Cool Shoe -
Hard to find shoe, great look. Not too much support for long trekking, but love the retro look.

Onitsuka Tiger by Asic's Mexico 66 -
I'm still getting used to the tab. Also, the sole is very thin so I suggest you wear them with an insole arch support. Otherwise, your feet hurt if you were them all day. Great looking shoe though.

Super light and comfy until you have repeated toe bends and then the toebox breaks in weird spot hitting the top of my big toe causing mild pain.

Overall I'm iffy with these. The birch/Indian ink/latte colorway is definitely more brownish than the pictures imply. I'm not sure if it's actually the color of a latte, but it's definitely more latte than milk-white.
The leather tab on the back always pops up rather than sits "down" and flush with the back of the sneaker. I'm not sure if more wear will soften the leather and make it more floppy..but we'll see. It will bother me more come summer when I'm wearing shorts again.
I think it runs about 1/2 size large which is not how my other Onitsukas (Ultimate 81) fit. It's not a deal breaker but I think the arch may fit a bit better if I sized down. That said, overall the shoe is comfortable and I have no problem wearing them all day.

I bought these for my brother for Christmas. They look awesome but I guess this particular brand of Asics are for those with very high arches. He tried them on and said they were pretty uncomfortable. He has other Asics similar to this but not the Mexico 66, and he loves them! My brother doesn't have flat feet but his arches aren't super high either. These are probably really great shoes for those with the right foot type.

I have liked Mexico 66 since its early days. My first pair is from over 10 years ago and I still have them. I have been through several pairs and I decided to get a new pair recently. These Mexico 66s are a bit different than their standard model. First, they look great in back and tan and shiny leather. The upper is made entirely of leather, but they don't have interior padding inside, so that they actually feel a bit bigger than sized. I liked the past Mexico 66 because of their snugness, pliability and great fit, especially around toes. These are for some reason slightly different than standards and don't fit very well unless you wear some thicker socks. The leather is also stiffer so it appears that they will require some breaking-in before they fit better. I have to say that I am a bit disappointed especially given the premium price they command.

The perfect shoe with one fatal flaw... Asics for some bizarre reason added a Tiger tag on the heel of the sneaker. It flaps up so you are not sure if it is supposed to go inside the shoe to act as a cushion or on the outside to show their brand. It basically rubs against your heel and could easily cause blistering. If Asics removed this tag, they would be comfortable but because of this simple annoyance, I would not recommend them.

I am not sure how to begin this review as I really, really liked the shoes but am not keeping them. The shoes looked great and were a great fit for my feet (which can be hard since I have wide feet). However, the leather from the tongue rubbed against the inside leather of the shoe and it squeaked. This may have stopped with time or a special product but I did not want to take the chance that they would keep squeaking. I did not see other reviews that said this, so perhaps I just got some abnormally squeaky shoes. Other than that, I really liked them!

I purchased these shoes because they were recommended as the closest thing to Puma H-Streets which aren't made anymore. While they are lightweight and the mesh allows air to flow through, they aren't quite the same. I've had to put inserts in because the soles are not comfortable when wearing barefoot or with thin socks.

The 2015 model is made from flimsier materials as the previous models. This is my fourth pair of this exact make of shoe - this most recent version has a redesigned tread and the leather also feels thinner. Just out of curiosity, I weighed my old pair, which have virtually no tread left, and the new ones. The new shoes are 10 percent lighter. I can see this being a normal change in the case of synthetic-material running shoes, but these are leather and a lighter shoe indicates a thinner (and probably more wear-prone) leather.

Comfortable/cute except for the odd tab on the heel - the leather flap on the heel does not stay down and flaps up. It is irritating. And because it is sewn in to the inside of the heel, there is no way to just remove it without ruining the inside of the shoe. I just don't get why this tab was designed this way. Plus, it causes my sock to slide down into my shoe, which really bugs me. If not for this heel tab, the shoe would be just fine.

This is a really cool shoe to have if you're looking for something a little "retro". I normally wear these shoes when I'm going out for errands or to a get-together with friends. DO NOT wear these shoes for running, since it has zero support and comfort for that sort of thing. All and all, I would get this shoe primarily for the style.

Purchased my first pair of OT in white/emerald 12.5. Shoes look great and were what I expected as far as thin soles without much cushion. I normally wear 12 to 13 medium width depending on the brand. These are the narrowest shoes I've ever purchased...to the point of putting lots of pressure on my left big toe nail. As a means of comparison, I bought a pair of similarly minimal soled Merrill True Glove in a size 12 from a local shoe store last week and they fit perfect. The Merrill TG are 1/2 inch longer than the Mexico 66. I'm surprised to see 80% of reviewers described these shoes as true to size...they are not!

These are great kick around town shoes. They are stylish and fun to wear, but have zero support and little cushioning. I have not tried putting in an insert yet, but I notice my feet don't feel great after wearing for a while on hard surfaces like a street.

Cute retro shoe, but it's a sock-eater! Only wearable (at least in my humble opinion) with socks with the least tendency to sag or creep into the shoe. That factor alone will prevent me from buying other colors of this style, which is a shame.

Onitsuka's are super cool. However, they aren't that comfy for people like me. I have kind of wide feet and usually wear a size 12. These 12s are longer than my feet and not quite wide enough AND they are difficult to slip on like my other shoes. I like leaving my shoes tied and slipping them on and off, this usually works out, but these were a bit to rigid...

I was slightly disappointed by how flimsy these Asics felt, especially compared to their other styles. It was also not apparent from the pictures that the black flap in the back that says "Tiger" is not sewn down. That caused it to flop around and was uncomfortable on my heel; ultimately why I returned this product.

I love the style and colors of these shoes, so much so that they're the only shoes I've ever purchased twice. There seems to be a quality issue, however. The pairs only lasted me 8 and 5 months, respectively. The soles on the first pair wore out and holes in the leather formed. The soles on the second pair also wore out. These shoes look great, but they aren't a great choice if you do a lot of walking.

I'm a skinny guy with large feet which is probably the main reason I continue to buy these shoes. Namely, they don't look ridiculously big when I wear shorts. I believe this is because there's not much in the way of padding, which could be a good thing or bad, depending on your tastes. I think they run a little large, size-wise. I typically wear size 12.5 to 13 but in these I wear size 12. While I really like these shoes, they're not without their flaws. I currently own 4 pairs of these -- which is both indicative of the fact that I like them and that they're not perfect. I wish the rubber on the soles were more durable. The gripping on bottom wears out pretty fast if you use these often. Not a big deal in summer weather, but don't try walking on snow or ice once this happens. Also, the price is a bit steep, but I'll continue to pay it.

I do not know my materials very well, but I loved how it looked. When I saw this shoe, I said, "I have to get it." After I ordered it, I realized it had little lines like corduroy pants, but in black. As I walked in them I did not like them. I was honestly disappointed. I thought they would be all suede black. I thought the shoe would have no line design. I was expecting solid black. However, I kept them because I loved the blue with black. As long as nobody looks at them too close they will not notice the corduroy lines, lol. And, I also kept them because I needed some black shoes and waiting again for shoes to come was not going to happen.

Not what I thought it was. It is more like a sprinter's shoe. I still can not decide if I am keeping it. I value my wife's opion and a got a shrug of the shoulders. No doubt better on a small foot rather then a 13.

I really wanted to keep these sweet kicks, but they were way too narrow. I have moderately wide feet (Nike's and Adidas are too narrow) and these Asics were too narrow.

Not for me, and I had to return them. Love the style, but they were painful from the minute I put them on. Sole doesn't seem stable -- this may be the style, but my ankles were aching just walking around my house. I kept the Ultimate 81s that I also purchased -- totally different fit, though they don't look as cool as these. Nothing wrong with the shoe itself -- I think it's just not for everyone.

Was intrigued by the design and style, and hoped it would be a walking/running shoe as well. Turned out they were too tight and narrow for me. I hardly wear them.
