Excellent walking shoes. Good lateral support. Insoles have to be replaced if you want good arch support and a cushioned walk.

Comfortable, nicely styled, good quality leather uppers, soles not quite as good

The shoes fit well. I ordered a 10 and could really use a 9.5 but they are still comfortable, meet my needs for a walking shoe that seems to fall n between a sneaker and a hiking shoe, but is still attractive enough to wear out to dinner

I'm a flight attendant and on my feet up to 12 hrs. a day and was looking for a comfortable shoe. When I first put these on they were a little harder than I expected, not as cushioned as I had hoped. After wearing them a few days they began to feel more comfortable. I do like these shoes I just wish there was more cushion to them, I guess I could try an insert.

A little harder to 'break in' than the grey/suede version I purchased last year. Love them.

The size was too long. There is about an inch longer than my feet and I have trouble walking with them on and feeling like I could stumble. I think a size smaller (size 9.0) would work.
I'd also recommend:
I think that the same style shoe at size 9.0 would work. I want to exchange these.

I wanted the olive green suede ones but ended up with the black. They are OK.

Overall the shoe was great, the advertisement raved about the "Memory Foam" insert was nothing more that a very thin shoe insole and very difficult to get the memory foam effect in a 1/8" or less thick insole. Had to add another insole to get the comfort advertised.

Took me 3 tries to get the correct size, but I am happy now. These Rockports are a nice blend of casual and dressy and very comfortable for standing and walking. I will wear them for my work assignments.

This is my fourth pair. I have very narrow feet, but these work. I use them for everything -- the grungy one for mowing lawn &c, the middle one for long walks of miles/day, the new one for visits n such. I put them on and they do what's expected and at end of day everything still feels good. Best of all, they don't come apart.

The color is wrong. On the web page, Castlerock shows as brown. These are grey. They are just a bit too long, but the width is perfect. They seem less durable than my other rockports, but time will tell.

Been wearing Prowalkers for a long time. Recent sneakers, even with XW fit, still feel pretty tight. I think I'm too old to see a change in my foot, so I think something has changed with the sizing. My new sneakers have been in and out of shoe stretchers almost since I got them. Hope to be able to wear them this week.

Shoe would be fine, but was too small. I've worn a size 12 B or N for about 50 years, but now it's very hard to find a shoe that's true to size. I would try a 13 N, but you don't list this size.

It's stiff till it gets broken in which takes about a week. It's a good fit for my narrow foot. It would be better if the sole was thicker. It's almost like walking on the sidewalk till your feet get a bit calloused . It looks good.

I've always liked Rockport shoes. They seem to be built on a slightly narrower last, so keep that in mind. What I wanted to find (and it was not easy) was both a totally white and totally black shoes that would be extremely comfortable for walking. I tried the medium with and it was quite snug. These were the white shoes. When I went back to the product page, the white shoes were not available in a wide width. So I ordered the black shoes in the wide width, and kept the white pair to see the difference in fit. The black ones came earlier in the week and today I finally tried them on. Surprisingly, the fit was as perfect as I had hoped for. When the white shoes are back in stock - I'll also order a pair of those. Walking around in the black pair was almost as comfortable as walking around in a shoe that was broken in. They felt great. The styling of these Rockports are lovely. Both colors are pure white and black. Exactly what I had been looking for for months. I have three pair of other more formal Rockports that have been with me for over 20 years. They always accompanied me when I traveled, monthly through the US and Europe. Sometimes spending six weeks on the road. When I got those shoes I worked really hard at polishing them to a military shine, and they are still in perfect shape, thought I did have them resoled twice. I was happy to find these and I'm sure they will last a very long time. YEA Zappo's!

The toe box of Size 12 M(D) was too narrow for my usually average foot. Otherwise seemed very well made, and shoes looked good.

I've worn them only once so I really don't have much to say about them right now. Contact me in a few months for a more detailed opinion.

The shoes are a little stiff, but not a deal-breaker by any means. I've done some longer walks in them with no problems, and they look good, too. Yes, I'm a woman, who can't find shoes wide enough. These men's 4E are just about right.
