Born Nome - The Born Nome is the best shearling boot out there! What a great price for such a well-made boot. I bought the Cappiciano last winter and got the parchment and black this winter! Great fit, great style and best of all, Zappos has them!

Born Nome - Have been waiting since last year to get a pair of these and am pleased with how nice these are. The shearling/leather is super soft, not stiff at all as the picture would make you think. Though the actual shoe part is very stiff which means they probably won't be as warm as I had hoped. The look amazing on though and should be nice for general wear during winter. Zappos has the FASTEST shipping ever and always gets things right!

Born Nome (Cappuccino) I saw these gorgeous boots just once on an American friend visiting the UK and had to have them, so I had them shipped via a cousin in the States - and frankly they were worth the effort. The quality is unquestionable, the boots are incredibly comfortable even on the first wearing with thin socks, and the appearance is even more stylish than the photographs suggest. The suede is incredibly soft and the nubuck reassuringly sturdy. As I have quite a low foot arch, I found Nome fitted true to width, and the size was on the generous side. However, those with a high foot arch may find they seem a touch narrow. Although the boots are solidly made, I'm not certain how well they'd survive extreme conditions--they're beautifully warm enough for a mild English winter, but I wouldn't want to wade through heavy snow in them. All in all, a beautiful, stylish, functional and unique looking boot, worth every penny if only for the compliments I receive whenever I wear them!

Born Nome Lace Up Boot - I was amazed at the quality of this boot. I love it. It fit me extremely well both overall and in width. The look is very contemporary. The boot is very warm. I live in Wisconsin, so I know I will be wearing it a lot.

Best shearling on the market! I wear an 11 and these are perfect! So many shoes are cut on a small (skimpy) last and these are absolutely a true 11! They are gorgeous, comfortable and beautifully made. What a bargain! If you want a luxurious shearling boot that fits well, and looks terrific, this is it!

Great Look - This is a great looking and light weight boot that I wear in the urban setting as well as in the country. Not for rugged wear, it is very comfortable and stylish for in town shopping and walks.

Buy them! If you are looking for a shoe to rival Uggs, these are the ones. I have been wearing these over jeans to the boutique I work in and they look so cute! Everyone asks about them. I don't like that you aren't supposed to wear socks with Uggs, and with these you can wear thick socks or thin socks and adjust the laces for a perfect fit. I also love these boots with the skirts I have. You can really tighten them around your ankles so they look "nordic-sexy". Trust me these boots will satisfy, and they are really high quality and comfortable. Great traction as well. Fashion AND function! If you are either one of two sizes (i.e. 7 or 7 1/2) buy your smaller size. Oh, and you can fold the top over to just wear around the house, easy to slip on and off.

Nice boots - These boots are nice if you are looking for a warm winter boot in black and still want to look stylish. I have the same boot in creme and the furry part is much softer on those. I also wish the boot was higher, but overall I am pleased with them.

Zappos is great, I got these shoes in 3 days! Was really excited to try this shoe, but when I put it on, it felt a full size too big, even with a heavy sock. A fun shoe for bad weather!

They look awesome and are very comfortable. I usually wear a 9.5 and I got a 9. There is still a little bit of room if I wear big socks. The only negative I have is the heel inside is a little hard. I put a heel pad in and they are perfect now.

Very cute and trendy - I liked these a lot but I didn't like the 2 tone. I'd have loved them to have been all pink or possibly even pink with the chestnut color.

Cute but expensive - I thought these were adorable too but I, as well, wish they were all pink and not the cream and pink. I thought they looked cuter in the picture than they did when I got them so I sent them back! Please make all pink next year!

Born's Nome - I ordered a half size smaller than I normally wear, and it fit. Very cool looking boot - I have had several compliments on it. No one else in town has anything like it!!! Just like to be different!

Cute and Comfy!!! Really cute and really comfortable! I like these better than my Uggs b/c they are not what EVERYONE is wearing. They have a unique style and the pink is so cute! I have noticed no quality problems at all, although I don't wear them daily, so maybe with heavy use it would be different. I think they are stylish, different, comfortable and very warm and functional.

Wide nome - The boot is awesome looking and feeling and is very well-made; it is however, on the wide side.

Born Nome - These boots are very cute. They look different and European. They do, however, feel very tight on top of your feet. They feel 1/2 size bigger but they must be in order for your feet to fit in. Overall, I do not regret buying them. I don't wear them as often as my fake uggs...they are great to show some style though.

This boot is very comfortable but not very practical for an ND winter. The "shoe" portion of the boot is not lined at all. Zappos was excellent to work with, I order the boot late Fri night and received them by Mon afternoon.

I love boots - When I saw these boots, I just loved them. I was going to buy some tall Ugg boots, but everyone has those and these were so much cuter. The lace up boots I heard are the new look, so I really loved these. But, they don't run true to size and they are too big. I didn't know that with Uggs they say to order a half size down if you're in between sizes, I've always ordered up a half size as I did with these. But, I don't know if I return them and get a 7 instead of the 8, if they're going to be too small. They make my foot look pretty big but I still like the looks of them. They feel comfortable, but since they're too big they slide off my foot somewhat.

comfort - Boots were beautiful, but I expected them to come to the knee. Comfort is another story... Where the fur on the heel meets the suede it feels like cardboard. I am looking for a comfortable, feminine winter boot (and WARM)So back they go and I'll keep looking!

Stylish, but not perfect. I got my pair last week after falling in love with the picture on Zappos, and I wanted to add some comments here. Though stylish and very soft and easy to slip on (convenience is always a plus), I did have some complaints about this shoe. - The shearling portion of the shoe makes it a little too soft to wear for any substantial bit of walking. Because of the low foot portion, there is little support for your foot as you walk. Also, the sock in one boot kept slipping all the way down - again, a support issue. Maybe I needed to lace up the strings tighter. -The fluff was rather uneven - more fluffy on one shoe. -The top sides of one shoe was had imperfections when I got it.

fuzzy - They are very warm and soft. The fur is not as thick as I wanted it to be. But I would get them agian.

Lacks lining - A wonderful boot in every way, BUT it doesn't have that fur lining in the shoe itself, only in the upper part.

Nome - They were not as comfortable as they claimed, Minnetonka 14" blows them away. They run narrow. Also, 1 boot had a huge amount of fluff extending from seams, and 1 boot had hardly any fluff. I trimmed the one and Superglued it onto the sparse one. The look is better than the fit, also they are not fully lined, and have no gusset.
