Shoe is too tight - I work at a hospital and everyone wears Danskos. I was excited to finally get a pair and I really wanted these: the Cabrios in the reddish brown color. When I got them (a size larger than I typically wear, as was suggested) they were extremely difficult to put on. I had to push with all my weight to get my foot inside. Then, once they were on, my toes would go numb after 20 minutes. I thought maybe I could power through this to stretch them out but a co-worker of mine said the same thing happened to her and she powered through and wore them everyday despite the tightness and ended up with a nerve palsy that took months to heal. So I took them in to a store that sells Danskos and they said that with the Cabrios it was pretty common that people brought them back for being too tight. I tried on a size larger just to check and they were huge so I just ended up exchanging them for a different style (can't remember the name but it was with oiled leather and I could immediately feel the difference- they were so comfortable). So in the end I love the style Danskos that I ended up with, they are extremely comfortable and supportive and I wear them daily – but not the Cabrios.

Too tight! I loved the way Dansko shoes look, so I figured I would buy a pair. When I got them I was so excited! I slipped them on and…ouch! I figured I would wear them around the house for a day to break them in. Towards, the end of the day they felt somewhat comfortable, so I figured I was good to go for the next day at work. The next morning I slipped my feet in, and again, they were too tight. So, I am now in the process of returning these for another brand. I would recommend this product for people who have smaller feet.

These shoes don't stretch out - I never have a problem with one shoe not fitting, but with these shoes, the top leather across my left arch was really tight (much tighter than the right). I thought the leather would stretch a bit, but when taking them to my local shoe repair place, they informed me that due to the stapling of the leather to the shoes, you can't stretch these shoes without tearing them apart.

Too tight! I loved the look and the comfort other than the fact that is was way too tight across the top of my foot. Thought it might loosen up but it did not. I was very sad to have to send them back. I did go to a store a tried one on and it was fine. Tried the same shoe on in navy and it fit the same as this one! Very, Very Tight!

My arch is too high - I really wanted these shoes to work. As suggested, I ordered a size up to 42. I usually wear a woman's 11. I have a super high arch, and the shoe is way too tight across the top of my foot. I could hardly get my feet into the shoes. I have a pair of Dansko Mary Jane sandals, and I love those. If they weren't so tight across the top, they would be great.

What happened? This is the third Dansko Professional Cabrio that I have ordered in a year - the first two are wonderful but this third pair - although the same size - is very snug and did not run true to the others. I will still buy again - but I hope it will run like the first two.

I'm happy now, thank you Zappos - I ordered and received my first pair very quickly the next day only to find that they were a bit snug... as opposed to how they should fit (heel should raise up and down as you walk). So I returned them and called Zappos to let them know that I needed the next size up, but my account was not credited yet... No problem, they would send the new size to me even though they had not received the old size yet. Sure enough my package arrived the next day. I love them... so comfortable. I usually wear a size 9, I ordered as recommended the euro size up 40, but ended up needing a 41.

The search goes on... These shoes were not as comfortable as I expected from the other reviews. They do not hit my arch in the right spot and the tops rub against my feet. I have had them for three weeks, and I am still hoping they will work out for me, as I spend a lot of time on my feet (I am a teacher)

Professional, not for professional use? These shoes are the most comfortable I have ever worn. I am an RN so I'm on my feet all day. However, after just a couple of days, the finish started rubbing off my shoes. I contacted Dansko and they said they are not meant for occupational use. I wonder why they call them Professional. I would still buy them again because they are so comfortable but I would try one of the matte finishes.

The shoe was too tight across the top and toe area, but was to large in the heel, it slipped. I ordered the shoe in the medium width. Ordering a wider width or a larger size would have made the problem with the heel slipping worse. I had to return them.

Careful: May twist your knee - These are incredible shoes. They longer you wear them the more comfortable they get. When I first started I was shocked because there were staples and stitches on the leather which would rub the top of my foot. But, what happens is you sink into the shoe which grows to fit your foot perfectly and all of the stitching on the top doesn't matter at all because you are no longer touching it. The one tricky thing is that because the shoe is designed not to bind your foot at all, sometimes when walking on uneven ground (like a brick sidewalk) or if the shoe catches in any way, the shoe will twist out from under me. It will really wrench my knee and I'll almost fall. I wonder if it negates all the good my knees were getting from being in such a well constructed shoe. This happened so much to another friend that she stopped buying this particular style. My friend thinks it is because the heel is so narrow, so she picks out Danskos with a wider base. I have the Dansko Margrete which has a strap and that problem never seems to happen. On the whole, I love this brand. I might be careful with this particular style.

HURT - Everybody say that this is a number one seller and I spent a lot of money on it and it didn't work for me!!! It's killing me!!!

Tight across the instep- These shoes look great! BUT, I found that one shoe is much tighter across the instep than the other. The band that goes across the top of the shoe is too tight- I'm hoping the leather will stretch a bit. I wear Dansko's almost exclusively and this is the first pair I have had a problem with.

Size chart is way off - I wear a 10, ordered a 41 (11) and had to return them for a 42 (listed here as a 12!)

So cute, especially in red! But the patent leather lacks the flexibility of the other Dansko leathers, making this a bad choice for those of us with high insteps. I tried a couple of different pairs and different sizes before realizing that this shoe just won't work for me.

Cabrio shoe - The shoe is comfortable for standing and walking. I haven't found any other shoe that provides day-long comfort on the job.

Shoe NOT true to size! The shoe looks great, the quality is impeccable -- HOWEVER, it is NOT true to size! I wear a true size 12, and my toes were painfully crammed into the shoe. Order half a size to 1 size up!

Painful shoe - I do love Danskos but this shoe was VERY painful to try and break in. I am a hospital resident and the bunion of my toe wore down the red patent leather in about 3 months! I like the softer leather Dansko clog better than this as it takes the patent leather awhile to loosen.

Loved the look - could'nt stand the pain - I have always loved the look for Dansko's. From the time i saw them in a store or whenever i saw someone else wearing a pair, i always thought to myself that i need to own a pair of these shoes. After all, i keep hearing how wonderful these shoes are!! So i ordered them from none other than my favorite place..Zappos!! These shoes have possibly been the biggest let down ever! The top cuff digs into the top bone of your foot, so much so that once i removed them..i couldnt bear to put them back on because of how much pain they put me in. I was thinking of putting a thicker pair of socks on to cushion this pain, no such luck..my foot and the thick sock just cant fit inside the shoe! With thin socks, you end up with the worst water blisters! Seeing I can't win with this shoe...they will be back on their way to Zappos!!

Not so comfortable after all. After reading the customer comments, I finally came to a decision about the style and size clog which would be best for me. Surprisingly, they are not as comfortable as everyone was saying. My feet were actually hurting after wearing them for a day. I also read to buy clogs a bit larger because your heel is supposed to move up and down in the shoe as you walk. I have a bad ankle and my feet just do not feel stable in them. I ordered a size 11(my everyday shoe is a 10). The clog, even though it is a size 11, does make my foot look smaller. Overall, I thought the Dansko clog would be super comfortable - not so. I definitely think that it needs more cushion.

Dansko Reveiw - Excellent. I am a Dansko fan.

Dansko Cabrio - I love the look of the shoe, and it is comfortable for the most part. Unfortunately, it puts pressure on the bottom of my foot and feels like I am getting a callus from the pressure. I am not sure if I needed another size up, but it is also a size larger then I usually take because they do run small.

Is there a design flaw?? Or is it me?? I had these shoes long enough to fall in love with them but not long enough to adapt to the rough corner in the inside created from the STAPLE that connects the back piece of leather to the front piece of leather. Since when are rough corners and staples comfortable INSIDE of a shoe? The inside of both feet (where my arch hit the shoe) was very tender from the rough edge and the staple rubbing after just a short period of time. Unfortunately, I had to return the shoe, over which I am still grieving. I am optimistic that with ZAPPO'S wonderful selection and service I can find a replacement.

Finish Rubbed off within 2 weeks!! These shoes are extremely comfortable but the cabrio finish on the leather was worn off after just a few wearings. My friends were shocked that they were only 2 weeks old - they look like I've worn them for years! Quite a dissapointment.
