Your tootsies won't growl in these baby's!
Onitsuka Tiger has done it again. The Mexico 66's are extremely comfortable, lightweight, and make me feel like I'm walking on air. Ok, the real reason these are so great? THEY ARE ONE COOL PAIR OF SHOES! Just kidding. About that being the real reason. Their cool look just adds to their appeal. This is the third Onitsuka model I have purchased. They are all first rate.
I'd also recommend:

Cool retro shoes, but here are some things to consider: I have worn 10 1/2 in Asics forever. With these it is size 10, and they are still an inch long in the toe. These are long and narrow, low profile, track shoes with the spikes removed, and replaced with a cheap sole. Unless you have a big, fat foot, size down. Casual use only.

This is regarding the Mexico 66s, I say this because it looks like all the Tigers get limped together.
The good:
-They look downright amazing. I am not a cool dude and they make me look like I know what I'm doing (I have little-to-no idea what I'm doing).
-Fairly comfortable. Not amazing, but I don't recall ever regretting wearing them.
The Bad:
-The arch hump is kinda weird... feels kinda like you're standing on a pipe. Not a major issue though, just not something I consider a 'good'.
-Not the easiest shoes to clean or keep clean.
-Sole material started separating from heel cup area after very low mileage.
The Ugly:
-The soles... lets say that, while the style from '66-'68 still is great, the material tech is GARBAGE. Seriously. Its like flat pad of little spikes made of a dense foam material. These of course grind/wear off through normal walking before you even hit double digits on your mileage, and this not an exaggeration if you look at the ball or heel or big toe areas. After the little foam teeth are gone, its just a flat, slick pad. These are 100% downright dangerous at that point if there is ANY water on a non-textured surface. Tile, smooth concrete (like a hangar or garage floor), stone... I had to give up on these because I about broke an ankle or busted my butt even thinking I was safe on dry days because you eventually run into a surprise puddle or something. I can't stress enough how terrible* the soles are for casual wear.
*I think these were made for olympic weight lifting? If you used them as in-gym ONLY shoes, they'd be perfectly fine. You aren't walking miles and miles on rough cement or concrete in a gym, so I guess theres no problem in that sense. But no one is buying these shoes for that purpose.

LOVE these shoes. Probably the only shoe that has less arch support are Converse, but I didn't buy them to run in. Great style, and an absolute classic.

Best world traveller shoe. No arch support. Great for bare feet, if you actually wash your feet. There is no better shoe...when you get a good pair. Large number manufactured leaves a lot of space for irregularities. I've had 2 great pairs and 1 awkward set. Still a great shoe.

Very comfortable and stylish shoes. Will probably stretch about half a size after some wear. The 'tag' flips up in the back some, which kind of bothered me at first but I got used to it, you can also stuff it in the heel of the shoe if you like.
All said and done, I'll always have a pair in my rotation.

Looks great, but there's zero support. I'd recommend wearing a half-size up so you can put some good inserts in; otherwise it will feel like you're just walking barefoot.

I bought these for Tai Chi. I have a very narrow foot and need tie shoes rather than the usual slip-ons. The "floor feel" of these, as opposed to athletic shoes for walking is immediately apparent. The toe area is a little too wide for me, so I need to wear thicker socks than usual. These came within two days.

These are really light and comfortable. I bought them as an everyday shoe and they've become my go-to shoe. They do have some arch support, which is a requirement for me. Also, I think they're cute. I wear women's size 6, bought size 6 (or, more accurately, I bought men's size 4 1/2), and they fit perfectly. Great purchase!

Great vintage style! Leather is super soft, really comfortable shoes. They are unisex - I usually wear a 7½ and my husband got me a 6 that fits really well. The one thing that prevents me from giving this fives is this little blue flap thing at the heel - it is not sewn down so tends to flip up - that is kind of weird. It seems like it should either not be there, or be sewn so it does not move. But that is not a deal-breaker for me.

These sneakers are very light and comfy. I wear them with no-show socks and I haven't had any blisters, which is a common problem for me with other shoes. They look cute and stylish, especially with rolled up boyfriend jeans and a chic blazer. My only complaint is that the tab on the back keeps sticking out instead of neatly folding over the back of the shoe. I tried to fix the issue by using clothes pins at night to keep the tabs down, but they stick right out when I take the pins off. I will need to glue them, which worries me because I don't know what type of glue I should use on leather.

Like many other commenters note, these shoes don't have a whole lot to them. The soles are thin and they're overall very light. They feel good, mostly.
I wear orthotics, and they make it a bit weird to wear the Mexicos, as I feel like my heels are going to pop out of the back. They don't, but there is more wear on the shoes because of it.
There is a nice built-in arch, so I can wear these without inserts for a while as well.
I can see some glue beaded around the sole at the bottom. A bit shoddy, but it takes inspection to find it. Otherwise, they look great! I'd recommend these for sure.

I rate these shoes a 4/5. At first they felt fairly comfortable. The sole is soft the shoe holds the foot well. But after a day of wear, I noticed some irritation on the sides of my feet. I figured out that the stitching for the grey stripes is on the inside as well and was rubbing up against the side of my feet. As it stretches, I hope the problem fades.

Definitely a light and flexible shoe. I've had a pair of tigers previously and didn't think much how this will wear when I ordered it. It's slim and feels like slippers. I like that light feeling on a summer day.
The entire show body is mesh and it's a very dark black color; you can't even see the tiger brand stripes outside. The flaps on the outside stick up on the initial wear. With only a couple minor dislikes but overall I will be wearing them often.

Owned multiple Tigers in various styles over the years. This is the first pair that didn't feel true to size. Felt a tad tight in length and width.

I am looking for a lightweight, but supportive athletic type shoe that I can wear when I travel. These have minimal arch support, but I would have kept them because they are very stylish and I like the black mesh. However, I am returning because the inside laces/grommets rub on the top of my toes and I'm pretty sure I'd have blisters in no time. Too bad.

Overall a great shoe. Goes with pretty much everything- jeans, shorts, whatever! The only disadvantage is how quickly they get dirty.

These are good looking shoes that are a little big compared to new balance or Saucony. The arch support is really high! I took it out, which involved tearing the foam because it was glued in. They feel much better now.

I am not sure I would run a marathon in these, but they are super comfortable for walking. Better arch support than I expected and they look great with jeans, dress pants and skirts!

Zappos has the best service every time I order. I needed three different pairs before I found the right fit but Zappos overnighted each pair without charging my account again. I recommend Zappos to everyone that shops online. Great customer service representatives too.

As of March 2014, women's sizes are mismarked and are a full size larger than they should be. I wear a women's size 8, which is what I ordered. When it arrived, it was far too large and was marked as European size 39.5. A 39.5 is a U.S. women's size 9 according to Zappos's own size conversion chart. I sent them back and got a "7.5." It is a Euro size 39 (U.S. 8.5), and still a half size too big for my true-size-8 feet.
I'll be sending them back for a "7," which will hopefully be Euro 38.5 (correct size 8).

I ordered the Navy/Birch model and it looked different than it does in the pictures. It actually looks more grayish. The fit is perfect, but I just expected them to look like they do in the photos. Great shoes overall.
