Excellent Shoe! A classic, quality shoe.

Great Shoes- These are terrific shoes. Very well built and very comfortable. They look nice enough to wear with a suit or coat and tie, but without sacrificing comfort.

Excellent Loafer - As is usual with Allen-Edmonds shoes this one is brimming with quality. It looks good, feels good, and displays excellent workmanship.

Beautiful shoe - I had a hard time finding a fit - the 14Ds were tight around the instep and the 15Ds were loose around the heel. I went with the tight ones.

Quality products and excellent service - Allen Edmond shoes are expensive--at least for most of us middle-class folk. The shoes are superb--they fit--they last. I have a narrow foot and have difficulty finding my size, much less finding my size in a comfortable, stylish shoe. I have never been disappointed with Allen-Edmonds. I'll also put in a plug for Zappos. First, I received free shipping on the shoes. Second, I got the shoes 2 days after I ordered them. My other option would have been to travel for 20 to 30 minutes to a shoe store that MIGHT carry my size, and then make my choice from one or two shoe companies--most with 1 or 2 style offerings. Perhaps, some folks enjoy shopping. I would rather spend my time doing things I enjoy.

Classic look and great craftsmanship in this shoe. Size is a bit small. Not very deep. I am usually a D but had to stretch these out quite a bit to fit comfortably. After a few weeks they are broken in and I look forward to wearing for years to come!

Traditional style, well built, deep color, good quality leather and good looking shoe. A little stiff to start. I would buy this shoe again.

I have a very narrow foot. The width of this shoe feels like an AA even though it is listed as an AAA. I still like the shoe and can wear it with an inner sole.

Pretty Good - I like Allen Edmonds lace ups although I can barely keep track of which styles they have on a given year. These are great as far as a simpler dress shoe goes, although they definitely fit narrow.

The 9D in this style was very narrow. My son could not even get his foot in, so we ordered the wide. The wide was so wide that his foot swam in it. The leather was also very stiff which made the shoe look clunky.

Comfortable but take a long time to break in. Slightly tight in front of shoe for the toes on top. I'm hoping they will break in. Well made shoe, but expected more comfort for the price.

Too wide - The AAA actually had a heel width of a wide shoe.

Normally, I like Allen-Edmonds and I really like this style of shoe (regardless of the manufacturer). However, I am disappointed in this pair. It is extremely stiff and hard and difficult (painful) to "break-in" and the general comfort is lacking in a big way. I plan to try them out for another couple of weeks. If there is no improvement, I may have to give the Zappos return policy a try.

WALDEN SHOE NOT COMFORTABLE - My husband could not get his foot into this shoe...his arch would not slide under the top. They seemed much narrower than usual 3EEEs. Very stiff.

Have had a horrible time finding the size and style I needed. They were in stock and shipped quickly. Thanks to Zappos I am set!

These are great looking shoes. But, the first pair sent out to me squeaked (and not just kind of, it was borderline bird call). I sent them back in, and Zappos sent out another pair. This pair actually squeaked a little too after the first few wears, but it went away. Great looking shoe, comfortable, a nice change from dress shoe lace ups, but I will try these on at the store next time before buying (to prevent the hassle of coming home with squeakers).

This shoe was too small both in length and width. I have other A-E shoes that fit in the size I ordered.

If there is a "problem" with Allen Edmonds shoes is that they take some time to break in and good high quality leather uppers on a leather sole should indeed take some time to break in. I thought these shoes would be the death of me when I first bought them so I matched them up with socks when I wore them in the winter and after about six months, they are comically comfortable and I wear them 2-3 times per week.

True to size after you break them in (they are a little tight at first). But the extra effort to break them in is well worth it. Note that for some reason the black loafers are even harder to break in, but again the few extra days of effort is well worth it. These are the best penny loafers I've owned.

A good looking shoe. I got a AAA, a size I had found comfortable in other brands and it was too narrow for me.

When first worn the leather is very stiff. The shoes were actually too tight for me width-wise at first. Over the last few weeks, the leather has really softened up, and at the same time it has molded to the shape of my feet. Now they fit like a glove!

Extremely disappointed. Both the shoes had white-pinkish blotches on vamp straps--not sure how they passed Allen Edmonds quality inspection. Cannot be worn without the defects being noticed. Will return.

I gave this shoe several months, and despite trying my best to like it, I'm donating the pair to charity. The style is attractive, but the leather AE uses is more suited to saddles than shoes. It's hard as a brick and never breaks in, and the narrow runs a bit too narrow. Go with the Cole Haan Pinch Penny. It fits, is soft leather, and easy to break in. Plus, unlike me, you'll save money.
