Just received these, so I can't really speak about wear, I am a size 8.5 so I ordered 9's, which were much too long and wide. Exchanged for 8's which are perfect even with thick socks, although I'm not sure thick socks are req'd with the warm liner.

I bought these in 1980, and they are still in perfect shape. I wore them for many years during Montana winters and now they are seeing New England. Frankly I'm sick of them and want a new style but after 31 years, there is not a thing wrong with them and they are warm even without socks!

Very good boot. Warm and comfortable. Felt a little small. The liner will come out when you take the boots off, which would be a pain, but they slide right back in. Overall comfort and warmth make this a great boot!

I am pleased that these boots are not as heavy as I expected. My foot slips in nice and easy. I will be testing out this boot as soon as the snow and ice arrive. I will not be falling this year with these boots.

I normally wear a 7.5, so I ordered an 8, which fit with thick socks. These are so warm, the thick socks are not necessary, so I ended up returning for the 7. I do wish they had the half size. These are a bit heavy, but you get used to it pretty quickly. I ordered the shale/stone color, and I think they are about as attractive as snow boots get! Also, I typically don't like removable liners because they never go back in right... didn't have that problem with these - held their shape, and slipped right back in.

I ended up going with tried and true Sorel for travel in rural Alaska. While I loved the lighter, sexier, Patagonia Lugano Lace boot, I knew I needed a super rugged boot for -40. Also, I can replace the felt lining. Bought my first pair in 1986.

I have yet to take these out but it's already love. Bought a few pairs of boots to try...many were cuter but these are the true winner! So plush, so cushy, so toasty, and so functional! They're not cute. They make me look like Bigfoot. But with a Montana winter coming up, who gives a rodent rump? They feel well constructed and I'm looking forward to getting at least 4 or 5 long snowy winters of backcountry stomping and cleaning off the car!

These fit great for winter boots! I like the color and the style. The liner is removable which is great if it gets wet. I'm excited to test these out in the snow and cold this winter!

These are really huge boots. They are definitely rugged, too rugged for everyday use, so I am returning them. They look to be of high quality and they were very comfortable.

I read reviews saying these ran big and to go a size smaller. I wear an 8.5/9, so I ordered the 8....it was too small. I exchanged for the 9 and it fits great...FYI.
The Caribou is an amazing boot and there is really nothing more to say other than what everyone already knows about it: it's an outstanding boot with incredible comfort and functionality. I've been craving these boots for many years and I finally got them. I live full-time in Orange County, so the last thing I really NEED are these boots, but I am thrilled to finally have them, as I grew up in a snowy region and vacation there often. There is just something about owning a great and tough pair of snow boots. If you are trying to decide between which boots to get..go with these, they're such a classic.

I love these boots but its slippery sole made it impossible for me to wear in the city. Do not wear these boots if you will be walking on slippery surfaces. I almost fell a number of times when walking in subway stations. Then I fell down a flight of stairs and broke my tailbone. All because the sole has no traction on wet surfaces. They are great for treking outside but that is it. Inside it feels like you are trying to walk on oil. That iss too bad because the rest of the boot is great.

I absolutely LOVE these boots! They're so well made, fashionably black, tough enough for the streets of NYC, super warm, and they will kick the butt of any blizzard! Bring it on, Mother Nature!!

Perfect fit, warm, definitely need to fit your boot a 1/2-1 size up for perfect comfort especially with thicker socks during the colder months. Can't wait to wear them this winter as snow is already falling in the Eastern Sierra's.

These boots are the best snow boots hands down: total classic, cool styling. My feet have never been cold or wet in these despite stomping through snow piles and slush puddles. The only complaint is sizing. I'm an 8 or 8.5 usually. The 8 is just a tad too small, but the 9 is enormous. I ended up going with the 8 because I love the boots, and I just trip over myself in the 9. I wish they came in half sizes.

I haven't gotten to try these in the snow yet, but I can't wait. They seem to have a super great tread and are super insulated and warm when I wear them. I was worried that the seam between the rubber and the fabric upper would be stiff and bothersome, but I can't even feel it when I wear them. They look so great, I can't wait till the snow flies!

I love the boots, I haven't worn them in the snow and cold yet, but even though they are not "frilly" the white fluffy part at the top does give it a bit of a feminine touch. I have big calves, and they fit lower than the Joan of Artic boot (which I thought made my leg look enormous; it is higher on the leg and all the fluff at the top !!!!!).

Just recieved them and love them! I ordered a half size bigger than I usually wear and they fit perfectly. I ordered them in the Shale stone, the picture made it look like the bottom stripes were more grey than white, but they are in fact white. I am still very satisfied with my purchase.

This is my second pair of these - I'm so glad they come in different colors! I'm an 8.5, ordered a 9. Perfect with thick socks. Definitely big clunky boots - great for trudging through snow, rain, or in the mud with the horses. My first choice to keep my feet warm and dry.

This is a preliminary review of fit and comfort, having just received the boots. I am a wide size 8. I ordered the boots in a size 8 because I plan on wearing them with thick winter socks, I was pretty sure a whole size smaller would be too narrow for my wide toes, and I would rather have my winter boots be a little roomy than too tight. I have found that too-tight boots do a poor job of keeping feet warm. These fit me very well. In the thin socks I wore today, my heels are not slipping out of place. I can wiggle my toes with ease. I think that with thick socks on, they will be absolutely perfect. People with narrow feet or people who are a half size might want to go down in size. The tops of the boots rub a bit on bare legs, but they will be fine with pants tucked into them or with tights on, I believe. They do not look trendy, but they do look classic.

I bought these boots out of necessity. A real Chicago winter is headed my way! The boots fit appropriately, and I am glad to know that the liner is removable for temp fluctuations. I have not needed to test their warmth, but I don't doubt Sorel. They are not cute, but they function well and the look could be, a lot worse!

Yes, they run larger (not longer but wider) than normal shoes. But considering they are snow boots, they run true to size. I ordered one size smaller after reading reviews, ended up exchanging to my regular size. Because they were too short and I could not wear any socks. I do not know if they last over the years since I have not worn them outside yet. But it's sad if it is true that Sorel has changed the material cheaper recent years, they do not last long. Anyway, happy with the product so far.

These are very comfortable, but they are a bit heavier than my previous pair. For the average person, the weight would probably not matter, but I wear mine every day for eight hours for work so it was more noticeable. Despite this they are very comfortable and warm.

I love these boots. My last pair of similar Sorels lasted for 20 years. I ordered another make but returned them for this one because it is lighter weight. They are easy to slide into for quick runs out to the barn if you leave the laces adjusted loose. In high snowfalls, you just have to lace them tight and the trim keeps the snow out. The uppers are narrow enough to fit inside of insulated snow pants. There is room to tuck my blue jeans inside. I use them in late fall as horse trailer camping slippers because they repel the heavy dew on the grass and during the night I can put my bare feet into the soft, thick felt for quick trips outside without drenching my riding shoes. They hose off while you are standing in them which makes them an easy mud/muck boot for the slush season. I used them as a snow hiker when clearing trails in winter. They are warm and comfy and dry even with feet that perspire a lot. I am an exact size 9.5 and ordered a 9.0 after reading reviews that they run large. I have to return them for a size 10 because my toes hit the front in light hiking socks. So, I don't agree that they run large. Give yourself plenty of toe room so that you can wear them loose most of the time!

Just tryed my Boots on this Morning, They are snug( but after a few wears, I am sure they will loosen up a little bit).. I think they will be fine...It is 90 degrees here, so I will not be wearing them any time soon...(only to break them in) This is my first pair of Sorel Boots ,After the winter we hate last year, I am really hoping they stand up to their claims..I hate having cold wet feet!!! Check back with me this winter..and I will give you my full claims to how I like them, and how they stand up ..

This boot looks cute but it is a man's boot, what feels like and looks like they took a man's boot and are selling it as a woman's boot. I wear a 10, the boot was huge and wide, and felt like I had lead feet. If you take out the fur lining than it just rubber inside, it looks cute in the picture but trust me when I say this not a woman's boot. I returned immediately. My husband did like for himself.
