The shoe is nice...width is wider for comfort and shoes stretch to fit within a day or two. The drawback is that there is no lining on the leather that in turn discolors socks (or bare feet. Yes, I know these are usually worn without socks).

I bought these shoes a few years after abandoning my Sperry Billfish mocs with a padded heel. The image made it appear as though the heel would be padded, which it was not. However, after a week of duct-taping heels to break them in, the bare leather felt supple and comfortable. This is the fastest break-in of a leather heel I've ever encountered. Well made and comfortable, I'm contemplating buying another pair in a darker color.

As soon as the heel end of the shoe loosens up they will be great, but for now they are rubbing a blister on my heel.
Nice looking -look very sturdy. Not as comfortable as my Topsiders (yet), but a better and more supportive sole.

Picked this style because the sole offers more support than some models, and the outside can be polished.
Hoping they last several years, since Sperry is more pricey than other options.
Replaced a competitor brand shoe that wore out too soon, due to the inner fabric liner. These have leather for inner liner around the heal.

I am a casual guy (and quite picky) about my shoes. For 8 months out of the year I wear no socks with my shoes. I find the Mako comfortable, easy to maintain and stylish, at home in a variety of circumstances. My only complaint is that part of the footbed became loose after several wearings. A dab of Barge's glue took care of that and I'm off being casual again.

The shoe fits and looks good. It seems to be lacking some of the quality that I was used to in Sperry products. There is very little padding between the ball of your foot and the sole of the shoe. It gives me the feeling that I am almost walking bare foot. I was very disappointed to find made in China stamped in the shoe.

Prefer this shoe over the A/O. Better fit, more comfortable, better support with an improved sole.

great shoe except for the insole liner. Too bad what peels and curls up also lines the bottom of your sole. I have called and complained when I bought my first pair as it did the same thing three years ago. This will be the last time, too bad

The only reason that I did not give a higher rating on quality is that quality is rated over time. Shoe fits great and looks nice. Quality will be determined over time when I see how the shoe holds up.

This is a very fine shoe with great looks and function. On one shoe the rivets haven't stuck in as they should and i have lost 4 of 8 though the other shoe is fine. These shoes excel with a hackeysack their flat toe and sides allow for excellent control and with the toe ridge stalls are easy to pull off.

Just dressy enought to get by in a somewhat casual office. Comfortable from the first wearing. My old pair had a little more flair, but these are fine.

These are awesome with one exception. As others have noted, the stain on the leather does indeed come off on your socks. This isn't a huge deal to me, but might be to you if you spend a lot of time in your socks in public.

I bought this style knowing I wanted something a little less casual than the standard Sperry, I was not let down.
Sadly I WAS let down yet again by the poor design of the insoles that Sperry provides. I have worn this pair three days and can already feel the seam on the insole separate when I take the shoe off. I bought a secondary insole for my previous pair due to this same poor construction. I hope the people at Sperry read this and consider changing their insole design.

The only negative issue I had was that the dye used rubbed off on socks. It is a lot better now, although it still happens. The initial wearings would result in tan socks with dark red stains all over the foot area.

This is a good casual shoe and boat shoe. One of my Sperry favorites. Sizing has been perfect so far and shipping has been quick. No complaints.

Great shoe and well built but as with true boot shoes short on cushion in the feet. Also they run large and narrow. I am normally a 7 1/2 medium but I needed a 7 wide to find a comfortable fit.

Only one problem with these is that if you have a leather shoe lace break, there is no way to replace it. Would like to see the actual shoe leather and the trim along the side separated. That way if if it breaks you don't have to send it to a shoe repair shop and have them sew doown the side trim leather (and just replace the laces. The shoes definitely out live the laces.

I have really narrow feet and would have preferred a B width, but this style only came in S for narrow. It wasn't quite narrow enough, so it slops around on my foot somewhat. Like the shoe and the quality.

If you need wide top siders these are the ones for you. They were quite wide on my feet.

I purchased the Mako 2-Eye Canoe Moc in Deep Taupe mainly because of the style and the two tone Dark on Light Brown. The site portrays everything correct except the Lighter Brown, which is the majority of the shoe, is lighter in person. I almost thought I received the wrong shoe, but the item numbers match up, leading me to the conclusion that the image on the site of the lighter color brown isn't true to life. Just be aware that the shoe will be lighter color in person.

Fits snug on my monsterous foot. 4E (extra wide) would be nice since you appeal to the slim foot crowd. And it fits me 1 1/2 sizes small I wear 10.5's normally.

I have worn the Mako Oak for a few years now and they have survived many races. I did order the Mako in coffee and was slightly disappointed in the color (returned). However I will be ordering another pair in the Oak or Amaretto. I have been wearing Top-Siders for many years and wouldn't even consider buying any other brand.

Well made with attention to detail, I took them right out of the box and wore them all day with a lot of walking and suffered no "break in" woes. One minor discordant note, a long day without socks equals orange feet.

I prefer a shoe with a look that does not advertise itself, and this shoe meets that where most don\'t. It is a well-made shoe, offered at a reasonable price. My only concern with the shoe is the slightly rough interior, which is requiring some breaking in before it will achieve the level of comfort common to a moccasin-type shoe typically worn without socks. I\'ve owned several pairs of similar shoes of this brand (and others), none of which required this break-in period. This is not a reason to avoid this model, it is merely that setting your expectation will avoid you being annoyed if your experience matches mine.
