Doc Martens are so comfortable. Be sure to break them in. It took about a week for the leather to loosen and start molding to my foot. Love this color. Fun but not too bright.

The style is cool and the fit is good. However the tongue kept sliding down and to the side making it uncomfortable when walking. You have to tie the boot tight for the tongue not to slide.

These boots definitely need to be broken in a couple times before you consider taking them on vacation especially if you plan on walking around most of the day. I bought them for New York trip and wore them once for dinner. The front part of boot is sort of tight so I definitely still need to wear them out. This style is softer than the others. My feet didn’t get wet from the rain or snow and held up well. I love the style and goes perfect with leggings or even shorts.

I ordered true to size; however found the the top of the shoe to be rubbing against the area on my feet where my toes begin. There was also hardly any space between my toes and the front of the shoe, which was a cause of concern if I planned to wear any socks thicker than what I had on at the time. I ended up returning them.

So cool looking, but uncomfortable. I guess these need a break in period. Rubbed my foot in all the wrong places & left me limping through the mall. Couldn't wait to get back to my car. I had a pair of these when I was a teenager & I don't remember them being that uncomfortable. I wore them everywhere back then.

These fit fine--I ordered one size smaller than usual--but the toe box is so rounded that they make my feet look larger than they already are! Returned.

Much like the other reviewers, I also felt a pain in the top of my foot. I wonder if it has anything to do with arch height, or if it's an odd fit for everyone.

it's my 1st Docs so I choose this classic and typical 8 eye model. Nappa leather feels much softer than smooth leather yet also quite styled. It's said to be Women width, so I expect it would come with a bit narrower toe, however, it's still wider than normal girls' troopa boots.

These shoes are awesome. Nice leather, perfect quality, super look. My problem is that my feet are rather wide and these shoes run rather narrow. I wear size 10 wide, and ordered size 10. They seem a little too long and they look too big on me, but if I order a smaller size they will be too narrow. For normal feet they would be just great.

They were really stylish and cute, but they really hurt the top of my feet! I had to return them because I could not get past the seam on top of the shoe pushing into the top of my foot. Hopefully another style will be better!

If you’re looking for a stylish way to fight the cold or snow like I was, then this is the boot for you! Patent-leather is in the season and I don’t see it going anywhere which is why I had to grab these before all the hype beast jumped on them. I never owned a pair of Dr.Martens so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’m a size 8 yet normally I like to get a half size up for wiggle room. Unfortunately these boots don’t come in half-sizes( which manufacturing should reconsider??) They fight wonderfully besides the fact that they’re slight right width wise. I’ve only worn them twice so I’m praying they loosen up with wear! Other than the width of the shoe these are a great buy!

Love the color, but not the material. I felt like it cheapened the boot a bit with how shiny it is. Fit is true to size. Possibly size up if you plan on wearing thick socks with these. And, because of the material, you may need a break-in period.

I’m a 7.5, but ordered an 8 because someone said to size up due to my wider feet. The width fit me great, but my heel lifted too much, so I need to get 7.5. Otherwise, the quality on the leather is great and feels good.

I usually take a 9 in most shoes, and ended up with the US Womens size 8 in these. They still felt a little big so I ordered the Dr. Martens Comfort insoles, and it made all the difference. I've been wanting a pair of these boots for years, love them. Everyone says they need some breaking in, but they don't really fell like they need it to me.

These were crazy small and I don't have a large foot. The seam across the top of the boot, where the tongue is sewn, is rough and dug into the top of my foot. Length is right, though. I have 3 other pair of Dr. Marten's and this is not the same.

You can't go wrong with this classic style! I have the dark cherry red color. I'm in love with them and will wear them for years to come.

The quality of these has definitely gone down. Also the soles degrade easily if you tend to drag your feet. Within 6 months the back of my soles were completely gone. The smooth leather is also more hard and not although broken in will not be as flexible or comfortable as the soft leather.

These boots are comfortable, stylish, and a classic.

This is my first pair of Dr. Martens. I usually wear a 7.5 in boots (Teva, Merrell, Born). I ordered both a UK 5 (US Womens 7) and a UK 6 (US Womens 8). I don't like my shoes too tight, so I was leaning towards keeping the larger pair, even though they looked a bit comically long on me. The smaller pair felt sufficient in length, but I felt more constricted in the width than I prefer. I read many many online reviews that promised that the boots would stretch. I very hesitantly kept the UK 5 (US Womens 7). I wore them around the house for a few weeks for just few hours a time while wearing 2 pairs of thick socks. I am SO glad that I listened to other reviewers (thanks you!) and kept the smaller size because they stretched out perfectly and are even loose when I wear thinner summer socks. I have very problematic feet due to years of ballet/pointe and these boots, after the break-in period, are now more comfortable than even my Tevas, Merrells, and Birkenstocks. Today was the first day I wore them while on campus all day where I walk about 7000 steps and up 16 flights of stairs. Even with my heavy bag and backpack, my feet are doing great! I ordered the Cherry Red Arcadia. The underlying red is not as pronounced as in the photos (they mostly look shiny black), but I'm hoping more red will show through with more wear. I LOVE them and I am excited to try more colors and styles.

This shoe. This shoe is exactly what I hoped it would be. The style is timeless. The color is dynamic and true to the picture. The size, for me, was a perfect fit. I'm 7-7.5 US, so I went with the 7. I tried a moderately heavy wool sock with them first and have no complaints. Literally fit like a glove. The leather is a little plastic like on the outside, but inside is a true leather feel and doesn't ruin the comfort these shoes provide.

I did not originally realize the 1460 was unisex, and 1460W was the women's size....when I originally ordered the unisex, the shoe was HUGE -too long and too wide. I order from Zappos due to ease of returns, and returned the unisex and went on waiting list for the 1460W to restock. They sell out fast. The 1460W fits perfectly-I am a narrow medium size 7but I prefer to size up to the size 8 because I like extra room and wear socks with the shoes. The nappa leather is much softer and easier to wear in than the traditional leather doc. MUCH easier to get used to the feel of this shoe in less time. Highly recommend this shoe.

Love these boots! They are simple, yet edgy, and can be worn in almost every season. I wear them for casual days and also going out with friends. I was nervous about the sizing, but based on the other reviews decided to go with an 8 in women's and they fit perfectly. (I'm usually a 7 in flats/heels and 8 in athletic shoes.) I've had them for about a year now and they still look brand new. Great purchase.
