Best Shoe I EVER wore - I have several pairs of Dansko closed clogs, which are wonderful. But I have chronic Achilles tendonitis, and am always in pain from inflammation at the backs of my heels. So, I thought I'd try an OPEN-back clog. I bought the Ingrid in black. I wanted one with a strap I could place behind my heel for secure fit if I needed it. Well, I didn't need the strap after-all and keep it cutely on the front all the time. I was always afraid to try open-back clogs for fear they slide, drop, flop, flip or fly off my feet while I was walking. But these NEVER slide, drop, flop, flip or fly-off my feet, if feet are bare or socked. The fit so perfectly, so securely, so comfortably, I can drive or do just about anything in them, and they stay securely in place. And the open-back is great on my Achilles tendonitis. Once I get the foot-bed broken in (molds to your foot...WONDERFUL FEELING) they will be the most perfect shoes on planet earth (for me, anyway).

Does your job require excessive time on your feet? My daughter works 50-70 hours weekly and complained every night about her feet and/or back, so I bought these for her birthday. She always kidded me about wearing clogs so I was nervous about her reaction to the style. The size also concerned me because some of the reviews said they fit true to size, some said they ran big and some said they ran small. Since I've done biz with Zappos before and I'm familiar with their generous return policy, I didn't hesitate to go ahead and get them. They arrived in 2 days, my daughter loved the way they fit and felt (it's the first time a pair of shoes reached her very high arch) and, she reports, she doesn't even think about her feet or back at the end of her very long days. I bought her usual size and they were exactly right. They're worth every cent. Oh yeah, she thinks they're smart looking and loves that they make her taller.

You are right ... order down a size - I have a closet full of clogs and they are all 39's. I just received my Dansko clogs and the 39's are definitely too small. I will re-order the 40's.

Dansko Ingrid- This is my fourth Dansko- and my second of this model. Each of my first three pairs are almost ten years old; these clogs are indestructible! They are the only shoes, other than sneakers; I can wear for comfortable long distance walking- especially with the convertible strap in the back. I usually wear a 9WW, but the Ingrid size 40 (a women's 10/regular width) fits my extremely wide foot with bunions, perfectly. This is a hip looking shoe, well-made and well worth the price.

Awesome Dansko Ingrid- I work in my career on my feet 80% of my day. My feet [heels] ALWAYS used to hurt me- now that I have my new DANSKO INGRID... my feet NEVER hurt! THEY ARE THE BEST!!!! I have a high instep- heel problems and one bad toe- these shoes are the best!

I really like this shoe, I have several foot problems and can wear this shoe every day. I also have two pairs of Dansko sandles that I wear all summer. Ingrid is comfortable and so flexible--it can go to work and look great with jeans. Please offer the reversible heel strap in more colors and conceal the staples. I need a tan pair.

BUY THESE GREAT SHOES!!! I was looking for a high-quality clog to wear for our next trip- which would include quite a bit of walking. I bought these shoes one week prior to our trip. Once they arrived, I put them on. FANTASTIC! I love these shoes- and so do my feet. Amazing support; even prettier in person. I wore them to Scotland- around Scotland- and back. I decided that I did not need the other five pairs of shoes I'd brought with me. We travel quite a bit, and my feet always seem to take a beating. Not after wearing these shoes. I will be buying several more. One side-note: You may need to order a size smaller than usual if you do not plan to wear medium to thick socks with them as they run slightly large. Make your feet happy- buy yourself a pair. Enjoy!

Not so good - I love Dansko shoes, but the Ingrid footbed does not feel like any other Dansko I've worn. Also, I normally wear a size 40, but this style feels like it is a 39. Very uncomfortable.

Dansko Ingrid - The shoe is exactly as I expected. It is totally different from what I am used to. I wanted a clog with a strap for work thinking I could easily slip it on and off since I work a 12 hour night. It fits well. I am having a hard time getting used to it, but I am determined to make it work so I continue to wear it temporarily at home.

Best work shoes ever!! I've heard great things about Dansko clogs, but I thought they were a little too expensive on my budget. When two of my co-workers bought a pair and kept raving about them, I decided to invest in them and found these on Zappos. The first day I wore them at work, I was worried I would get blisters breaking-in a new pair of shoes, but to my surprise and delight, these clogs were so comfortable. The best thing I loved about them the first time I wore them was the great arch support they gave. I have flat feet and these clogs have the arch support I need being on my feet all day at work. They also keep my feet cool and even with thin or thick socks, they still feel great =).

"They are great shoes" I ordered these shoes for my daughter who is on her feet 12 hours a day working at a hospital. She said they are very comfortable and she wishes she had them in every color!

Review of Dansko Ingrid - Great shoe but I neede a full size larger than I wear. Thanks to Zappos great return and shipping I had my new pair almost over night and my return was credited very rapidly.

Love them! I absolutely love these shoes--I wear them constantly & they look good with everything! They are extremely comfortable. I ordered them in black also and couldn't have been happier! I have the best luck with Zappos--great customer service and great shoes every time! Thank you!

The description says downsize for half-sizes. Don't downsize! I am a small size 9 (an 8 3/4); I usually wear size 40. I ordered a 39 because the size chart said 39 = size 9. They are too small. I need 40. So go with your usual Euro size. Otherwise, they are terrific clogs. Sturdy, good arch support, secure on the foot, plenty of toe room; flexible bottoms.

Sheila AZ - Shoe feels comfortable, but for some reason when I wear them for 9+ hours my ankles seem to bother me. I feel much taller in them. Think I'd try another style next time.

I needed 2 sizes larger in this style cause of the width. :( I want to love these so bad but refuse to order a size 10. I am an 8 and could not fit my foot in and while CS was amazing in returning these clogs the 9 is just fitting.:( I want to order the denim but am scared.

One concern - I like the shoes very much. My only concern is that the insole (the material on the bottom where my foot rests) is already coming loose and I need to find a glue to glue it down. For such a high quality shoe, I felt this should not be happening after only a few days.

Nice shoe - This is my first exposure to a European shoe and it was a full size smaller than I normally wear. Aside from that, it's very a comfortable and nice looking shoe.

Give them time~ I work 12 hr shifts in a busy hospital and made the mistake of wearing these ALL day the first day. My left arch was very bruised feeling, almost immediately and on and off most of the day. (almost like the arch was too high!) Still.. I went and wore them again the next day, and putting my foot into that shoe was a little tender. However, after about two hours of wearing them on the second day, I found that the bruised feeling was completely gone! I have worn them daily ever since, and they are very comfortable.

Don't go down a size! I wear a ladies size 11 shoe. Their chart says that an 11 is a 41. Well, I went with 42 (Dansko "12") because that's what I wear in a Birkenstock, and my left foot hangs over the back of the shoe.

Next size up - I too had to go up one size in but even the small size I did get felt nice.

First day - I ordered brown, but they sent me black. No big deal. Today I wore them for my first day in operating room, started out feeling ok. By the end of the day I had blisters on my toes, could not wait until the day ended. I wear an 8-8-1/2 ordered a 39. Fit seemed alright. I'll give them a few more days to break in, but if no change they're going in the garbage. I read soooo many great reviews before I bought them. A little disappointed so far.

I need the shoes for work. I work for a catering co & have to be on my feet, walking for up to 8 hrs sometimes. I used the shoes this past weekend & they gave me really bad blister & raw feet. I have another job this weekend & hope is a lot better. By 7 hrs of wearing them I had to take them off as I could not stand the pain in my feet any longer.

Ingrid - Had to return this shoe. I wear a ladies size 11. My toes felt squished by this shoe and my heel hung over the back of one of the shoes. I would have ordered the next size up, but 42 is the largest that they make this one in.
