I have fallen on the ice this Winter twice when wearing other boots. I must say that with my Caribous I tromp through snowbanks and across ice just fine! I did notice that they are a bit clunky and heavy at first but once you get used to them they are perfect. They are a bit hard to drive in but it's just like high heels, once you learn it's easy to do. I wear them to commute to work, I wear them to walk the dog, to shovel and to hike in! My feet are always dry and warm and comfortable. I would suggest ordering a half size bigger because my feet are always an 8 but they are snug. Enjoy!

I've been trying to convince my wife that she needed a pair of these boots for years. She is an event planner and is always outside and she is always cold. I finally went ahead and got her a pair. She is in the midst of a two weekend Ice Festival and she loves the boots. She says that she can now stay outside all day without her feet going numb. I am a photographer and I wore mine while I was in Grand Teton National Park while it was -28F. Feet were toasty warm and they have good grip in deep, crunchy snow.

I purchased these right before we got hit with a blizzard here in Chicago. I received them after the storm. Perfect timing because we got 21 inches of snow! I'm a size 7 but ordered a 6 because I tried on a Sorel boot at a department store and knew they run big. When I first tried them on I was nervous because the liner was really tight. It felt too small but I wore them around the house to break them in. The liner loosened up and the fit was perfect. They feel a little heavy at first but you get use to it and they become more flexible after a few uses. I'm a little bummed that the snow has melted! I wanted to wear my boots a little longer. I received alot of compliments and they look really cute with skinny jeans.

I bought my first pair in 1983. After 28 years of hunting, ice fishing, hiking and otherwise enjoying tough Wisconsin winters, I can honestly say that my feet have never -- and I mean never -- been cold in these boots. Nearly broke my heart to replace them, but I finally just wore them out. Bought my last pair recently -- I won't live long enough to wear them out. These are the finest boots made. Period.

I just received my boots last week and have worn them several times already and have only good things to say about them! First of all, the boots definitely run large. I am usually an 8 and ordered a 7 as I knew that they tended to run a bit large, this was a very good decision. I did find that the boots were a bit stiff when first trying them on however this was cured with in the first wear of the boots. I have been out several times snowshoeing, walking, and in the snow and my feet have not been close to chilly, the boots are very very warm! I look forward to spending the rest of the winter in these awesome boots!

I am a normal 7 7.5 shoe size..Figured I would go with the 8. I ordered the 8 and they were tremendous. I then order the 6 because there was no way the 7 would fit..I knew it..The 6 came and they fit perfect. I LOVE THEM...If you are an 8 but a 7. If you're a 7, buy a 6. Love them and wouldn't trade them for the world.

It has been too long since I have had a pair of Sorel Caribou's to wear as I work and enjoy the season of snow. Now I am back, and oh so happy.

thanks for the boots . 2 pairs for me and my husband. I just guessed at the size, knowing I would wear thick socks with them. They are perfect. easy lace, easy to pull on and off. sturdy construction. really warm, high enuf lugs to step into deep puddles on the melting street curb. good traction. what else, Oh, yeah, I like the colors we got. brun and tan.

These boots definitely run big (I'm a size 10 and my feet are wide but based on other reviews I ordered a 9 and it's perfect). They are cute, comfortable and warm. Highly recommend.

Got these as a Christmas present and my brother got me my regular size 6 in them. I must say that they run a little big, and I like my boots snug so I ordered a 5 and I think they fit great! So warm that sometimes I wish we would get 12 inches just so I had an excuse to wear them everyday! A little stiff at first but easy to get used to! I love them!

These are good boots. They are good looking, well made, water proof and warm. I use them during winter outings with the scout troop, clearing snow, ice fishing and snow shoeing. I wear a medium weight wool sock leaving room for my foot to move just a little. I recommend putting Caribou's on just before heading into the cold. If you need to travel before going out wear travel shoes. When you arrive, change socks and then put on your Sorel's. You will start with dry socks and your feet will stay warm and dry! I recommend these boots to others and bought a pair for my son as well.

These boots are tremndous. I bought my last pair while living in the Adirondack Mtns in 1980. I kept that same pair until now, thirty years!!! This might be the last pair of boots I buy, not because of the quality, but just because I might not live long enough to buy another. They are great and wouls recommend them highle to anyone that needs to keep their feet warm

these are quite big and bulky, but they're also not for a fashion show - they're for facing the snow. i thought i was superwoman when i went out for the first time to tackle the weather. i slipped on ice right away - haha. but in the snow these are amazing. if you have had a rough winter like we have up in the north east then these are a must. i typically wear a 6.5 or 7 shoe and the 7 in these boots are perfect. run wide.

I got these boots after hosting an outdoor winter party where my feet felt so frozen I didn't completely enjoy myself... now that I have these Caribou boots, I feel like my toasty toes could stand many days in the outdoors with no worries! I tested them this past weekend snowmobiling - they are just awesome and I look forward to years of warm feet!

I purchased these boots this winter after my husband bought a men's pair and thought they were fantastic. He was right! We are having a horrible winter on the East Coast. I found the boots I had were ridiculously inadequate. The Sorel Caribou boot is just what I need. Great fit, traction and insulation. I had to do alot of work outside to help get snow and ice off the roof. These boots were awesome!! They didn't fall off my feet when I was navigating my way through the waist deep snowdrifts. Highly recommend!!

With an impending snowstorm coming, and having no waterproof cold weather boots, I ordered my Sorels and could not be happier! I originally tried on a pair in a store, however, true to my size. They were quite large, so I ordered a pair one size smaller and they fit great. They were a bit awkward to put on at first, but you get used to it. With these boots I my feet stay toasty and dry, even in below zero weather and two feet of snow. I would highly recommend them! I also am confident they will last a long long long time!

These boots are unreal. I have lived in Ohio for 5 years, and every winter I would put myself through unnecessary suffering due to having my feet get cold. I used to shovel snow in my Nike shoes for crying out loud. But not anymore! I asked my brother-in-law who is a professional rock climber and sales rep for different outdoor companies what the best winter boots under $150 were, and he said the Sorel Caribou. And he is right! These boots are amazing! My feet have not been cold ever since I got them, and so far we've had a snow storm where I saw 6-8 inches of snow, and now an ice storm! I am wearing these boots EVERY day. The only thing is I wish I had gotten a smaller size, but apart from that, they are unbelievably fantastic. You will not be disappointed. I promise you. Thanks Sorel!

I bought these to replace a pair of Sorel boots I bought about 14 yrs ago in a similar style. Don't get me wrong, I still wear them- you can't wear them out! I wanted to get a new pair as now I am working in brutally cold temperatures and needed a newer updated boot with all the latest fabrics and technologies infused into them to keep my feet their warmest in below 0 degree temperatures. My feet don't even know it's that cold outside when I'm out there, as they keep them incredibly warm. They are the most comfortable boot I have ever owned, and they are true to size, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. I highly recommend these boots. You won't be disappointed.

I live on Long Island (NY) and we have gotten 7 snow storms since Dec 26, most of them 8 inches and more. The last one was 16.5 inches. That's huge for this area. I am so glad I bought these boots. The fit great and keep my feet toastie warm and dry!

Just moved to the frozen winter wasteland that is Cleveland, Ohio from the milder climate of Washington, D.C. and my old hiking boots that have worked well for the past decade couldn't handle the winter up here. These boots are warm, waterproof, and keep the snow out. Great for walking dogs (and traversing the sidewalks that nobody cares to clean) and shoveling the snow that never seems to end. Despite being a bit heavy after a long walk, they do a great job and I would recommend to anyone who isn't acclimated to the cold.
