I bought your caribou men's boots about 4 years ago and it is a fantastic product. My feet fit comfortably and stay dry. I love that the lining comes out. I just wish your manufactured it in the USA.

I love this boot but it is a size to large. I usually take a women's size 9 and I should of ordered a size 8. I can deal with it because I put on a heavier sock than I would like but other than that they are wonderful.

Love this boot. Hiking, snowshoeing it's perfect, and excellent traction (recent ice Storm proved that). I should have bought a half size down though, this is big even with thick socks. Overall this is a perfect boot. Lining very nice too. Hits well in mid calf for tucking in or leaving pants out.

I am so disappointed with these boots. They protect against cold weather and snow, but they are way too big and way too bulky. I hate wearing them because it feels like my feet are going to slide right out of them. I would have exchanged them if I knew return was within 60 days. They are huge and very uncomfortable.

I love these boots. They are so comfy, warm and have great traction. We've had an unprecedented amount of snow in my town this year and these are fabulous for the grocery and shoveling the walk!

I bought these boots for an ice fishing trip in the UP and boy did they perform like a champ! I had to walk through a foot of snow to get to the lake, then once on the ice, there was about 4 inches of snow on top of 4 inches of slush. I mention this because for 4 hours, I was standing in ice cold slush on top of a frozen lake. And where my feet got a little chilly towards the end with one pair of socks, they did not really get uncomfortably cold. They stayed nice and toasty. They were waterproof so nothing got in. MY socks never got a bit of anything on them. Worth every penny. If you think you'll be in snow or told temps, these are the perfect go-to boot. I will warn, they are a bit heavy. But you get used to them on your feet.

I bought these boots for going ice fishing because my other boots wouldn't keep my feet warm and I absolutely love them. My feet never get cold in these with a pair of wool socks. I can be outside in cold temperatures fishing without my feet freezing. The only thing I would recommend is going a half size down with your shoe size. I usually wear a size 9, and I bought a size 8.5 and they fit perfectly. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who has to be outside for a long time in these cold temperatures!

I've worn Sorels for years and needed a new pair. This pair runs a full size larger than my old Joan of Arcs. My son has similar ones to these and I wonder if they are actually unisex sized. These are heavy - but so were the Joan of Arcs. I wanted something less fussy and more rugged for the MN winter which as of late is more icy than snowy. The grips on the bottom work well when slippery. I ordered a second, different pair that are less bulky than this style for everyday running around.

I had these boots for two winter seasons and cracks developed in the rubber causing it to open up. For price, these boots should last longer. While they lasted they were great, just expected more than two winter seasons of wear out of them.

I purchased these boots after debating between the Tofino and Caribou and finally decided on the Caribou as it was rated for colder weather. I wear a size 10 and ordered that size as I like to wear thicker socks and couldn't be happier. These were comfortable from the minute I slid my foot in and my toes were toasty, too! We have been experiencing an unusually cold winter and these are functional, cute and warm.

I had this style boot for about 15 years. They keep your feet so warm and toasty in cold Ohio winters. I believe in this brand and only this brand !

These are the real deal. I need something seriously warm and waterproof to wear for outdoor activities in northern Finland (that's the Arctic Circle, people!) so the -40 temp rating is an absolute necessity for me. I wore these around the house with the idea that I would need to break them in over a period of weeks in order to be able to travel comfortably in them. However, these are not stiff like other serious snow boots so I won't need a long break-in period. The thick sole actually flexes normally. I have wide feet and these are wide enough. They don't slip off my heels so although they look big due to the hearty materials and insulation, they are true to size. These are as warm as advertised. The best part is they are easy to get in and out of and easy to lace. I think they look cute and classic in an extra from the movie Fargo way, but this is definitely a heavy snowboot, not a fashion look. Sorel makes lower-profile and more feminine duck-style boots and if you look at them side by side you can tell these have a much chunkier profile. These might be overkill for this mild NYC winter but they're going to be perfect for Finland. the grey is really nice and the price is fair for such a durable-seeming boot.

I used to be a tremendous fan of Sorel, particularly the formerly tried and true Caribou. All through the 80s and 90s these were fantastic. But now, the rubber they use is garbage. It cracks in the first 6 weeks! I've gone through two pair in two seasons. The soles aren't even warn, but the sides have pulled away from the Uppers and the flex points (where your toes hit your foot, where they bend in each step) simply crack open! Terrible. The uppers are still great, the design is great, the self cleaning soles work beautifully, the liners are fine, but the Rubber is horrid. Surly they still know what their original recipe for rubber was... why not go back to that? How simple would that be? But for what ever reason, they are allowing their flag ship boot to become worthless. Buy something else.

I am replacing my Caribou Sorels after over 30 years of wear. They have kept my toes warm in northern Minnesota and in the Colorado mountains.

The boot seems nice but they were too large and I did not like the loose insert. Also, they were hard to get on even though they were too big. I have subsequently returned the boots.

Got these for my mother for her birthday. She is usually an 8 in any other shoe, because she has wide feet. I had to exchange them for a half a size smaller, they still look a little big but not as big as the 8! Comfortable, warm and a great boot overall. The exchange process couldnt have been easier. Thank you Zappos for always having amazing and effortless customer service! <3

Love these boots! I always order a half size larger so I can wear thick socks and still have room so my feet don't get cold. I'm hooked on Sorel!

I was excited to received my new Sorel boots, but I was disappointed when I tried them on. The boot is large. It looks like clown shoes. I am usually a 8 . After reading the reviews decided to order 7.5 . Even with a smaller size they were big. Sad to return them and afraid to exchange since there is no free shipping and sizes are not to true size.

My pair of Carbou boots seem really good, they're true (-ish) to size, maybe a little roomy but I like the option to fit very thick socks. They are warm and they are waterproof. I appreciate the heavily lugged sole over other similar Sorel styles, as it's grippy. If my experience ended there, they'd get 5 stars. However, originally I bought the Sorel 1964 nylon boots, and a part of the rubber bottom was dry rotted after just a month. Sorel replaced them, thankfully. So, my Carbous are very nice, and they do the job very well. But I'm concerned about how long they'll last; based on my own Sorel experience.

I really wanted these boots to last the rest of my life, really! I wanted to be one of the people that you see at the mountain, at the bar, in the yard, at the post office wearing my beloved Sorels. However, I hardly even used these at all until they started leaking. I began using them to slip on and off to feed my dogs outside, and before I knew it, they leaked. They leak in the rain, in the snow, everywhere! I wish my feet would stay dry, I love the look!

If you are going to be anywhere snowy and cold - you need these. If it's 20 below, your feet will always be toasty, even if the rest of your body is freezing. Say goodbye to cold feet. Be forewarned however that these boots are huge and bulky - when I first took them out of the box I was a little taken aback and they seemed like too much. But, as soon as I stepped outside somewhere snowy I fell in love. These are definitely heavy duty clunky snow boots but they are surprisingly comfy and cute. I bought a pair of Tofinos for commuting to work and running around the city in cold weather but my Caribous are the go to when I'm heading to the mountains. You won't find a better snow boot. Note that they do run big. I went down a half size from my street shoe size (and I always am wearing heavy socks too).

Great item--short life! In only three years, the rubber top disintegrated! Worthless! If there's something I did wrong, or a conditioner for the rubber, let me know, I'd gladly get another pair. My budget doesn't allow me to spend $150 on snow boots every few years. Am I being unreasonable?
