I bought these for my husband and he loves them; New Balances are always comfortable! Only thing with solid black is it's kind of difficult to match everything he wears; other than that, great shoes.

Love these shoes! I was replacing an old pair of light gray 574s that were over ten years old and worn to bits. I wear these as street shoes. It's got good support but I've never used them for running or anything super athletic. Only word of caution is that these run very narrow. This may be true of all NB shoes, but I could definitely feel it in these. I don't have a wide foot but I had to go with the widest available (2E in mans) because the medium in womans (B) and wide (D) wasn't comfortable. Other than feeling bad about sending so many pairs of shoes back and forth, I'm so happy I found a replacement for my beloved sneakers.

I'm an old, old guy, and I've dealt with hundreds of companies over the years -- in person, by phone and mail, and lately via internet. I have never come across a company with the kind of customer service Zappos offers as a matter of course. I may never buy shoes from any other source. Also, the product in question fits as comfortably as any shoe I've ever owned.

I think this is my first review, but Zappos was fast and priced well. The products I ordered were safe (Levis & New Balance) and there were no surprises. Very fast delivery. No complaints whatsoever.

Awesome shoe! They feel really light on my feet. I would definitely buy another pair when I wear these out. The fit and finish of these shoes are perfect!

This is one of the best buys I've ever made. I work on my feet, and this shoe makes a world of difference. The only drawback for me is that they don't come in 4E width, and even though they will stretch, they will be a snug fit for a week or so.

Good looking old school shoe. Very comfy a little narrow, even in the wide size. I have to have the laces pretty loose.

I ordered these shoes for my fiancée's bday. They arrived about four or five days later, and he loves them! They are his new fave pair of go-to shoes. They go with everything. He mentioned to me that New Balances sometimes run about a half size too small on him, so I got them a little bigger and they fit him perfectly. Good purchase!

This is a very comfortable shoe. I normally wear 11 but ordered an 11.5 and they fit well. I am very happy with them overall. They do have a highly reflective piece around the top of the heel as many other reviewers have noted. They also are much lighter in color than the picture, but this may be my computer.

I don't normally wear athletic shoes, but I wanted something a little more comfortable for the summer (I normally wear boots all the time). So when I saw the style and the price of these, along with the great reviews, I decided to check these out. They are very comfortable with a minimal break in period. They are also very lightweight and they look awesome.

I just received these shoes last night and I love them! What is even better is that I ordered them on Friday after 4:30pm and they still arrived on Monday. Zappos, you came through again! The only small issue I have, and it is small, is that I am flat footed and these have a high arch support, but given time, it will flatten out, that and they are a little narrower than I thought they would be, but they are absolutely amazing! I highly recommend these shoes, and I highly recommend Zappos!

These sneakers are great! I wear them almost everyday and have absolutely no complaints about them. They are very comfortable. Size wise, I decided to get a half size larger than usual and they fit perfectly! It's a quality shoe for a great price!

Very comfortable shoes, and are very durable. The last pair lasted a hard five years.

I got these in Black & Gold size 9, 2E width. I typically wear women's 10W. These shoes, when I took care of them, were cute for hanging out, etc. Now they make an awesome pair of gym shoes, and they're still in good shape nearly 3 years later, very sturdy shoe.

I have always love classic New Balance. These just happen to be one of my favorites. They look awesome fit perfect. The only thing that bugs me about the M574 (I have 6 pairs) is that the tongue always slides into the shoe and wont stay straight. Other than that I love 'em.

Great sneakers! The first pair I ordered were too big but they make it very easy to send things back. The new sneakers I ordered fit great and look great. New Balance classics are hard to find in the stores so I am very happy that Zappos has such a large selection. Can't wait to order my next pair! Love them.

An amazing shoe. Super comfortable and I get compliments all the time. I wish they had nicer color schemes on the other ones (I got the gray with hints of blue).

I've loved my M574 sneakers for years, and these fit exactly the same as my old ones. I'm an Atlanta Braves fan and I chose this color because I thought it nailed the palette perfectly. One note on these is that for New Balances in general, I find myself ordering a lot bigger size than for other brands. I'm a 12 in these, and a 10.5 most of the time.

Soft, great support, excellent for a whole day walk, I love the retro style. I would recommend to go half size up if you have wide feet (I went from 10.5 to 11 with perfect fit).

Followed everyone's advice and got a half size larger. So glad I did. These are great run around shoes. Glad I got them.

Great looking, casual and very comfortable. Looks slightly retro without being too trendy.
