Quality speaks for itself - I bought the black polished calf Walden. The first thing I noticed was the slightly snug fit in my regular size. Just right to break it in properly. This shoe reeks of quality. The one piece leather lined insole is a touch-of-class. If I had to have only one pair of shoes, these would be it...Plus, Zappos is the greatest, as usual.

Am a big fan of Allen Edmonds and have owned many over the years. This shoe, for whatever reason, hits the right side of my ankle and it is a pain to wear them. Totally unlike the same Walden's I have owned over the years. so I returned the first pair for and now the second pair is the same way. Strange but its not a problem with the burgandy version.

Watch out! The fit is narrow and they do not stretch much. I have worn 9Ds for years. I bought these in a 9D. I have worn them on and off for about a year. They are still very painful. They have not stretched out enough to become comfortable. I suppose I could have sent them back when I first got them, but I thought the width was correct and that they would eventually stretch-out for me. That has not happened. The length is OK. I am disappointed.

I had been eyeing the Waldens for quite some time. I decided to bite the bullet and give them a try. They are fantastic looking and deep burgundy, very handsome shoes. They feel narrow, even for a D they felt narrow. I am going to try them in an E or even a EEE but sadly Zappos doesn't carry them in anything wider than D at this time.

A great shoes. I have a narrow foot and long toes, and my usual 10-B cramped the toes and was tight in the heel. Another half size up solved the problem.

It's almost impossible to find this size shoe (for my son). Please keep making/stocking this size.

The shoes fit perfect and were exactly as ordered relative to color and style. I placed the order and received the shoes within days. Great job Zappos and Allen-Edmonds. However, in the past Allen-Edmonds would provide a shoe horn with the shoes and they no longer appear to provide this. I suggest that this be included with the shoes. Thanks.

Fantastic shoe. Takes a few wearings for them to break in but after that fantastic. Shoe will stretch a little but the size is fairly accurate. Zappos did a great job getting it to me.

I love this shoe! It was comfortable from the first step. From past experience, I know it will last a lifetime! And, with Zappos' excellent service, I'm a very happy camper!

As with every pair of Allen Edmonds shoes I have purchased, the Walden is excellent overall. The attention to detial is exceptional, as is the overall quality of the shoe. As with most leather soled shoes, they take a little break in, but the comfort level is still OK. Highly recommended!

Only first day with this pair, but I have owned many Allen-Edmonds in the past and all have worn well. It is not easy to find AAA width and quality at the same time. Great shoe.

Walden - Great craftsmanship. Burgundy color was so dark it was almost black, but that's probably best as shoes start to break in and lighten up.

Comfy - My feet got a bit larger as I grew older. It's not easy to find an attractive shoe in a larger size that is truly comfortable. I love this shoe and I love Zappos... great service.

Men’s shoes, too - The Walden is a classic. Zappos service is 5 Stars, too.

Very comfortable fit and very good looks - We have always had to buy Allen-Edmonds or another brand because of our narrow width. These Allen-Edmonds fit very well right out of the box and are very comfortable. As other styles become available we will look at this brand very closely.

Five Stars of "Class"! I buy all of my husband's shoes & clothes and Allen Edmonds shoes cost a lot to be sure. My husband has these Classic American penny loafers in both burgundy & black; the look and workmanship is awesome, and my husband tells me they are ALWAYS comfortable and easy to fit straight out of the box. They will wear 10 times longer than cheaper penny loafers too, making them well worth the price! Plus, like most Allen Edmonds styles, they are "made in America" (that keeps a lot of jobs in this country)! We only wish Zappos would carry more of the Allen Edmonds line...

Quest for Narrow Sizes - I have a hard time locating narrow width (11-1/2 A) quality shoes or any A width mens shoes. These arrived promptly and fit.

Allen Edmonds is Awesome - These shoes are awesome. They arrived and instantly felt great when put on my feet. Virtually no break in period - they were comfortable instantly. A super shoe.

This shoe is a classic dress loafer especially if you're in need of a burgundy shoe. The shoe box was shrink wrapped! I love buying shoes that were never tried on or even touched by a customer. I'm very impressed with Zappos.
