This is a comfortable clog because it has a heel strap. Other clogs require toe curling in order to keep the clog. The heel strap eliminates this problem. The sole is stiff and does not cushion the feet, but the advantage to this is that it does last much longer than spongy, giving soles.

Total comfort - If you want a really comfortably shoe, this one is for you. I am on my feet all day as a nurse, walking a lot. My feet are in heaven all day, I never have the slightest ache in these shoes. They are very cute but not something to wear with dress slacks. I recommend these shoes to everyone, it's worth every penny.

A must have! So comfortable! And a look that will never go out of style. I wear them year round!

Dansko Ingrid the perfect shoe - This is my second pair. I love the shoes, being on my feet all day this is the only shoe that gives me support and my feet don't hurt. I will buy another pair soon.

They keep me working - I was a shoe hog. Had them everywhere, in all bedrooms, under the beds, everywhere. But I discovered Danskos, and I've become a Dansko snob. I teach, which means on your feet, on slab floors all the time. For the past 7 years, it has been Danskos or I can't make it through the day. After one back surgery, they are the only shoes I wear. The Ingrids are a great fit, lots of support and will transition from fall through winter for another year of teaching. If Danskos only made sneakers!

Great shoes - I'm on my feet for hours at a time and Dansko shoes are my favorite work shoes. They're not the particularly elegant in appearance, but even though these are sling back/open clogs they look quite professional. Because they're leather, they felt tight when I first got them, but they stretched just enough to be comfortable.

Fantastic as usual - This is my 4th pair of Danskos... I am a nurse and can wear them right out of the box for a 12hr shift without problems.

Not chic but can't beat comfort and support - I need to be on my feet for work and these offer great support and comfort. I have also been wearing them on the weekends when I'm out with my kids. I generally wear more fashion forward looks but don't want to destroy my feet (and back!). I'm very pleased with these and love the extra height.

Danskos Ingrid - The shoes are fabulous. The first pair I ordered were too small, I called and they sent me another pair overnight without them getting the first ones back and not charging my card again. To begin with they overnighted the first pair for no charge....that’s incredible. The first day I wore the shoe, I worked 13 hours in them and had no pain. The customer service is the best that I have ever had the pleasure working with. They walked me through the computer to print the return label and were just so nice and helpful.

Dansko Ingrid, awesome - Dansko clogs are part of my uniform. I have 5 pairs now and can't imagine wearing anything else at work. The open back clog and the closed heel clog run the same size, don't go smaller or bigger. The only thing I do if they are too small at the toes is I put a shoe expander in the shoe for 4 hours then they are perfect. Each shoe runs a different size so if you need to return, just do it and they send you another pair before they get the return without charging you again unless there is a difference in price. I love Zappos and can't imagine buying from anyone else. We have a store in town that sells Danskos even a bit cheaper but I still order from Zappos because of the best customer service on the planet. If you like the closed back clog, try the open back, you can always put the strap around the ankle. Another nurse at work with back problems was too scared to wear anything but sneakers, I talked her into trying Danskos and she now has NO back problems, first time in 20 years. The price is worth it. You get what you pay for. Also, they look great with jeans. I am so happy about my Danskos. Thank you.

On my feet all day with great shoes! I am a busy RN who needs to have good quality, comfortable, sturdy shoes. These are it! My only wish is that they looked a little more streamlined; they do look a bit bulky, but that is the overall look of Danskos. Otherwise, they are great for working all day. I don't think about my feet at all while wearing these.

Must have - Working in a hospital running up and down hallways all day long, I've found that my back and legs doesn't hurt at the end of the day. I'm on my third pair. I will not buy any other shoe for work. They are well worth the money.

Great shoe! I ordered this shoe in my normal size but it was a bit short. Reordered it and love it! Will buy it in the brown in the future. The black looks and holds up wonderful. The instep is good for my feet that are on the floor normally 12-14 hrs per day!

Professional - I am on my feet at least 12 hrs a day, as a nurse. I also make rounds thru the hospital, so it is very important to have comfortable shoes that I am able to wear for the full 12 hrs. This was my first pair, but after watching and asking many other nurses I have to agree these are probably the most comfortable shoes that I have found.

Comfortable and worth the $$ Dansko clogs are perhaps the most comfortable shoes on earth. I have plantar fasciitis and bunions and I over-pronate something awful. These shoes provide great support and the box leather is easy to keep clean. The sole is a bit narrow at the heel so you have to be careful, especially on uneven terrain, not to turn your heel, but other than that they are perfect. My old Ingrids, which I've had for about six or seven years, are falling apart so I bought these. I recommend them highly.

I really am enjoying these shoes. As a manager of a restaurant, I spend a great deal of time on my feet and these shoes have relieved a lot of the pain I was having due to poor footwear.

First of all let me say that service with Zappos is superb. Zappos makes it easy to shop for shoes in the comfort of one's own home. The return policy is prompt and hassle free. If you have never purchased from Zappos out of hesitation of buying from an online merchant, go for it. You will not be disappointed. About this particular shoe: Dansko Ingrid is a good looking shoe of very good quality. However, you need to know that Dansko shoes need to be broken in for awhile. I work 12 hour shifts and comfortable shoes is a must. It might not be a good idea to wear this shoe for the first time when you have to work long hours unless you take a pair of relief shoes along with you. As far as sizing goes, this particular Dansko runs a size small! If you wear size 8 shoes, order a size 9. If you don't, the shoes will fit very snuggly and your toes get cramped. If you plan to wear this shoe with work socks, you might order one and a half size bigger than what you normally wear. Don't worry. Your feet won't look gigantic! Also, if your feet are wide, you probably will have a harder time breaking the shoe in. The arch support is very good. You might feel some soreness on your arch after wearing the shoe for the first few hours, but next time you put them on the soreness is gone. Remember returning shoes for exchange or refund with Zappos is easy. Try your shoes on a carpeted floor (or spread a sheet on the floor), so if you need to return it the shoes will be clean.

Excellent kitchen shoe. Good support, comfy, and non-slipping.

Fits different in different leathers - Although that's generally true with Danskos. I liked the look of the oiled leather, but the feel of the box leather. Close comparison of the soles actually shows them to be a tiny bit different! It must be because of the way the different leathers stretch over the last. Anyway, this is a great looking Dansko clog.

Dansko Ingrid - Amazing pair! I can walk in them all day. This style's instep padding is especially tight though. I always wear a 7 (in Danskos a 37), but in style wearing even the skinny socks are out of the question. Next time I might order a 38. I love the extra 2 inches I gain, when I wear this pair.

Clog - Have had them in the past and continue to purchase and wear because of durability and comfort.

Dansko Ingrid - I am always on my feet at work in the lab. They provide comfort, support, and style! I have no more lower backpain & arch/heel pain. They are a life saver!

Worth Every Penny - I have rheumatoid arthritis and am on my feet all day long so shoes are something I don't scrimp on. I've been wearing Dankso Professionals for quite a few years now and decided to try out Ingrid's open back clog. They are just as wonderful. First day I got them I wore them for a 12 hour shift at the large medical center where I work without any problems at all. They are nice enough to wear with dress pants. And thanks Zappos - I ordered them on a Tuesday and they were delivered on Thursday - I don't buy shoes anywhere else!
