I am normally a 6½ and tried on both 6 and 7. They both fit with room in the toe area but the 7 was quite roomy. The 7 is noticeably larger looking, with fatter laces. Thus, I went with the 6. They are actually pretty comfortable right off the bat!

I love this color! I have been eyeing them for a while now. I wear a US size 8 and had to size down to a US size 7, mind you, I have a black pair that are really tall that are US size 8. Not sure of they run differently because of the style or what. The exchange was a breeze though and the customer service was sincere, swift, and awesome!

Love these classic boots with jeans or a cute skirt. They arrived quickly and the customer service was best in class!

What a disappointment. Hindsight being 20/20 I should have listened to the negative reviews regarding the quality of these boots. But since there seemed to be more positives than negatives, I decided to go ahead and order a pair. I was especially thrilled because they had the cherry color that reminded me of a pair of oxblood shoes that I once had. In person, these boots looks so cheap. I expected them to be like a patent type of cherry red but instead it looked like a cheap version of synthetic leather and the coloring was ridiculous. Even the leather feels super thin. I figured I would try them on since I could always exchange for a different color. Yet another disappointment. The shoe towards the bottom of the tongue cut into the top of my foot and the shoes definitely felt like they were going to need some breaking in. However, with the boot quality being what it was, I did not feel like it was worth my time or the blisters that I would most likely endure. I owned a few pairs of Docs back in the day and miss them terribly. Those were great quality shoes and the leather was real leather. It didn't look and feel like some cheap knockoff. I have to say I was shocked at the quality of these boots when I think back to what they used to be. If you used to own a pair of Docs from back in the day, you too will be yearning for those just like me. Hopefully the company will come around and improve this once great shoe.

I got a 12 and I am a 10. It does run true to size. There is not much lycra. Sometimes too much lycra makes it run small. It is not well made, but love it. Makes a 65 year old body look pretty good. Too much lycra just pushes the fat out someplace else on your body. Forget those miracle suits.

These are awesome and surprisingly hard to find. Like my many previous pairs of Docs, these are well constructed and comfortable. The patent leather is a little stiffer than regular leather and bends a little weird, but not unlike other patent leather shoes. All in all, I couldn't be happier. They rock.

Love the dark burgundy color. Always comfortable. Walked for 10 hours first time wearing them and they were great.

These are amazing boots! The Air Wair is ridiculously comfortable. Wow. My feet are so happy! I ordered the UK 8 which is a US 10, and I normally wear 10½ (sometimes 11,) and I have wide feet and a tall arch. They fit perfectly. They were wide enough and they did not need hardly any breaking in! So I would definitely say they run a half size bigger at least. I highly recommend trying on a few sizes if you are able, as for ordering online, read the reviews for fit! If it is any help, a majority of shoes don't fit my feet. But these fit me great. So I think if you have very narrow feet these will be a bit wide for you. I needed a fun comfortable boot for the winter months. I ordered the patent floral (no longer available) and they are simply adorable. This is the first pair of Doc boots I have ever owned and they are definitely worth the price. They will last you a very long time.

Love, love, love these boots! You can dress them up or down, also very comfy with the air cushion sole! Awesome buy! I have small feet so the 5 is a bit big but I like my toes to have wiggle room.

Couldn't decide between these 1460 W [SKU: #118955] [(W) not the unisex 1460s] black nappa leather OR the matte black textured 1460s (SKU: #7192163)...until I put the former on my right and the latter on my left. Five differences: 1. Trim Stitching Right: yellow Left: black 2. Last Right: "rounded" Left: "squared", wider 3. Eyelets Right: eight (8) Left: seven (7) 4. Texture Right: Nappa Left: Textured 5. Feel Left: Stiffer Right: Softer So, I'm going to keep the 1460W black nappa leather pair and return the textured pair. Also, as an aside, Doc Martens tend to run almost a full size large. I wear a US 6 (UK 4) but ordered a US 5 (UK 3), and they fit perfectly.

i have always wanted a pair of Doc Martens and these are everything I dreamed of and more. the only problem that I'm having, (and it's not even a "problem" necessarily) is that I ordered them size 8 in women's when I usually wear a size 7, and they feel at LEAST size 8 1/2 to 9. otherwise than that, super comfy and durable. They're a wonderful purchase. I love them!

I LOVE these boots. I've been looking for this dark red color everywhere and could only find on Zappos. Like any quality leather boot, they take some time to break in, but that only means they are going to last you forever. You can't go wrong with these - they are a classic.

This is the second pair of Docs I have purchased from Zappos for my daughter in the past two years. She loves the Nappa leather because it is so soft and comfortable. These boots are super durable and look great even with a little wear & tear. We have also had excellent customer service and fast delivery.

These are amazing shoes. I took them out of the box a few days ago and have not stopped wearing them. They take some wearing in but I can already feel them forming to my feet. Good quality, great style - an excellent choice!

I love these shoes but I can't wear them because it is too tight at the seam! I have another pair of these, the black patent ones and they fit fine.

Love these. Classic DM style and color. Super comfy. Can be a bit clunky and heavy but once you get the hang of them they are easy to wear. Be careful the first few days on stairs. Size down. I am a 6.5/7 and I ordered a uk4/us6.

These shoes are so adorable! I would have loved to have kept them, but Dr. Martens really messed up when they made these...the stitching across the top of the foot is so tight that there's no way to wear them. I have a friend who bought the same boots second hand and has gotten bruises from this issue. Such a shame.

Wow. I got these in Black Nappa 1460W and I'm so glad I did. They were pretty comfy right out of the box. I'm usually an 8 1/2 so I ordered these in a size 8 UK and they were perfect. I only wore them around the house a couple of times, and then wore them all day at a music festival with nothing but tights on my feet. Not one blister or breakdown did I get! They look exactly like the smooth leather and if you didn't touch them with your hands you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. These are so much softer and easier to break in so I highly recommend the Black Nappa's for comfort and style. Best shoe purchase I've made in a long time. Thanks Zappos!

Excellent! Fun! Fashionable! My daughter loves these boots. She gets compliments on them every day at school. In the past when I ordered from Zappos things arrived the very next day I guess I didn't qualify for free next day shipping on this order - so that was a little disappointing as these were a birthday gift. But it wasn't Zappos fault. Zappos is a top notch company! It was worth the wait. She absolutely loves them. They look great with skirts, jeans and leggings.

Zappos was a great place to shop. Transaction was smooth from beginning to end. Knowing that if the shoe was not right for me when I got it, it was refreshing to know that I could send it back free of charge within a year time frame. The shoes I ordered are very comfortable. The break in with time. The may run a little on the large size. Just in the sense they do not squeeze your feet. The soles are really good if you have feet problems like myself.

I love, love, love the style of these. They are beyond cute, but in a cool way. They are made of high-quality materials, too. They seem comfortable, with one exception: I have a somewhat high instep, and the seam across the bottom of the laces hurts my feet after a while. It seems to be improving as they stretch a bit, so I'm keeping them, but if you have a very high instep, they will probably not work for you. They are wider than average, which is great for my somewhat wide feet.

These are awesome! They feel and look good and are so true to size. I love my Doc Martens.
