Very comfortable, good looking shoe, suede can be a problem - Everything about the shoe (i.e., look and comfort) is great, but DO NOT wear these shoes in the rain, when it wet outside, in the morning (because of the dew), or any other time when there is the remotest chance of getting them wet. That is a surefire way of ruining them. The suede doesn't absorb water that well so I suggest buying some spray to protect it.

Needs breaking-in - I have wide feet and consequently, sometimes my feet feel cramped in a shoe. Some shoes will feel comfortable immediately while others need to be broken-in. These are the latter type. I've worn them about 4 times and I believe they are getting stretched in the right places to provide more comfort.

The New Air Force 1!!! I believe this shoe should take over Nike's Air Force 1. The style, colorways available, price, comfort... This is the new standard!!!

Excellent Shoe - This is a great looking shoe. It's also light and comfortable to wear around. I haven't had it long enough to see how durable it is, but so far I've run into no problems concerning durability. The only negative thing about this shoe is that everyone has a pair!

These are good overall shoes. Nice for casual running. Not the best shoes ever but they're good shoes.

NB M574 - I really like the shoe. I love the look. It seems as if I wear them for a long time- they become a bit uncomfortable. I'm not sure if it's the shoe or the fact that I tend to walk on the outside of my feet some. I do like the shoe- and would buy them again if I have the chance.

m574 - Very comforable, almost no break-in period. Very light weight. With a "EEE" foot, New Balance is the only choice for me. The variety of color combinations in this model was overwhelming.

I love the comfort and style of these shoes. They fit wonderfully and are comfy right out of the box. The style is understated and they look great with anything. The only drawback is durability. I have been wearing them 5 days a week for almost 4 months and one shoe already has a hole in the toe and they are starting to look a little shabby. Admittedly, I am tough on shoes, but I was hoping they would last a little longer.

I ordered these for my husband in the navy suede/canvas combination. The photo makes the shoes look navy and orange, but upon arrival the colors were actually navy and tan. I am returning them because the colors just do not have as much pizazz as we would like. I am sure they are otherwise comfortable shoes (he did not even try them on).

I'm a long time New Balance wearer. These were dissapointing due to the cut-out below the ankle being too high. Would have sent them back if I hadn't already worn them outside.

I've been wearing NB's M574s for over five years now, and unfortunately the quality of the shoes have greatly decreased. I bought a pair this past June, and the stitching that attaches the sole to the shoe has already come apart, despite only wearing them a few days a week. Perhaps it is due to New Balance's outsourcing.

This was my first pair of New Balances and will prob be my last. The sole wore out in less than two months. They were spectacular the first month though. Shame I already have to get rid of them.

This shoe is smaller than advertised. I wear a 12 and this shoe is closer to an 11. I would return it but I tossed the packing and wore it. Sadly. It's not quite as pretty as the photograph either.

Do not buy this shoe if you have flat-feet or wide-feet. I love New Balance shoes, but this pair really disappointed me. First off, they look cheaply made. Second, they are cheaply made. I barely used these shoes, and one day when I had to do some moving boxes type of work in them, they really hurt my feet. After work that day, I noticed the shoe ripped at the outside region near my pinky toe, and both of my big toes were red. And by the end of the week both of my big toe nails turned black from bruising under the nail. This was in the summer. It's winter right now and my toe nails are still black. Although it doesn't hurt, it's a reminder why I won't purchase this model again, also Zappos sent me an email reminder asking me if I would like to buy these shoes again, so thanks for reminding me about writing this review for others.

I was very disappointed in durability. The shoe seemed to "shrink" over time and eventually wore through the toe area. I’d shop for a different style from NB and would never purchase the M574's again.

I'm afraid many people have probably reviewed these 574 too quickly without giving them a real wear for more than a week or two. At first, I'll admit I loved these shoes as they fit great and were comfy right out of the box. However, after only a few months of normal wear they began to self destruct! Stitching came undone on the side of the front and the soles were separating and wore down ridiculously quick. I didn't even use these shoes for jogging, ever, just normal walking around town! Apparently I can add New Balance to the ever growing list of formerly made in the USA quality products that have moved production to China and in doing so their quality goes down the drain! Just like Converse did years ago and Frye did more recently. Zappos however still rules and has hands down the best customer service and appreciation I have ever encountered! A million stars to Zappos, 0 stars to these shoes. I am now officially the opposite of brand loyal to New Balance. I am, however, a diehard Zappos enthusiast! Thanks Zappos, you guys rule!

Beware, these are no longer made in the USA! I owned a pair for the last 9 years that was the best pair of shoes I ever had. Purchased these and they're made in China now. I could accept that if the quality was similar but it's not. Gaps in the gluing of the soles, misfitting and poorly cut, cheaper materials everywhere, and to top it all off, the right shoe's heel was over 1/8" thicker than the left making them unusable. Returned them and will be very reluctant to ever buy New Balance again.

These shoes are very comfortable and nice looking. I have several pairs of 574s and this pair did not disappoint. I highly recommend the New Balance 574.

I love the shoes, but they were a size too small.

The quality of the NB classic M574 is excellent. However, as of March 2018 they are roughly 1/2 a size shorter than other brands.
