Disappointing - I ordered this shoe hoping to find an equivalent of the Dansko Malena which is out of production. Although the look is nearly identical, the fit is not the same. Sonja's top "cuff" hits me at the wrong place on my foot (I have a very high arch). I have worn the Dansko Malena for more than 5 years; it has been a wonderful shoe for my WW foot. Alas, Sonja is apparently not the answer to my prayers. ZAPPOS, however is a fabulous site with staff who go above and beyond service found anywhere else. THEY never disappoint me.

Good looking but surprisingly uncomfortable - This is my fifth or sixth pair of Dansko clogs but unfortunately the last two pairs which I happened to have bought from Zappos have not fit at all. I bought my first pair of Dansko clogs about ten years ago when they were first sold in the US, and it seems that their quality has declined somewhat over the years. The fit is different somehow, too. My old Dansko’s were ready to wear right out of the box but these new Sonja’s have hurt and rubbed the skin off my toes. I have high arches and after a day of walking around, they also bind the tops of my feet.

After so many good reviews and seeing this shoes around from a lot of people, I decided to try them. I work long shifts standing and walking and I thought this would be finally it. I was wrong. I know they said to downside the size, but I ordered the 38 for my 8 size and now I'm thinking I could have order a 39. The toes get almost numb, I don't know if it's because the shoe is small or because of the sole is so hard! I got them on for 2 weeks because I know they said it takes a while to get comfortable, but everyday my feet hurt so much I can't stand it anymore. I don't think it was a right choice for my feet.

Lovely clogs but somehow overall not what I thought - I love Merrill clogs but thought I'd try something new and love the way these look. Somehow although they are my size and my heel fits into the back they come off feeling small and like I'm teetering on top of something. I think the front of the shoe isn't wide enough or something. It's too late to return them...I wore them right away. Perhaps these will get better once summer comes and I wear them without socks (?) I don't know. But I won't buy this brand again.

Disappointed - I was expected a comfortable shoe because I'm a server and on my feet for 13 hours a day. (I'm 59 if that makes any difference.) These were a disappointment. My daughter likes them, but not for long time wear.

Fit is everything, and this particular style runs - Fit is everything, and this particular style runs small. Given that I wear an 8 1/2 to 9 and the 9 seems a bit too short in length I would recommend you should take this into consideration. It has great arch support and better than average width at ball of foot. I just wish that it were a bit longer for a better fit for my foot. Other Dansko styles fit me well, this is a big disappointment.

not comfortable

These were too loose and I returned them.

I've had these clogs for many years and the new ones are ridiculously wide and nothing like the last ones I bought. They're not regular as indicated but very WIDE - you have to have fat feet to keep them on. Very disappointed.

I wanted to like the Dansko Sonja but unfortunately, it's too wide for my foot and I slipped out of it without barely taking a step. My feet are on the narrow to regular width spectrum, but these are definitely for a truly wide foot, so I'm returning.

I wanted to love these but the fit was really off. They run *extremely wide. The length was correct but my foot was sliding around in them—right to left and front to back—and they wouldn’t stay on. It was almost comedic. The leather upper and the footbed itself are both very stiff and hard which I imagine would work well if they actually fit, (they are a clog after all), but in my case only added to the discomfort. I noticed several other reviews mentioning that the fit of this shoe has changed recently and is now much wider than it used to be (??) Maybe that’s the issue. Anyhow, too bad! And I can’t say I would recommend them.

Very hard wood sole- not cushioned by any insole component. Used to wear them for work, but can't imagine why I did, as these were SO uncomfortable.

The fit was tight around ball of foot and the my foot slid when wearing stocking so my toes hit the end of shoe.

I have worn Danskos in past with no problem. These are falling off my feet, not sure why . I wore with a light cushion sock, and thought that might be slippage problem but it was not completely solved with bare feet, though better. The distance from footbed to top of shoe opening is too big. I almost fell on stairs as my foot slipped out of shoe. Very strange

Tight - may have broken in with time but I didn't want to chance it. Usually wear a 5.5 might have gone up a full size.

These clogs are super hard and uncomfortable.

As a Dansko customer for over 30 years, I was greatly disappointed. It seems the quality of comfort that I have experienced with Dansko manufacturing in the past has been compromised. Greater selection of styles are available, however my original choice of the "Sonja", lacks the foot comfort I remembered. The comfort found previously in the Sonja was worth the price paid. However, with the changes made and compromise in comfort, I will be looking elsewhere....

I am a hair stylist and these are not for someone who stands all day! I wore them one day and am set on returning them. They have very little arch support.

I am not sure if Dansko changed the shoe design but something is not right. I have owned several pairs of the same shoe and loved them. However, this one seems to be very stiff and constantly comes of my foot. I hope I would break it in but after many months it has not happened. Very disappointing.

Apparently, Dansko shoes do not work with my feet. I purchased my regular size, which was very tight. So, I bought the largest size available. It fit but, it was still tight and, because it was so hard, I didn't have much hope of breaking it in. I almost gave up hope but, decided to read the reviews (thank goodness for them). Someone recommended the Sanita because it's softer. Since there was only one left in the largest size, I hurried up and ordered it. I just received my order and it is softer and feels so much better than the hard, unbendable, Dansko shoe!

Just tried on my first pair, arrived overnight (thank you Zappos!), but the shoes hurt! They are running a full size small. I wear 10 US, ordered "up" in the 41 European, my foot doesn't go in all the way. The instep part really hurts, especially the tops of my feet (the left side hurts more than the right, weird). Not sure what everyone raves about; these will be going back. My feet cannot afford to be in pain while they "break in". On to the next perfect shoe in my quest for comfort.

Too small - The site suggested you purchase a 1/2 size smaller.Not true. Go bigger, especially if you have a wide foot.

I had a pair of these for several years. They wore out so I ordered a new pair. Dansko, what did you do to this show. It's like walking on a cement block, that's glued to your foot.
