I purchased these shoes for my 19 year old son who has Autism. He can get these on without my help which is a big plus in my book! He is also very hard on shoes, so I normally buy two pair at a time. These have lasted longer than any other brand I have tried! He is 6'3 280lbs with a very wide foot. 13 xxw works well!

I have been using Propet shoes for many years and find that they are perfect for me. I have a wide foot and a high instep so the adjustable straps make it great for me to fit the shoe to my foot. Thanks

Definitely buy a 1/2 size larger. Well made...I should have returned them for the next size up. I think I've managed to make them workable with a shoe stretcher.

The width choices on this shoes are very small compared to other manufacturers. For example, in a Clarks shoe, a 2E is actually a bit large for me. In this shoe, a 3E is way too small. So, be aware.

These are nice shoe, seem to hold up pretty good. I buy these shoes for my son, who has a very wide feet, and he seem to like the style of them.

I felt like these were squeezing my forefoot and toes. I usually wear a 4E and I thought that the 5E would be more comfortable. My New Balance 928 in a 4E feel wider especially in the toe box area. I did like the style of the Propet but they just felt to tight. the soles were comfortable. Special thanks to Zappos for an easy return and speedy credit.

What I like about it is the ease of putting it on and the velcro strap.

Ordered these from Zappo's because I have NEVER had any problems dealing with them and know that returns would be easy. I am a diabetic with WIDE feet and found these shoes to be comfortable. I do not enjoy them as much as other Propet shoes I have purchased - but for the price, it was not an unreasonable compromise. I would not hesitate to suggest others to purchase these shoes.

Liked pedwalker 1 better - I took the Life Walker because the pedwalker was not available in white. This shoe is lighter and pretty comfortable but is not as deep to accommodate my orthotics.

Great shoes. I really appreciate the selection of wide sizes Propét offers, and that they make shoes that look like dress shoes from the outside but are padded like sneakers on the inside. The only problem I had with these shoes was that the insoles that came with them were very loose and kept slipping back under my heels. Ultimately I had to glue them in place, and now they're fine. It also took me three tries to find the right size for this shoe, because I was used to buying shoes that are longer than I needed in order to get extra width.

My habit is to take my right shoe off by pulling it along the carpet towards me after untying it and I discovered that the bottom of the right heel had separated some from the rest of the shoe. Otherwise, this shoe fits well, wears well, is true to size. The issue of construction leads me to urge others to find another shoe without that kind of construction.

Full disclosure: I am 350+ lbs and walk with my feet pronating, so I use custom orthodontics. These shoes broke down to the outside within 2 months and the sole is starting to peal off. I found these shoes very comfortable but was disappointed they broke down so quick....but I don't know if it was the shoe or my weight.

There have been significant changes to this shoe since I purchased my first pair several years ago. As others have written, my original pair felt comfortable from the moment I first put them on. I have extremely wide, extremely flat feet. This new pair has the same model number and supposedly is the same size. However, the shoe has a toe-box that is at least a quarter inch more narrow; the length seems shorter also. The very front of the sole is cut differently, at a strange angle. The heel area is also designed and stitched differently. This shoe is not remotely as comfortable as the original version. The only reason that I did not return them was I didn't feel like going through the trouble of doing so.

The first pair of The Life Walker that I bought was like the photo shown online and it was all leather upper as described. I just received another pair of the same shoe but it is not all leather upper as described. Also the bottom of the sole is all white. Propet seems to be putting out a different shoe and I am disappointed in them. They need to redo their advertisement. Hector Del Rio

I ordered this shoe 'cause it sounded like it would be really comfortable with excellent cushion. I have a left TKR that didn't take too well and I need cushion. This shoe wasn't what I had hoped for. But, it looks really nice. Probably should have ordered a narrower shoe but I have another pair of Propets that I really love and I ordered the same size. Too wide and does not cradle my foot like the first pair. Maybe made on different lasts? I am going to put an insert in the shoe and see if that makes it more comfortable.

Hard and unyielding, not comfortable to walk in. It's too bad because the shoe itself fits my foot. I tried with and without an insole and it isn't a good shoe to walk in either way. Size wise New Balance could learn a thing or two because it did fit well.

Shoe was too tight in my normal size and had to be returned. It appeared to be attractive and well built. One minor aggravation - the top shoelace holes that had to have the lace inserted were too small and I had difficulties getting the lace inserted in both shoes.

Somewhat disappointed in this shoe. Sides are beginning to break down and one of the seams stitching appears to be undone a little. I might have scraped it though. Feet really ache after a couple of hours. So inside support packing down too.

This was my first and last attempt to purchase shoes online. I have always purchased my shoes directly from the stores allowing me to try on the shoes before purchase. I chose this shoe because of styling and velcro closure which I hoped would provide addition adjustment for fit. The size I chose was the same size I have been wearing for decades and was not able to get my foot into this brand. My disappointment because this shoe had every thing I was looking for in a walking shoe.

Soles cracked and started leaking in less than 2 years. I'm usually light on my shoes, most last longer than that and they're just used for casual everyday walking.

This shoe says 5e but it is not. I have the same brand and the difference is so apparent. I can send you a picture showing the difference from the same brand, can't believe they put 5e on the shoe. Bet it's the same as a d or W. If the new shoe is the same then refund my money or show me another brand that is 5 e, will even take 4e. Thanks

The tongues are too short and slide down toward the toe when you put them on. They run somewhat wide and mine slip up and down on my heels when I walk, no matter how tightly I lace them. This is definitely not a pair of shoes I will wear even though they look nice.

I have had them for just over and they are coming apart around the sole and the big toe area on the outside. Do not get them. They are not worth the money for a year wear. I am retied an do not walk much. They are just not made well.
