OK, I am a big fan of Sorel boots and I always wear a 6.5 These run HUGE. When I took them out of the box I assumed I was sent mens instead accidentally...nope, womens size 6.5. Fit my friend who wears a womens 8. Not sure what is up with that!

The tongue is unlined and unpadded, and so stiff that it's hard to lace them properly. Also needs more padding in the footbed. I walk 3/4 mile to and from work each day on pavement, definitely will NOT be doing it in these boots. I expected much more comfort from a boot at this price point (paid $90 for their now-defunct Cumberland II in 2014, a much more comfortable boot).

I bought these boots two years ago because my tall Ugg waterproof winter boots were a pain to get in and out of, and because the Sorels sole looked like it would be as good as the Uggs traction wise. After two seasons of wear, the Caribou started to let water in, they also didn't have as much traction as my Uggs when walking on icy patches of sidewalk. I sent them back to the manufacturer's warranty department (they are now made by Columbia) and it took them over a year to get me another pair. I have worn the replacement pair twice and they are letting in water! I would not recommend these boots. The only thing they have going for them is the removable liner and the ease with which one can take them on and off.

This boot is great for trekking through fresh powder in the woods and that is about it. Not a boot for city living or even for casual everyday winter wear. Absolutely no traction on any slippery surface - I've taken a couple nasty spills and nearly broke my wrist trying to catch myself simply walking across my parking lot. These boots are not very warm and the wide width makes them bulky and awkward for prolonged wear. I ended up purchasing another pair of winter boots with better traction, fit and warmth for everyday wear. My Sorel Caribou's are now used only for taking the dog outside when it's snowing heavily. Would not recommend these boots for anyone living in an actual winter climate.

I consulted the Sorel website and followed their sizing recommendations before ordering. The recommended size was huge on me. My feet are a bit narrow, but fairly average. The shoes are super heavy and bulky too. I was expecting this on some level, but was disappointed that these would add so much weight for outdoor adventures. I wasn't in love with the styling when they arrived so its not worth the effort to continue to find the right size.

Bulky and very heavy...felt like cement blocks on my feet!! I have an earlier version and they are narrower and lighter.

These are SO heavy! Find it very difficult to walk in them. They are relatively cute, warm and waterproof but it's a workout to try walk in these. Also cannot be worn for driving as you can't feel the pedals. I'll keep them for shoveling snow but not what I was looking for, for commuting back and forth to work and wearing throughout the work day.
