They are very big I would order a size and half from your normal shoe's. Definitely not as comfortable as the old pair I use to have. Lots of reviews say the rubber cracks with in a year. I believe it now that I have been wearing them. Probably won't buy ever again.

At the start of the second snow season, the rubber cracked on both sides of the sole leaking snow and water into the boot. That was a suprise, to say the least. I've repaired them several times, but they simply crack wherever the rubber flexes. I realize these aren't the most expensive boots, but all the way up through the 1990's these were the known as the best, longest lasting winter boots available. I thought these were still made in Canada, they are not. Time to start researching a different boot.

I bought these boots and as soon as I tried them on I knew there was no way I could walk comfortably in them. They are heavy and clunky. It felt like I was walking around in clown shoes filled with bricks. They seem to be made well and seem like they'd be able to withstand tough winters, but I couldn't see myself wearing these in public without being embarrassed of how huge they are.

I love Sorel boots and I should have listened to my gut and returned or exchanged these right away. They are so masculine and look oversized on my feet. I am a size 9 1/2. The insert falls out of both boots every single time I take them off which is really annoying. For the price, not worth it. Wish I picked a different pair. The quality of material seems good though.

While these are more than warm enough for cold weather, they are hard to walk in as there isn’t much flexibility in the sole. Very clunky. I work at a large teaching hospital and have to hoof it in every day about 8 city blocks in very cold winter weather from the parking structure to my unit....they are not distance friendly at all. But I returned these mostly because, after a beautiful snowfall the night before, I was about to take my pup out the next morning and realized the snow was much higher than these boots- we only got about 5 inches of snow yet had I trudged outside in these, I would’ve gotten snow inside the boots as there isn’t a tight seal even with the tie on top. Way too low to be a good snow boot. Needs an additional 6 inches to be good for Wisconsin winters. Went with the North Face Shellista IV Tall and they are amazingly warm and tall enough!!

Disappointed with these boots. Loved the styling in the picture but in real life they are so clunky! They look several sizes bigger on the outside than they actually are. I ordered a size 8.5 and they fit true to size but from the outside they made my foot look like a mans size 11. So heavy and clunky!

I wish I could keep these boots, but I just can't do it. I literally am walking around looking like I have clown shoes on. I've gotten 8.5 on a variety of different sorels in the past but these are as if my feet got extra wide and extra long. That being said, they are SO WARM AND SO COZY but as an everyday boot, even another size, I feel like I'd be tripping on my own feet.

I ordered this boot for my husband, who has worn sorels for years. the first pair we received had a bubble in the lining under the wool liner which he said was very uncomfortable and could feel it with every step. so I sent them back..The second pair/same exact style, also has a bubble in the lining of boot. He is not satisfied considering the cost of this boot. the quality/workmanship is not the same quality as in the past

I must have bought/received an inferior pair last year. I walked around on snow in 30F weather for 40 min and my feet (in a pair of wool socks) went cold and numb despite the legendary felt insoles/padding. I tried it again the next day with 2 pairs of wool socks on, same problem. I doubt they should be rated -40F. I have had other snow boots (lined with shearling) that kept me warmer in the snow. My husband's Caribous did not have this problem. I don't know why mine weren't reliable.

Don't get me wrong, these are excellent snow boots. BUT. They are warm to the point that I overheat and sweat, even in the Minnesota winter. They fit the length of my foot just fine, but there is a ton of room in the foot area. With each step my foot lifts from the bottom of the boot to the top and the boots slide up and down my legs. They are heavy such that I move slower than normal, and my legs hurt from having to lug around so much weight on my feet. I have to practically run to keep up with people.

These boots are warm and good for walking in unshoveled snow in terms of grips, BUT they add what feels like 5-8 lbs PER SHOE making walking anywhere a slow process. These boots are 2.5-3 times the width of my feet so I often end up hitting/kicking the shoes together when walking, which makes walking around in them that much more difficult. I honestly wish I returned them and got lighter/more manageable boots for walking around the city in the winter. I also have to wear very thick socks so I'm sliding around on the insides of the shoes. They run quite big in sizes.

I purchased a pair of these boots with the intention of wearing them for years with maybe a few new liners to keep them fresh. Well after about 4 months the right boot started to make a clicking sound when I walk, if I was in a store people would stare at me because it sounded like I have a peg leg. Now this season(13months later) my feet are freezing, my right boot liner was even frozen to the bottom of the boot when I tried to pull it out to put on my boot dryer. Today I noticed why I was having these issues, the sole has separated by my big toe on the right boot. I guess I should have looked at them closer while they were still under warranty? But, for the price of these things I didn't expect them to come apart in just a few months of actual use. I guess I'll be shopping other brands for now and would only buy another pair of these Sorel's if I can find them on a real good sale. I loved these boots but I cannot afford to buy a new pair every season.

I recently just bought these boots for myself. I typically wear a size 9.5-10 in normal everyday shoes (mainly Nike) so I thought I would also order these boots in a 9.5, since it's ratings were "True to size". Needless to say, these boots are not true to size. I tried them on once they arrived and they were at least whole size bigger. I was kind of bummed out because the next day it snowed and I wanted to wear these boots but I couldn't since I was returning these for a 8.5 size. The boot itself was great and a boot that will live up to its word but just too small. Now, patiently waiting for my new size boots to arrive!!

I was so looking forward to these boots. Let me just say they are very big and bulky. I honestly thought they accidentally sent me Men's boots when I pulled them out of the box. I ordered an 8 1/2 based on reviews. I am an 8 in everything. They were too big I believe. It was hard to tell because they are huge overall, and super heavy for me. I like the look.. just wish they were streamlined a bit I guess. If you are in SERIOUS weather, I am sure they would be super warm.

I am so disappointed with these boots. They protect against cold weather and snow, but they are way too big and way too bulky. I hate wearing them because it feels like my feet are going to slide right out of them. I would have exchanged them if I knew return was within 60 days. They are huge and very uncomfortable.

I had these boots for two winter seasons and cracks developed in the rubber causing it to open up. For price, these boots should last longer. While they lasted they were great, just expected more than two winter seasons of wear out of them.

I used to be a tremendous fan of Sorel, particularly the formerly tried and true Caribou. All through the 80s and 90s these were fantastic. But now, the rubber they use is garbage. It cracks in the first 6 weeks! I've gone through two pair in two seasons. The soles aren't even warn, but the sides have pulled away from the Uppers and the flex points (where your toes hit your foot, where they bend in each step) simply crack open! Terrible. The uppers are still great, the design is great, the self cleaning soles work beautifully, the liners are fine, but the Rubber is horrid. Surly they still know what their original recipe for rubber was... why not go back to that? How simple would that be? But for what ever reason, they are allowing their flag ship boot to become worthless. Buy something else.

I really wanted these boots to last the rest of my life, really! I wanted to be one of the people that you see at the mountain, at the bar, in the yard, at the post office wearing my beloved Sorels. However, I hardly even used these at all until they started leaking. I began using them to slip on and off to feed my dogs outside, and before I knew it, they leaked. They leak in the rain, in the snow, everywhere! I wish my feet would stay dry, I love the look!

I'm not sure if the size was marked wrong, but I ordered a women's 8 and they are GIGANTIC! They seem like a men's 8 but the receipt and box say women's. They are great quality and seem warm and durable, however, I will be exchanging them for a sleeker, less heavy boot and hopefully it will be true to size.

The quality and construction of this boot is great. However, this boot is enormous! It is quite wide and runs long. I also have the Tofino have boot so ordered the same size. I could easily have ordered a half to a whole size smaller. Be warned this is also a very clunky, heavy boot, not one you would want to wear for hours on end. Unfortunately, I will return this boot.

OK, I am a big fan of Sorel boots and I always wear a 6.5 These run HUGE. When I took them out of the box I assumed I was sent mens instead accidentally...nope, womens size 6.5. Fit my friend who wears a womens 8. Not sure what is up with that!

The tongue is unlined and unpadded, and so stiff that it's hard to lace them properly. Also needs more padding in the footbed. I walk 3/4 mile to and from work each day on pavement, definitely will NOT be doing it in these boots. I expected much more comfort from a boot at this price point (paid $90 for their now-defunct Cumberland II in 2014, a much more comfortable boot).
