Worn this same model forever, the reason is the inside “liner” around the top of the shoe. It keeps the shoe on your foot.
Also ordering, shipping & delivery has never been a problem with Zappos.

These are great shoes that last a long time. My husband has had a pair for so long that we had to buy new leather laces! The amaretto color looks great with a lot. So durable and comfortable

I am a regular Sperry customer and love these shoes. They are comfortable and stylish, and generally hold up well over time. However, I have consistently had issues with the stitching coming undone on the left side of the left shoe (see attached image). This has happened for the past 2 of 3 pairs of Mako boat shoes I have purchased, which is concerning.

I like the looks and style, just as advertised. The fit is fine, except the left "moc" rubs on the outside of my left ankle. I was almost going to return them, but decided that maybe after "break-in" this would not be a problem. Here's hoping!

This was my second pair of Makos. As with the first the uppers lasted really well. They look almost brand new. The soles are a problem. The heels wore down quickly and they pulled apart form the uppers.

Returning because the sewn in heel support/pad is uncomfortable.

Fit is somewhat loose but comfortable right out of the box. One lace was much shorter than the other. Emailed Sperry and they responded immediately with an offer to send replacements.

I have I have had two pairs of this shoe and it has been satisfactory to a point. Long before the upper wEars out, the soLe splits and the shoe leaks whenever it sees water. An upgrade To a more durable sole is needed.

I got them as a gift for the husband with the widest foot ever - we can only find suitable shoes on Zappos. He is happy with these mocs. I wish other companies would provide decent-looking shoes and why look like you're wearing the box when it would be so nice to look like you actually care about your footwear! just saying... but thanks zappos for your wonderful service and ATTITUDE!

I was gifted a pair of Sperries the month before my parents shipped me off to boarding school. Don't know exactly what the make was called back then.
I wore those shoes every summer for ten years. They never failed me once. Finally, after a literal decade of love and care, the interior became too worn to make it another year.
They were perfect - and I wanted to replace them with the exact same pair. The Mako 2-eye Canoe Moc is almost almost identical. Perfect successor, and I look forward to another ten years with these bad boys.

The thick sole of this shoe last a long time and make the shoe wear well. I love the color. I purchased it for a male in the family and they came in, he was in the room and wanted them then. Early Holiday Gift! Great product and great price!

Love the look of this shoe, and the quality construction. My disappointment is that the sides of the shoe rise a bit too high, and rub against my ankle bone. I'm getting used to it, but thicker socks do help.

To help preserve my arches, I was looking for a boat shoe that had a bit more cushioning at the ball of the foot. Most boat shoes are pretty thin up there. I got these because of the dual-density midsole and it was the right choice. To fit my feet I was also looking for a narrower width which these have. The toe design is meant for a medium width and appears a little boxy in the narrow width but it's alright. I read the other reviews of the dye coming off on socks but that hasn't happened with my pair. They are a bit stiff but assume they will break in. All in all a good shoe with classic design.

As previously stated the on line picture is misleading and doesn't show light colored front tongue and heel .You can not put inserts into this shoe as the front half is built in while back half glued.
