I use these as general work boots. I have wide feet and bought EE size. However, I think the steel toe in these things is intended for a D width foot. Boot width is fine but the steel toe curves in and rubs against my toes, pinky toe and next toe in, so I can only wear them for a short time and definitely painful to walk downhill in them. Curvature of the steel toe is all wrong. They are the boots of last resort now. Its too bad, I really like the style of the boots and Timberlands have always lasted. Would have bought them without the steel toe if they had been available in my size.

Absolutely the worst work boot I've ever owned. Uncomfortable, no grip even on shallow pitched roof, too stiff. I've waited to review until I have them ample time to break inapprox 300 hours of wear time, and they never improved. I've literally resorted to going barefoot rather than wear these for another Minute.

(I bought the normal and wide version and tried both in my size.) I have wide feet and even the wide model of the shoes pinched my toes. Switched to Keen and CAT boots of the same size and the toe was way more roomy. If you have small or even normal feet ignore this review.

Overall these boots look good. But hubby has had these for approx 2 1/2 weeks and we’re already ordering insoles. He’s complaining of hurting feet. Definitely would not recommend.

Better material should be used to cover the steel toe.

I bought these timberland boots 6 months ago and the bottom of the boots, the heel part, are falling apart. This is the last pair of timberland boots I will ever buy. I'm going with redwing from now on. Redwing boots last me 1 to 1.5 years .

Very uncomfortable. I contacted timberland customer service and told them I bought shoes and tried to wear for 2 days. They hurt my ankles and were very uncomfortable. I asked if I could return them, They said no, they will not accept them back because I wore them. I thought you guaranteed your product. Obviously not.

Fast lace hook popped off the first time I laced them up. Customer service told me false promises and never made it right. I was given a refund but that's not what I wanted. Oh well, time to try a different brand.

Seems like a great boot, but too small (9W) which is my usual size. Tried to order a 10W "but on backorder". Timberland says they will let me know when 10s are available. Not like I'm trying to buy a size 14.

These boots must be used up quickly, as in worked to death in a short time as the soles will degrade to crumbles in a very few years. An attempt to have the soles replaced at a shoe repair store was met by "it always happens and new boots cost less than fixing the ones you have". I needed to stop using mine for a while to recover from surgery and when I pulled them from the closet later they fell apart. The soles looked rotted from the inside out.

Junk absolute junk… Where the material on the inside meets the laces by the leather the material was clearly too short and not even sewn it to the outside of the shoe. No Zappos usually does a pretty good job returning things but not this time… Unfortunately they are out of stock now so basically they want me to look on their website and see about buying something else… How about this Zappos, either quit selling Timberlin‘s if they’re such junk or reach out to the company and explain to them that you need a size 15 wide shipped out immediately… The fact that you sold me defective shoes certainly isn’t a reason that I would buy something more expensive on your website… Zappos is a joke just like other online services all they have done is ruined retail!

I have used this boot for 40 years and they were the best work boot on the market. I received a new pair yesterday and they felt narrow, checked it against old boot and yes they are 1/2 inch narrower. Considering I have a very narrow foot that's amazing, also as many have complained about the back stitched seam is inside is raised more too. Guess it's time to go try other brands although I'll miss these

The boots arrived on-time, look good, feel good. I generally need EE or EEEE, but the Wide fit fine, very comfortable. I would like to keep these BUT - when I put them on for just the THIRD TIME the 4th eyelet from the bottom ripped out, dangling on the shoelace. Stupid design or poor construction. I am forced to return the boots. May or may not order another pair; based on the quality of construction I will probably go with another boot. That bugs me. I hate returning things, but I can't keep these if they are already falling apart.

Bought these boots to replace another pair. At first didn't wear them cause old pair still had life. Had unexpected heart incident. When released from hospital my wife brought them up for me. When tying them, the lace loop (third from top) pulled right out of the boot. Still waiting for Timberland to respond which doesn't look promising. New boots wasted.

I wear a size 14 or 15 wide. I ordered these in a 15 wide. When i got them, they were extremely uncomfortable. Zero arch support. I added my custom orthotics and they were a tiny bit better. The toe box was just way too small. Every step i took felt like the boots were trying their best to simultaneously crush and rip my toes off.
