Classic New Balance - Great shoe. Both comfortable and classic looking. Ordered from Zappos and they were extremely helpful and friendly. I also bought from them because the local mall only carries the newer styles of sneakers most of which look ridiculous.

New Balance classics - The shoes seemed a little stiff when I first put them on, but gave me great comfort all day shopping. These are some of the lowest price New Balance and they looked OK. I did not really like the very shiny blue plastic N or trim. These are really just walking around and going shopping shoes. They are not supportive enough to walk or run long distances in.

4 out of 5! I purchased New Balance again because my last pair were so great. There are two differences between the pairs--first, the size. Last time I had a 7.5 Women's, but this time it was too big and I had to return them for a 7. Also, the support in the back at the top of the shoe (where it is a slight U shape) can be a little uncomfortable and digs into my skin. It is getting better, though, and I think it is only a matter of breaking them in. All in all, I like them!

These shoes look great. I’m very satisfied. Also, Zappos gave me a free upgrade to overnight shipping and i got them in less than 12 hours! Unbelievable! Zappos rules!

A comfortable fit right from the start! The NB Classics is a great style that goes with jeans or shorts. It fit great right from day one but if you have a wider foot you may want to go with the wider size. I've always found that most NB athletic shoes need no breaking in period. A great shoe for bike riding.

Finally.... Finally I was able to obtain a "classic" looking New Balance shoe in grey that fits well...true to size in wide width. It's a little stiff on the sole especially if you are used to other more pliant models (608 or 992). But that may improve as it breaks in.

Look small - Sneaker looks smaller on than most other sneakers for whatever reason. Maybe because it's all black?

Deep chocolate Newbie’s - You know already that New Balances are comfortable. The arches of my feet are right at home lifted up on these soles. They keep my legs fresh all day. The look however was not quite what I expected. The triple browns end up looking more like outdoorsy, low-top hikers than urban sneaks. The "N" looks too plastic, too shiny on the modest brown suede. Great shoes, just not as stylish as I was expecting.

A review from Haystack - The fit and finish is very good quality for their price. I usually wear NB's because so many of their styles are available in wide. I usually find that I need to order a half size up for proper fit. Roomy enough for orthotics.

Nice shoe - Not very breathable and so-so cushioning. I just buy these cause everyone else does not because they're great shoes.

So comfortable - I had a pair of these in the 70's and they're still the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. They look great- very retro, but they're not very sleek. They make my feet look small somehow, which is fine with me. I have clown feet.

Really comfortable, little surprised by the look - First off, it's one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. The only thing is that it's a bit shinier than the picture led me to believe. The N on the side and the back of the shoe at the top is a super glossy material that just looks a bit out of place. Maybe I should have looked a little closer, I still dig the shoe.

A kickin' classic - Wonderful shoe. I have been wearing Reeboks for quite some time now and decided to go for these instead this time. I'm glad I did. I would say that these shoes are almost identical to the Reebok Classics in everything but overall comfort. I have to give the edge to the Reeboks, but this is still a very comfortable pair of shoes! I don't regret the buy one bit.

Put a lot of miles on this shoe so far - I'm in Rome, Italy, and doing a ton of walking. These shoes are holding up great, and are very comfortable. Lots of uneven cobblestone around, and my feet feel good. For the price (and the free next day shipping), I def. recommend.

Decent shoe, decent price - Overall a good shoe, but is not as comfortable as the New Balance 016 model. Toe area has stretched out a little, but is not uncomfortable or unsightly.

Comfortable and Reasonably Priced - Well, they sure aren't the slickest looking sneakers alive, but they definitely do the job. I ordered my usual 11.5 and feel they are about a half size larger, and most definitely a bit wider than my usual Pumas and Clarks that I prefer to wear. I've ran a bit in them and was satisfied with the shock absorption (as a regular street runner).

These shoes rock - I love the old fashioned look and the variety of colors. I have a hard time buying other shoes now

Nice shoe - A great looking, retro shoe. It felt a little tight at first, but if I wear them loose, they're very comfortable. Make sure you get a pair wide enought.

older style running shoe for a guy with big feet - I really like the retro style of the 574-similar in appearance to the 594-however they seem a bit smaller in the two box than the 594 I recently had-the price is a real bargain.

Overall good shoe - I really like the look of these shoes. Unfortunately, dirt tends to show up really well if you get a lighter color (but that's true for anything). The shoes are comfortable and I've received many compliments on them. My only observation/complaint is that they don't feel as "sturdy" as what I'm used to. It's a very good shoe though and I would recommend it.

I am enjoying this shoe. It is comfortable and look good with anything I am wearing, from shorts to jeans to casual sport clothes.

Great-looking...slightly uncomfortable - I have a pair of running shoes from New Balance as well, 715. They are very, very comfy. These M574's are not comfortable at all. After going out and walking all night, my feet are pretty uncomfortable near the instep. I've only worn them about 4 times, so I might need to break them in.

As Expected - My old pair of New Balance out lasted my new Oasic replacements. This time I bought New Balance again. They are a great shoe and they hold up well.
