I think these shoes are for wider feet. I have a narrow foot and high arch and I found these clogs to be clunky. I have a hard time hanging on to them too. Socks would help but I don't like the overall appearance of the width. I don't know how anyone could stand in these shoes all day at work either. They must have some tough, strong feet!

The shoes are not comfortable and I feel as though I am going to turn my ankle walking in them.

I have plantar fasciitis so the arch support is inadequate. The number one shoes for arch support across the board are vionic. In addition I have a tall top of my foot (perhaps in a shoe called the throat?) Dansko shoes have a small throat so if you have thick feet they kill the top of your foot after moments of wearing. I've discovered a shoe quality called "gore". If you get a shoe with gore (elastic on either sides or top of throat) then the throat is flexible enough for thick footed people. Dansko nailed it on appearance, but unfortunately a shoe has to be comfortable to all sides of the foot.

These shoes are very cute in the Black Patent Leather and they are comfortable for standing. These are the main reasons I am keeping them. However, I am still looking for truly comfortable clogs. This was my first time wearing Dansko and the footbed is quite hard, and also slippery due to the finish of the leather they use. I prefer a suede footbed, and a footbed with some cushioning. These have none of that and will take a lot of time to wear in. Also, the outer leather is also on the stiff side so my foot rubs a bit. I tried wearing without socks and ended up rubbing a callous off my toe which means my foot hurts and I have to travel soon. Have ordered a pair of Clarks clogs, hope they arrive today, and will be comfy enough. All my old clogs are beyond worn out. I long for the versions that were open back, heel cup but no irritating edge/bump up along the back of shoe, with good arch support and a cushioned foot bed.

These are beautiful shoes--look graceful on foot and flatter legs. But they are too loose up over arch and my heel doesn't consistently land on top of shoe's heel. Walking becomes perilous! Sad, but I must return them.

This is a nice looking clog-like shoe that makes the foot look small. Great if fashion is a high priority. The lining is stiff and not soft. The upper that goes around the top of the foot grips too tightly. The leather lining provides no grip and they moved forward off my feet because I did not wear socks. There is arch support. They did not flex with the movement of my foot. They feel hard when standing in them and are stiff and uncomfortable. I am a size 10 and the size 41 fit perfectly which is typical for me. I had a spinal fusion a few months ago and I stand on my feet 8 to 10 hours a day. I was looking for something that would provide more support than my running shoes. I’ve chosen the Alegria over these.

I have been wearing these for over 20 years. I love these shoes. The pair I just purchased do not fit properly - they are too big, no support, and rub my feet. Not at all happy with them. I can't return them as I have worn them outside, would otherwise.

These shoes are beautiful as long as you don't touch them & leave fingerprints. They also attract every piece of lent & hair like a magnet. The inside sole is so slick, no pair of socks I have make them feel secure while walking. The heel is hard. I wear a 6 to a 6.5 in summer shoes, that would be with one pair of thin socks for summer. The shoe comes in 5.5 to 6, or 6.5 to 7. I ordered the 6.5 to 7, because of the reviews I read that said they run small. It was a little too loose. I'm not going to try the smaller sz. because of how slick the inside sole is. The combination of slick inside sole, & a little too loose is disaster for me with an open heeled shoe. I needed a 6 to a 6.5 . I sure would like to have kept these, I love the look, but too many drawbacks. I checked true to size because the size I needed didn't exist, so they probably would be true to size as long as you didn't need between the sizes you have to choose from.

I am clearly in the minority here, but I had knee pain when I tried to walk in these. I do much better with the shoes with a bit of a wedge and prefer their look as well.

I have worn these for years and the fit has always been consistent but in the last couple of years they have changed. They changed the bottom and some of the shoes squeak. Beware, the squeak never goes away and is so annoying. They squeak on carpet, hardwood. It does not matter.

A beautiful shoe but not as comfortable on my foot as the Sanita. The Dansko is a little bigger shoe and I feel less agile in it than in the Sanita clog. I am returning the Dansko in favor of the Sanita. Thank you!

This is an update of my review of a couple months ago, where I wondered if Dansko had redesigned its soles again. No - I recently ordered a new pair of the Professionals, and they have that wonderful supportive bump under the arch that I love. Apparently the Sonja is a slightly different design. These are okay, but I do regret purchasing them because I had intended them as everyday around-the-house shoes, but they do not give me enough support for regular wear. I suffer from plantar fasciitis, and I'm beginning to think the Dansko Professional clogs are the only shoes I can wear regularly. Nice-looking shoes, but if you are a fan of the Professionals and really need super arch support, you may be disappointed.

I owned the exact same pair of Danskos several years ago and wore them until the heel was flat to the ground, well, almost. Something has changed. The arch support is not nearly as good, the leather is stiffer, or something, as there is no immediate comfort, and the look is not as cool. I have now tried Sanita clogs because of reading Zappos reviews and won't be wearing Danskos anymore.

Is the manufacturer different? I've had 3 pairs of Dansko Sonja, size 35, over the years. This was the first time, it didn't fit very well, nor did it feel as comfortable as the others. Usually, I feel like Cinderella, it fits perfectly--and is so comfortable. I asked for another pair, same size--and viola--a better fit, but not as comfortable as the other pairs I have worn in the past.

Not very comfortable - This shoe is beautiful, but not suitable to wear for long hours because it does not have a cushioned insole. The soles and insole are hard plastic. I was expecting something more comfortable all day. Very disappointing.

They Shouldn't Have Changed!! I had a wonderful pair of these shoes that I wore for...I don't know...8 years or so! Great look & comfort but eventually they had to be replaced. I was glad to find them here & ordered a pair with perfect confidence that they would be great, but Dansko has changed the foot bed of the clog & now they are too narrow!! I even went up a size to the mens Karl (same shoe) hoping they would be wider but they weren't. I was SO disappointed! Now I'm desperately searching for some good black clogs, but they're difficult to find in 11W even here at Zappos...

Sore feet - Great looking shoe! The first time I wore them they were really comfortable, but that was for an hour or two. I tried them for a 16 hour day, the reason I got them and my feet were so sore, I had to keep taking them off. Sadly they have been sent back. On a side note the Zappos service regarding these shoes has been excellent!

Great shoe - I love the Dansko Sonja, however this pair seems to be changing color, one looking dark brown and the other now looking cordovan red in spots. The leather does not seem to match.

Dansko Sonja - Danskos are always comfortable but I much prefer the closed heel version. I work in a large hospital and these slow me down because I have to grip my toes to keep them on my feet.

Not all Dansko Clogs Fit the Same! I ordered the Sonja clog because I already own the Cirque suede clog which is SO comfortable. Unfortunately, the fit is not the same. The Sonja is very stiff and much narrower, making my first day in them very uncomfortable, leaving me with several blisters. I am quite disappointed and doubt that I will be able to wear them at all.

Dansko Sonja...not for me! I've heard so many recommendations for Dansko shoes and I love clogs so I thought I would give these a try. They didn't work for me at all. The insoles are very hard and after wearing them all day, my feet were killing me. I did return them and, as usual, Zappos was wonderful about it!

Cute but uncomfortable - I bought the Dansko Sonja because I substitute teach and needed something rated comfortable. I wore them around the house, then to school the next day. No blisters, but just not very comfortable. Wore them to a big town for all day shopping and really wished I'd worn sneakers or something else. Once, I swung my legs out of the car and both shoes fell off!
