Superb - These shoes are fantastic if you stand for prolonged periods (surgeons). They aren't the best shoes for walking as they are loose fitted and not flexible at the sole/forefoot.

These shoes are the best ever! I have tried a lot of Dansko styles, but nothing supports like the stapled clogs. They are just the best. I have neuropathy in my feet, and the Dansko’s keep my feet protected and well supported. My podiatrist told me that Dansko’s are the only shoes I can wear without my orthotic inserts. I wouldn’t consider wearing them barefoot. I use thin low cut socks in them, which protects my feet from rubbing. I have 3 pairs of these shoes, and I wear them every day to work. I wear them most of the time. I hardly ever even wear my New Balance tennis shoes any more! I also bought one of the Mary Jane looking stapled clogs, and they are great too. I just need to keep the strap loose enough so it doesn’t bother my feet. My daughter has tried them and loves them too. I would love a bit more variance in style (not too major or you lose the support of the stapled collection) and some more colors, such as ones that are good for warm weather.
I'd also recommend:

Dansko Shoes - Having been a studio photographer for many years working on concrete floors, and now a nurse on hospital floors; I have not found a more comfortable shoe for every day then these. It's hard to know when to buy new ones as they last so long and look good for so long...until you see a new pair. Quality is amazing, shoe after shoe.

Great Shoe for Professionals - This was my second pair of these shoes. I'm still wearing my first pair daily for the last 4 years. They hold up well. Just order new shoes AT LEAST a 1/2 size larger than you think, maybe a full size.

The Best - This is my third pair. I finally had to replace my original black oiled pair with a new pair. I also have the brown oiled. I wear them everyday. I stay at home with 2 young children and these are the best for chasing them around the house. I was skeptical the first time I wore them... thought they were clunky and not very masculine, but I threw that out the door when I began wearing them regularly. These are all I wear now. I get lots of compliments from both men and women while wearing them. Awesome shoes!

I have been getting sore feet because I am pregnant and needed some comfortable shoes that I could wear a lot. I bought these and had to return them for a larger size. I originally ordered 42, but I had to go to men’s 43, which fit great. I have such a hard time finding a size to fit because I have large feet. They are comfortable and my feet are not tired after the day.

I work in these shoes every day! I have worn these shoes since early in my residency years. They are incredibly comfortable, look professional, and last forever. They are worth every penny of the purchase price. I have worn some for more then two years. I keep a pair at each of my offices and all the hospital that I operate in. I recommend that you rotate wear as with all quality shoes to allow evaporation of foot perspiration between uses. Avoid the shinny leather - it can crack from repeated exposure to fluids.

This is my 3rd pair of professional cabrio. What is amazing is I ordered this on Thursday and got it the following day, yes, that fast! They upgraded it to overnight priority all on theirs without me asking for it. What a service! I will definitely use you again for my needs. Any thought of venturing into electronics? That will be a very good addition to your line of products. Thank you for your great service.

Amazing Support, Love This Shoe! After working in a clinical setting and being on my feet, my old shoes just weren't cutting it. I also wait tables and bartend on the weekends and have been doing it for the past 4 years. All the clinicians as well as waitstaff told me about Dansko and what a great shoe it was. Getting through a whole day of work and bartending or waiting tables was grueling, especially with early onset arthritis and having six surgeries on my lower back. These shoes are amazing, I cannot tell you enough. I went a half size bigger, was nervous about the room in the heel, but you get used to it. At the end of the day, the pain I WAS experiencing is now minimal and I am moving so much better it is just a godsend. I really love these shoes and just bought another pair in brown. I recommend these to anyone working on their feet all day or experiencing any pain. Fantastic shoe.

No Regrets! My husband wears these shoes for work. He is a medical professional and says they are the best shoes he has ever worn. They are a half size bigger than his norm (in black first and then a brown pair for variety) and he is extremely happy with the comfort. They are worn with scrubs for hospital work and with suits when he is in office. He did advise that they take a bit before breaking in, but one day they just "broke in" and felt great! Recommended!

Most comfort and support - I've worn mine about three-four days per week for almost two years and they still look new. I wear them to the office and have even worn them to court with a suit (I'm a lawyer). They look great. My back and foot pains disappear when I'm wearing these. The most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I'll never wear traditional dress shoes again. I love these, Birkenstocks and Clarks, but if I had to choose only one pair of shoes Dansko gets my vote.

Terrific shoe - Found these under the tree courtesy of my wife. I have to admit that I was thinking of sending them back to get something else (like running shoes). I even asked her if she had kept the invoice. I’m glad I didn’t return them. These are without question the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I didn’t have the issues that others have described with sizing. Seems the 10 (43) was spot on. Excellent gift! Props to Dansko.

Great for People with Wide Feet!!! I bought these after a friend highly recommended Dansko's to me. I was skeptical that they would fit in the width because I wear a Women's 11WW. So I bought a Men's 43 and they fit GREAT! They feel only very slightly snug on the little toe of my right foot but that's right out of the box. I am positive the leather will soften and they will be perfect once they break in. The arch support feels really great too!

Great shoe - In general, I find these Danskos can vary from shoe to shoe even in the same size. I am a USA 12 1/2 – 13, but take a EU 47 in the Dansko. Ordering online was a bit risky, but this pair turned out great!

I brought these for work, my tennis shoes were hurting my feet. I only wore them one day at work. My left heel felt hard, so I wear them for shorter trips, but not all day. I walk 11 miles a day at work and I am not sure how they will be for that. They are a good fit. I wear an 11, so I ordered the 45. The forefoot is a good fit, but overall the length is too long. The clog has a nice look to them.

THE shoe to work in - I'm a flat-footed professional working in scrubs all day. These shoes make my feet feel great and they look great. I have the Cordovans now, because the white ones I've been wearing the past two years are scuffed as hell, but still really comfortable! I only regret I can't order them in white anymore. What's up with that?

The Kitchen Shoe - I love these shoes - classic. I bought them a size up from my normal size and that’s the only way to go. Being a chef, I’m on my feet a lot and Danskos are amazingly durable and take a beating.

My husband loves them! I bought these for my husband who runs a grocery store - he is on his feet all day long!! I took the recommendation to buy them from some of the nurses and doctors I work with and now he says this is the most comfortable shoe he has ever worn. Although he usually wears these with khakis he is pleased with the way they look with jeans as well. The only "negative" thing he has had to say is that it took a little getting used to the heel height - but that is because he has always worn penny loafer type shoes (which are very flat!). Great shoe - worth the investment! Great service - I will use Zappos again!

Great shoes, helps back feel good - These shoes are amazing. They make long hours on your feet much better and realign your spine to reduce back strain. They are incredibly comfortable!

Perfect for restaurant workers - I work in a restaurant with a concrete floor. I was tired of feeling completely worn out after work. I ordered a pair of Danskos through a recommendation from the chef and I love these shoes. They have helped my posture, my legs and feet feel so much better. They take a while to break in, but it’s worth it. They are well made. I have a brown pair, I think they look good. The sizing is something I'm not use to, but it works. I have a pair of 43s, which is a 9/10. They are loose, but it’s supposedly the way they are supposed to fit. It’s fine, the looseness works.

Comfort plus - I spend sixty hours a week at work as a baker. Before these shoes, life was achy and exhausted. Now it's just exhausted. Get these shoes. You won't regret it.

SHOE SIZES ARE SMALLER THAN ADVERTISED - I was very excited about wearing the Danskos, but when I tried to get my foot into them they were too small. I could not get my feet in at all. I read the reviews others had written and some stated that their shoes were also too small. I'm leaving the ratings at 5 until I can rate my new pair. I'm moving up two sizes from men's 46 to men's 48.

Initial Thoughts - These shoes are comfortable and true, but they seem to be made primarily for standing and for walking second. It isn't that they're not comfortable for walking; it's just that they're not quite in the same league as dedicated, geeky white walking athletic shoes, due to the lack of cushion and lack of flex in the sole. I know this because I've just walked a mile and a half to work. It wasn't an uncomfortable walk, just a slower one than I'm used to when I used to wear my walking shoes. It seems like I'm the first non-medical profession person to buy this shoe for work. My wife has just started working in a hospital and was starting to have knee and foot issues from standing all day. We bought her a pair, and after seeing them on her and reading lots of reviews on them, I decided I had to have a pair too. I have a desk job. I sit on my butt at a computer most of the day. I wanted a shoe that looks sharp enough to go with business casual attire, was comfortable and could be just kicked off and slipped into at a moment's notice. It looks like I've found the right shoe. I'll add more later after they're broken in. Since the soles don't flex, what is there to break in? ;) We'll find out. What led us to these in the first place? My mom said her doctor recommended Earth shoes to her for her knee problems, but she also mentioned Dansko Pros, and said all the people in the hospital wear them. That, plus the glowing reviews here made up my mind for my wife. For me, I just had to see them on her. Since buying Crocs for both of us last year, we have rapidly become fans of high quality clogs. To have clogs that don't LOOK like clogs is a real bonus! I feel like I'm getting away with something at work, wearing them, hehehe. Most of the women seemed to consider the 2" heel a bonus, as they like to feel taller. My wife says it will make it easier for her to change IVs in the hospital, as it is sometimes hard to reach the top. As a man (I'm 5'8" tall) I don't really care. I'm already married, so impressing women with my manly height is not an issue. If you're a short guy and are self-conscious about it, this is another bonus. Personally, I feel kind of weird being an inch taller all of a sudden, but I think that feeling will pass. If you have a job where you need to walk fast, you better either plan on re-learning how to walk fast in clogs or go with something else. Again, it's not that they're slow, just that it takes a more effort to walk fast compared to a conventional shoe. My sister says that you can walk fast in clogs; you just have to develop huge toe muscles, hehehe.

Great shoe! I purchased the shoes for my son who is a teacher. He is on his feet most of the day and also does a lot of art shows. He told me this pair of shoes is the best ever, as he does have problems with his feet and early arthritis. Thanks for the great fit and service.
