This boot is the best quality, warmest I've ever owned. I live in Michigan, it gets below 0 sometimes and my feet have never been cold. I will own a pair from now on! Very worth the cost!!

These are classic boots and I loved the look. However, I ordered in my normal size and they were way too large. Interestingly, the other pair of Sorel boots I ordered in the same size fit fine. I am returning these.
I'd also recommend:

I really wanted to keep these boots but I liked The Columbia boots that i ordered at the same time a little better. They were much lighter weight and easier to walk in. These boots seem incredibly warm and tough and plenty wide for a wide foot. I would recommend them for anyone with wide feet. They do seem to run a little big...I wear a 10 and the 10 had plenty of room for thick socks.

I ordered a pair of these boots for my husband and son-in-law for a ski trip. The boots arrived very quickly and in time for their trip ! Both my husband and son-in-law say the boots are comfortable, warm and perfect for the deep snow!

Sizing can be tricky, but definitely worth taking the time to figure it out. I'm super grateful for Zappos and their awesome exchange policy!! I typically wear a size 8 in running shoes (Asics, Brooks). After trying 7-8, I ended up with a 7.5 in these and am happy! The 7 actually seemed to fit in the length, but the toe box felt very snug (too snug). They are big boots (as many reviews state), and they are a bit heavy - but there was no break-in time and I find them very comfortable to wear. My feet are warm, even with thin socks. They have better tread that the Joan of Arctic (which I was debating between), and aren't as stiff. I'm very pleased with my purchase!

These boots are great for cold weather and trekking through the snow. I would recommend sizing down. I am a standard 7 in almost all other shoes but I ordered this in a 6.5 per other reviewer suggestions. I still have some wiggle room but the boots are especially big if they are worn without thick socks.

I purchased these because I live in Minnesota and my kids are both Nordic skiers. The meets get cold, especially when you are standing as a spectator. These boots are very warm! Two weeks ago the meet had air temps of 1 degree F, with wind chills below zero. My feet were toasty warm the whole time. A lot of the reviews say the boots run large, but for me that was not true. I originally ordered a size 10 (as I typically wear a size 10), but my toes were to the end of the boot with no room. I sadly had to return them, and I ordered an 11. They are the perfect size for me. One other thing I read online was that there is some rubbing on the backs of the heels. This was true the first time I wore them, but after that it was fine. I think picking better socks helped so they didn't shift around as much. Go with taller Smart Wool and the heels should be fine. Overall, love these boots and so glad I can stand out in the snow watching the skiers and not have have my feet freeze.

The boots are really nice, Heavy but very nice! Good for -40 below, I haven't used them yet, but I did try them on, they fit like a glove true to size for sure. Excellent service from DXL!

After about a year, worn about 18 times, the rubber section of the Caribou men's boots developed cracks in the area that bends when walking. The resultant hole is about 4" long. Several other reviews of your boots also cite this condition. (I received no incentive for this comment and am not interested in any sweepstakes or gift card.)

I've always heard that these run a little too big so I ordered a half size smaller and they fit perfectly! I got them so I would be able to walk our Bernese, and they keep my feet warm and dry!

I've been searching for boots for a while, and actually consulted friends in Montral about which brand they suggested to combat their -40C/F winters, and Sorel came up as the first name. After ordering two pairs of different sizes and returning the one that was a little too large, these are now perfectly comfortable after just a few days of wearing them, and my toes have never been warmer!

These are great boots! I have no complaints. Size is slightly large but it works great with wool socks. I wear a 7.5 usually which is what I purchased and worked great.

These boots are incredibly warm and hardy. However, I seriously dispute their hardiness. I bought them in Nov 2015. Our NJ winters are cold but I certainly do not need to wear them every day, particularly not these past 2 winters when we have had perhaps 5 days' total of freezing temps. Imagine my disdain when this winter, in December 2017, I pulled out my boots to find the rubber is perished and cracked, right along where the boot bends. They leak, I get wet feet in the snow and I am cold. Sorel deny responsibility as they are beyond the 1 year warranty. I will not be buying them again. A big expense that I expected to carry over several more years. Now I have to re-invest. Overall, great boot but I expected it to last more than 2 years....

I originally bought these as the "classic" snow boots. My dad always had a pair growing up, so why should I stray from that path. Everyone knows dad is always right. The are stylish as all hell, but that's about where my likeability of these boots ends. They are so freakin heavy they are pretty much useless for anything besides sitting around. The only thing I use them for now is snowmobiling. I tried to wear these a 12 hour day shoveling and I was exhausted afterwords, not my arms or back from the snow, but just my legs from lugging these iron boots around. When I go work in the snow now, I just wear my regular work boots, I don't care if they get wet. My waterlogged Timberlands are half the weight of these things dry. Also, the giant hooks for the laces is a plain dumb design. They are impossible to get as tight as you need them, so unless you have a nice pair of super elastic socks, you can expect your socks to be bunched up around your ankle a half hour after walking around in these things. Would NEVER buy these again or recommend that anyone I know buy these.

I purchased a pair of these boots with the intention of wearing them for years with maybe a few new liners to keep them fresh. Well after about 4 months the right boot started to make a clicking sound when I walk, if I was in a store people would stare at me because it sounded like I have a peg leg. Now this season(13months later) my feet are freezing, my right boot liner was even frozen to the bottom of the boot when I tried to pull it out to put on my boot dryer. Today I noticed why I was having these issues, the sole has separated by my big toe on the right boot. I guess I should have looked at them closer while they were still under warranty? But, for the price of these things I didn't expect them to come apart in just a few months of actual use. I guess I'll be shopping other brands for now and would only buy another pair of these Sorel's if I can find them on a real good sale. I loved these boots but I cannot afford to buy a new pair every season.

These are the best snow boots I've ever had! They keep my feet so warm even if I'm wearing a regular ankle sock. They do fit slightly bigger but I like this because I am able to wear thick socks without having my toes squished. If the price deters you, trust me they are worth every penny!
