I purchased these sandals for my mom, who was experiencing some balance problems. I thought the heel might make her more steady on her feet. She tells me that she is definitely feeling more secure when walking and loves her new shoes. I've since gotten her another pair of Arizonas, in the silky navy, which she adores. These are my 6th pair of Birkenstock arizona sandals. I’ve worn Birkenstocks for over 30 years and they are 98% of what I wear all year round (clogs in winter). However, these were my first pair with leather straps. All the others have been suede. Though the fit is 100% and the sandals are amazingly supportive and comfortable, I have found that the leather straps are much more stiff than the suede, and are still not broken in to my liking. I’m not sure I'd buy a leather strapped one again. Zappos.com is the best online store I've ever done business with and try to buy all of my shoes and my family's shoes with them. They are courteous, helpful and always more than generous with their customer service. Shipping is speedy and reliable.

I bought these sandals for my husband, and he loves them! Unlike his other sandals, the Birkenstocks do not stink up his feet. He'll probably wear these forever. I've had my pair for almost 10 years, so they are worth the price. As always, the customer service at Zappos was great.

I like these sandals. They feel very supportive and I have rather flat feet so that is good. I got a spot on them the first day so now they are not so pretty, but comfortable. I will try to get it out after I hear from the company how to do that without hurting the fabric. I wish Birks came in half sizes as some people like me differ in shoes sizes foot to foot. I also think we should be able to order different left from right size. They were expensive enough to warrant a great fit on both feet. My left is perfect. My right is a tad too big and my toes don't quite grip the toe bar.

I had a great experience with Zappos.com. It was easy to use their website to order on-line and the shipping was free and very fast. Very efficient customer service indeed which is seemingly more rare all the time! I will continue to use Zappos to find the shoes I am looking for and save time and money. I bought these for my son for Father's Day. He loves them! He takes a size 8 mens, but they were huge for him. We sent them back and got the size 6 instead. It was perfect. This is his second pair and the only sandals he feels comfortable in.

Absolutely awesome. I am a college student, and comfort is a must walking several miles on foot every day through the college campus. I wear these sandals from the minute I wake up until I go to bed. These sandals wear like iron and just keep on getting better with time. I get very annoyed when I am forced to wear a pair of tennis shoes or boots, and I try not to. I even wear these during the winter months with snow on the ground. After 4 years of constant wear, Birkenstocks durability really shines through. I can't say enough good about these shoes and their never ending durability and support. I would give them 50 stars for comfort if I could.

Birkenstock wearer for 20 years - I have worn the Birkenstock Arizona for over 20 years. It is the only shoe I buy. It is durable, comfortable and good looking.
