I do wish I would have gone down a 1/2 size smaller, but once I have heavier socks on I think they will be fine. These boots are so warm and will be perfect for cold weather days!

I generally wear a size 7 in boots, but from reading the other reviews and following the sizing chart, I ordered a 6.5, it fits like an 8. I'm having issues finding a store near me as well to exchange them. The boot itself seems very nice, durable, and warm. Like it could really do a great job getting me through the tough Minnesota winter, if only I could put them to use.

I really wanted to like these, but unfortunately, they are going back! I was debating between the Caribou & Winter Carnival styles, and I ended up getting these because I wanted them in a certain color which the Winter Carnival doesn't offer. I normally wear a size 8 and had to get these in a 7.5. With regular socks on, they still feel a little loose, but it might be too small if I size down to a 7. I could live with how big they are; the problem is that they are HEAVY. My legs got a workout just trying them on around my apartment! So sadly, they're going back.

I was looking for a fashionable, waterproof winter boot to wear in the snow with my kids. I normally wear an 8.5 but measured my foot according to instructions and ordered an 8. They fit perfectly. They are heavy, as other reviewers have said. These boots are not meant as an everyday fashion boot. They will keep you warm and dry and look cute doing so!

These boots were so cute online, but very wide, heavy & huge in person. Wider than my Uggs! I usually wear a 7.5 & ordered a 7.5. I could easily wear a 7 or 6.5 in this boot. Looks like it would be a great "Heavy Snow" boot. Purchased for a ski trip, but returning for a slimmer & lighter Sorel boot.

These boots will keep your feet super warm and dry. They are super heavy duty and thick. They kinda feel like wearing snowboard boots. I wouldn't recommend them for everyday walking around.

This is quite the crazy size issue. I've seen most reviews state that these run big and I whole-heartedly AGREE! I'm surprised some people have found that these run small at all. These were so large that my husband, who wears a 10.5 in mens could wear them and I ordered an 8.5 in womens! Not only are they big in length they are very wide too! I'd like to say that it just leaves room for large, warm socks for extra warmth, BUT I can't even walk in them without the toes hitting the ground every time! Haha. I felt like a little kid trying on their parents shoes. I'm going to exchange them for a smaller size, but I honestly don't know if that'll be helpful. Also, to be clear, I would consider the size difference I'm experiencing to be at LEAST 2 sizes bigger than true. And I've been a solid 8.5 for decades.

Warm! No arch or ankle support. They'll be great for my move further north and I'm sure I'll never get cold toes.

These boots are perfect for snow, a little bulky, but not too heavy! I would recommend sizing a half or full size down, even with thick socks my regular size was too big.

I live at 10,000 ft with 6-8 months of winter and have been looking for a decent boot for while. These boots run big. I normally wear 7.5 and was told to buy a size 8 and they were huge, so I had to exchange them. I don't believe they are true to being rated to -45 degrees. Whether I'm standing or sitting ice fishing, my feet are almost always cold unless I'm constantly moving. I recently ordered the higher rated inserts and hope they help. These boots are pretty heavy compared to Muck Artic boots and other common brands. Overall, I still like them but wish they came a little warmer and were a little lighter.

Perfect ski resort winter wear. This is the Colorado mountain town local's choice winter footwear. Works for shoveling the driveway, work, and a night out on the town. You can tell who is local by what they are wearing. The ski resort I work at stocks these in the employee company store. I just bought a new pair cause my old ones were done after three seasons. The rubber uppers just started splitting open. The soles and leather still looked new. The size is true to fit. One can wear a pair of nice thick wool blend socks with your feet. My feet do start to get cold in them when the temp is 30 to 40 degrees below zero. It was minus 45 the other week in the Fraser Valley. The traction is great in the snow. I add some Yak Trax for walking on ice. I'm glad the ski resort stocks these at employee pricing. They keep your feet warm at work.

So this is a great winter boot and serves its purpose especially living in New England. They are a clunky looking. I'm a size 7 but when I look down at my feet they look quite large in these boots. I also feel like I might walk a little funny in them since they are a heavy boot. Trekking through the snow and ice is what I bought them for and these boots accommodate that.

Needing a quality and budget-friendly boot in a large size (12) I am often limited in options. I wanted to buy a Sorel boot soon after after reading about the company's exceptional history and reputation for quality. What sealed the deal for me were the comments on the Caribou fitting true to size or slightly larger, a needle in a haystack find for a size 12 girl like me. Overall my experience with the boots has been great. I've had them for a little more than a month and have had only minimal, insignificant complaints (listed as my cons). At times, even living through a Michigan winter, I think I could have bought one of Sorel's "less sturdy" or less warm styles for my casual needs (car>office, shoveling, short walks) as the Caribou truly exceeded my expectations for warmth and durability. Pros: Very warm, Excellent fit (room for thick socks), Removable inserts Cons: Heavy, Feet look larger, Moderate ankle movement restriction

These are the first snow boots that I have ever owned, but I have had many waterproof hiking boots worn with very thick wool socks in the past. These are so clunky and big they made me feel like bigfoot. My feet are not narrow, my feet are not small, so it is definitely the boots. These are great if you live in Alaska I guess, but for tooling around in the snow in Yosemite, they are not the thing, unless you are planning to inhabit the snow, I guess. But not walking boost, really. They are way heavy and clumsy.

I typically wear a 9 shoe and dress boot. I ordered these boots in a sizes 9, 8.5 and 8. They were huge, even with a nice ski sock. I ended up buying a size 7 boot which works well with a ski sock. I love these boots but did find they run very big....and there's not much difference between a full size and half size. I feel these boots run a little wide in the toe box but I'd rather have them a little wide than too narrow, particularly when wearing them to walk or snowshoe. I live in the mountains of Colorado and these boots are very, very popular. They are definitely warm!

Ordered the boots for Christmas... My daughter loves them and was excited to wear them right away, however they are to big. She wears a 6.5 in UGG and Nike, however it seems as though I should have ordered a 5.5. We are going to try them on in person then return them. Love these boots.

These boots are GREAT for heavy duty snow, they keep your feet very warm and dry. We just got about a foot of snow and I walked about a mile to the store and back in these boots, not once were my feet cold or wet. My only complaint is that they are kind of heavy, and make your feet look larger then the average snow boot. My legs are sore today from walking in these boots so much yesterday, they are almost like wearing ankle weights. The first few times that you wear them you will feel very clumsy. I also do not like to drive in these boots because they are so big they are awkward to drive in, I am afraid that I will hit the wrong pedal by accident. However if you want a solid snow boot to actually utilize in the snow it is a great fit.

These are my first pair of Sorel boots and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I was nervous because I wasn't sure what size I should order; I generally wear a size 7.5 in most shoes, occasionally I will need an 8 because my feet are a bit wide. I ordered the size 7 and they fit perfect. I wore them with a thinner sock and they fit great. I was finally able to wear my boots today. I received them back in early November but winter has taken its time getting here in Massachusetts! The boots kept my feet quite warm while I was out shoveling. The boots didn't feel heavy or clunky, they are a bit bulky but they serve their purpose. My only complaint is that they seemed to dig in a bit at the top of my ankle/bottom of my calf but I'm hoping once I wear them a bit more and break them in, that shouldn't be a problem. Great product and I look forward to purchasing more boots in the future

Let me start off by saying that I do like these boots. They are very warm and comfortable. The liner is nice and not too fuzzy except for the very top portion and that is nice at the top of the boot so it doesn't rub the leg. The boot is really wide and large. They obviously are too much for what i need in the south and visiting Park City once a year. Unfortunately no where around me had these to try on or see in person before i purchased though. But with that being said, I do recommend them. They were warm and well worth the money for my recent trip to Park City. They are heavy so don't plan on wearing them day in and day out. These are more for occasional use or intended for simple walking in snow/icy conditions. I did go snowshoeing in these and it made the workout that much better....so there is that if you want more weight and better workout. All in all great boot and would be amazing for people with heavy snow. If i had time i would have exchanged for another boot that isn't as wide and heavy.

Love the boots for the Michigan Upper Peninsula weather. But they definately ran big. My daughter ordered her normal shoe size then we read reviews and ordered a whole size smaller, but could have used another half size smaller as well.

Liked these boots, but felt self-conscious about how large my feet looked in them! I felt like a clown. I really wanted to love them, but they were even bulkier than I was expecting and I ultimately returned them. They were warm and cozy though! I am recommending them for those who want a sturdy, heavy snow boot (not those who want something to wear with jeans or leggings for everyday use)!

After a horrendous NYC winter last year, I decided to invest in a pair of legit winter boots so my poor toes don't freeze off. Of all the winter boots out there, Sorel really has some of the nicest looking ones, including this. Unfortunately, I decided to return it for the following reasons: - I'm petite so these boots look HUGE on me - They're really heavy and you feel like you're getting a work out. I only had them on for a few min. trying them out so I can't even imagine what a few hours will feel like I realize that's it's built that way to keep your feet warm but for me, I just need something lighter and less bulky. Luckily, I found another pair of Sorel boots that alleviated the 2 issues below. It's the Sorel Women's 1964 Pac Graphic 15 Boot. Much lighter and it didn't make me feet like ridiculous. Also, those boots keep your feet warm up to -25 degrees F whereas these boots can go up to -45 degrees F.
