Let me start by saying that I modify my samba classics, and afterwords, they are the most comfortable shoes. The "arch support" lump beneath the insole absolutely destroys my feet, BUT you can easily pull the insole out, and then pull the foam "arch support" lump off the bottom of the insole. The insole fits back in the shoe perfectly, and is how the shoe ought to feel right out of the box (in my opinion). I wear shoes with little to no arch support. The next thing I do is cut the tongue right beneath the adidas logo on the outside. You might be thinking "but that would ruin the shoe!" Wrong...it shows no sign of alteration, and after wearing it for a few days, the edges of the tongue round out. I know this is an indoor soccer shoe, however, the tongue rips leg hairs out of my shin (yeah, that's how long the effin tongue is)! I could take flight with the tongues of the Sambas before cutting them. They are literally the size of Dumbo's ears. I also rock the Adidas Busenitz, and they have a dotted line on the tongue to cut it to fit. So take my advice if the arch support lump and tongue bother you. You'll think back to this review and say "that guy knows what's up." Enjoy!

I purchased these as a second pair of indoor soccer shoes. They fit well and are perfect for what I need. Not too expensive and look great!

Got these for my husband because his leather vans broke down very quickly. He loves them and we got a matching pair for our 3 year old son!

These have been my go to sneaker for 10 years and I've worn about 4 pairs in that time including the pair I still have - with about 6 months of life left. All purchased from Zappos with the expected great service. Overall it's amazing value, and if you like the style, they're as versatile a casual sneaker worn with jeans as anything. Arguably not great with shorts due to the long tongue. As long as they keep making them without changes I'll keep buying them. They are flat and don't have much cushion. I like that, but if you're used to running style shoes they'll feel much harder. Quality overall is amazing for this price - they last. I will say that the fit has been inconsistent. I had to return a pair because it just didn't feel like all the other size 11's I've had. And the lining in heel wore out more quickly on my last 2 pair than the 2 before. I strongly suggest wearing them around the house for a day to make sure they feel right and check the detailing to make sure they look identical (mirror image that is). For a $55 shoe that gets you years of heavy wear its hard to complain. Returns no problem with Zappos so get a pair you're comfortable with and wear them for years. They just get better with age. Until the soles wear out, and then reorder.

My son uses these for indoor soccer (futsal). This is his second pair. He keeps them for play during the season and uses them for general wear thereafter. He didn't wear out the first pair; he just out grew them. They are a terrific bargain considering their price, construction, and utility.

Girl, here! I wear a women's 8 and the men's 7 fit perfectly! I use these for indoor soccer and they are lighter than I remember and fit great. They do take a game or two to break in but have great support and a wonderful feel.

Love this shoe! Classic look and comfortable, goes with any outfit. Definitely runs a half size small, so I recommend ordering a half size larger than you usually do (I normally wear a 7 in men's so I ordered a 7.5 and it fits perfect). Has very high arch support, which may not be for everyone. I love them!

A little stiff right out of the box, but they loosen with wear. Looks good with athletic training pants, shorts, or jeans. Classic style.

If my ship wrecked and I lived in a desert island, I would hope I would have a pair of Sambas. I've used these shoes for over 10 years and I can't give up on them. They last me about 2-3 years, and they are my go-to shoe for, going out comfortably (they are stylish), hiking and running, since they are flat, they adjust naturally to your body, without any unnecessary sole and arch support. If you've read "born to run" or know about the benefits of running barefoot, or with minimal shoes, these Sambas handle this exceptionally, and you don't have to either run barefoot, or look like a dork in toe shoes.

This is a classic that can't be beat. I coach soccer and these are perfect for jumping in to demonstrate a point and pace the sidelines.

This shoe has been a staple in my wardrobe for over 10 years now. Slim. Low profile. Goes well with jeans or shorts. Comfortable for all day wear. Durable laces. Simply a classic.
