Seems to run large - I usually wear 7.5, but ended up being happy with a 6.5 Caribou boot.
I'm very pleased with my purchase - the boot has excellent grip on ice and so far is waterproof and toasty warm.

I got these for my husband using your foot measuring guide, which woukd be correct, except that he has a very high arch and could not get them on. If he took the liner out, he could get the boot on and the length was right. He could not even get the liner alone on his foot. We will have to return these and see if a larger size works. Hope so, because he loved them.

These boots are warm. So warm that you can wear them on the moon and only be slightly cold. Like, barely even notice cold. I've done it and only had a slight chill. That's obviously very warm. They keep snow out and the rubber repels water which is the coolest thing about rubber. Plenty of traction with the sole. I didn't slip on the ice, not even once.

Overall, I like the boots. They are very toasty and I love the colors. The only thing keeping me from totally loving them is that they are a little too roomy, feeling more like a 7.5 than a 7. This makes an already bulky boot feel exceptionally bulky.

I bought these boots online after trying several pairs of Sorel and non-Sorel boots at a local EMS. The Sorel's were the last pair I tried, but the EMS didn't stock Sorel in half sizes (I needed a 10.5).
The boot runs true to size and accommodates my _very_ wide foot. They're a little heavy, but they keep your feet very warm and dry. They also have good grip on the snow and ice. A double knot is a must when wearing them. But overall, they appear to be a good quality boot. I am pleased with the purchase.

Ordered for my daughter as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately the sizing was off and the boots were just too big for her.

I'm 5'3 and 120 pounds and wear a size 8 usually (I followed the reviews after researching extensively) and sized down to a 7 (glad I did, they fit perfect!). I just tried them out in our recent snow and the traction functioning is fabulous and my feet stay warm. My only complaint is that they are heavy boots. Maybe once I get to the gym some more I won't notice so much, but for being out of shape, I am currently feeling it! Thanks for a good product!

I found these boots to be incredibly heavy and big looking on. If you're not walking far with them and need a really rugged boot, then these could work great. They are well made and stylish for what they are. However, I was looking for a lighter, slimmer-lokoing boot that I could use for snowshoeing, walking around in snowy wx, etc.

These boots sure feel pretty heavy comparing to my Hunter boots. The interior is extremely comfortable and warm. Just like many reviewers have mentioned, the front part of the shoes are made wide so it feels a bit weird. It's sort of made me feel like I have duck feet. The shoes does feel at least half size bigger. I wore my ski socks and it fits perfectly.

I'm in love with these boots BUT I should have ordered 1/2-1 full size smaller. They make my feet look obnoxiously big and unless if I have 2+ pairs of socks on my feet slide around in them. I planned on taking out the liner and wearing them like rain boots during the summer months but I don't see that happening. But on a good note they're sturdy, warm, and waterproof which is what I wanted.

These boots do an excellent job of keeping feet warm.
I outfit kids for a wilderness therapy program in Northern Wisconsin, and these are what we use the entire winter.
We have never had a cold weather injury while using these boots.
The removable liners are essential to keeping feet warm and dry, as well as the fact that the boot is quite waterproof.
The only downside is that they only seem to last one season, with continual wear and use. The liners last as long as the boot, and are easily replaceable. Unfortunately, after about 6 months of daily wear, the rubber at the sides of the boot where it bends when you step starts to develop cracks that eventually turn into full blown holes, at which point you need new boots.
Overall, a good boot that will keep your feet dry and warm.

They feel heavier than expected, hope caked on snow doesn't make me wish I didn't get them. The arch support is incredibly prominent, which I'm not used to. Looking forward to cold weather to prove these to be a good investment.

I love these boots, but since I'm an 8 1/2 and there are no half sizes, I sized down to an 8 thinking they would be a bit big and bulky. Plus, my husband has the same boots in size 10, which is his size, but noticed that they ran big on his feet. As a result, I sized down and unfortunately they were too small. I'm sending them back for a 9. Why doesn't Sorel make these in 1/2 sizes?

These shoes are very stylish and sturdy and warm, however, they are also very heavy - seems like I'll have to spend my first few snowstorms getting used to walking in them before I feel comfortable.

I read the reviews before purchasing boots for my wife. I have Sorel boots that I bought in 2012 and I love them, they fit perfectly. Other reviews on the woman's boot said they were very difficult to put on and take off. Luckily my wife has a small foot and ankle/calf or else we would have to return this boot as well. I just don't understand how so many people can have the same issue yet Sorel hasn't made the necessary changes. The boot is tight on my wife by she is going to put up with it. Its not actually the boot but the insert that is the issue. Why won't someone take the bull by the horns and fix this??

These are great boots. My first pair lasted 30 years. However I have a hard time getting them off.I got a half size larger but I keep pulling the liners out when I take them off.I think the instep is too tight.

I bought a pair for my girlfriend. She needed a waterproof, winter boot with a high traction sole to walk our dogs in the mountains around Park City, UT. She chose the Men's Caribou because they're have the 'dimpled' sole and are about 1 inch taller than the Women's Caribou and offered a bit of extra room for warm socks.
So far, she's very happy with gray color, the high traction, and warm toes. In the future I might give them 5 stars, but can't until we can evaluate their longevity.

These boots are great. Only issue was the sizing -- if in doubt when ordering, size slightly larger than you think you need. I'm usually a 7, but my toes are right at the end of these boots (without thick socks).

I purchased these for a trip to Vermont and to have a decent pair of snow boots when shoveling snow - it seems to be snowing much more here in NJ than last year. I am so used to shoveling in rain boots that allow my feet to freeze and hurt after 10 minutes, even with thick socks on. When I wore these, they kept my feet warm all day. They run a little big. I usually range between a 7.5 and an 8. I ordered an 8 and found them still a little roomy. The only thing I didn't like was that they were heavy, but that could be because I'm used to wearing cheap rain boots. If you're looking for a boot to keep your feet warm in the cold weather, I definitely recommend these.

I usually wear an 8, but I followed the other reviewers' suggestions and purchased a 7. The boots themselves are huge, but they are a great fit with the lining. Getting my feet in and out of the lining takes several minutes, but the boots are warm and a great value.

I own a pair of size 8 Sorels in a different style so I ordered these in a size 8. Disappointed that they were too small. Currently no size 8 1/2 available. The quality of the boots is exceptional, very disappointed that I couldn't put them to use right away.

These are great boots. I spent my first day wearing them at a festival on a frozen lake and my feet never got cold and they look very good too. I thought Sorels ran big so i bought size eleven since i wear 10 1/2. I was wrong. The 10 fit better so I traded them out. My only issue is the right boot liner is fitting poorly against my ankle an causes some discomfort. Hoping it goes away with time.

Awesome warm stylish boots, that'll keep your feet warm and dry. They remind me of garden boots, but less rubber and more fur. When I put them on for the first time, I realized how wide they are. I usually have a snug fit for size 9, but these gave about a 1/3 inch of extra room. I definitely recommend them for cold weather, walking around while there's snow.
