trip!

Please note- Salt Water Sandals ALWAYS run big. Buy at least a size smaller than you think you need to. For example- if you usually wear a size 9, buy a 8. They will also stretch the first time you wear them in water.

Great sandals! I bought these sandals in hot pink for my 4 year old... she has not stopped wearing them ever since! She wears them every day and they still look new. The quality of these shoes are really good and they look great, too. Great buy. I will buy them next summer for both my girls, for sure.

We love these sandals - My discriminating four year old loves these shoes. They are pretty enough for her and offer enough practicality for mama. I love the simple, somewhat retro style. The leather is soft and supple...even the shiny pink patent! And the patent leather doesn't seem to show dirt at all. They still look brand new. My only complaint is that she can't buckle them herself yet. But at the same time I think the "real" buckle (not Velcro) has a more secure fit. My daughter is technically a size 10 but we ordered a 9 because she was still wearing last year's 8 (which were just a bit too small). I think the sizing will really depend on your child's foot. The 9 is a bit short in the heel but longer in the toe on my daughter but we are happy with it overall. I think the 10 would have been too big.

Best Kid Sandals Around - We've been buying these sandals for years. They go with everything and hold up through the entire summer!

Salt Water Sandals - We love Salt Water sandals! My girls get them every summer and they are so durable, but also very sweet. They usually last through 3 kids.

The Best! These are the best sandals! Soft leather easily breaks in. They come in great colors. My daughter had red last year and this year we tried fuchsia patent leather. I get asked constantly "Where did we find those cute sandals??" I just wish they made them in grown up sizes.

Salt Water Sandals - I purchased these sandals for my granddaughter and couldn't be happier with them. They are so cute and she loves to wear them. They hold up good through the entire summer season and many wearings. And because they are available in so many colors and patterns I can coordinate her entire wardrobe. They are a very good value for the price.

Excellent Shoe - I have bought four pairs of these this summer for my granddaughters. They fit perfectly and they never go out of style. My daughters just loved them.

New Jersey sand lover - My daughter loves these. And she is very, very fussy about her shoes. So glad I found these.

Family Tradition - I used to wear these as a kid (I'm 30), I bought them for my nephew ever year until he was 10, and my daughter has worn these every year so far. We love them! I still have a blue pair from when I was in high school that wear very nicely with jeans or shorts. :) We get the white ones for my daughter so she can wear them with all her dresses/skirts, shorts and even jeans. She loves them and lives in them even more whenever we visit the beach. I grew up in Seattle and we always went to Fred Meyer to buy these. Now that I've been in Southern California for five years I've had to hunt these down. Stride Rite will have them...sometimes, but once I discovered them on Zappos I've never shopped for them elsewhere, especially with all the choices available (and the awesome customer service we know and love). A helpful hint: When you receive the sandals, before wearing outside, have your child take a bath with them on. This will form the sandal to your child's feet and they will be like second skin and there'll be no delay or stretching in.

Love these - We love Salt Water Sandals. They take the abuse and still look cute. Get them dirty and wipe them off and they still look great. We have always gotten Navy or Tan, tried the red this year.

Love these sandals for my daughter... This is the third year in a row that I have purchased this shoe and will do it again next year. They are durable, comfortable and so cute. Each summer my little girl can wear the previous years in the beginning of the summer and by the middle of summer I order a larger pair. They seem to run a little big. They are GREAT!

Summer Sandal that Pleases Everyone - Salt Water Sandals are a BIG HIT. My daughter likes them because they are pretty and comfortable, parents think they are attractive and practical, her summer camp counselors accept them as safe and sturdy. They go from beach to ocean to backyard and even church with very little maintenance.

Salt Water sandals are truly a classic. They can be worn dressed up or dressed down with jeans and my daughter feels very comfortable in them. I had originally bought a used pair of the rosebud floral on EBay and liked them so much that I bought the bigger size brand new on Zappos. Service by Zappos was very professional as usual.

A great Buy! This shoe is outstanding for any age! I buy this type of shoe for my daughter every year and she loves them. They are a little stiff at first but with wear and tear they eventually form with the foot.

Great for Kids - I think these are the best shoes for kids! They wear well, the kids can do the clasp and best of all they can get wet without being slippery.
