I bought these shoes for my mother who is non-ambulatory and has one inverted foot from a prior stroke. The shoes slip on smoothly and look charming. Also, the adjustable strap accommodates the bit of edema that accumulates during the day.

This is the first non-tennis shoe my 24 year old daughter has been able to wear over her braces. She loves them. It's hard to rate comfort etc because she can't feel them, but she was so excited when they slipped on over the brace. She wore a dress with tights for the first time in years. To anyone who wears mafos, try these.

I was able to work on my feet all day from the first day I used the shoe. I did need to add an orthotic for some cushioning.

These hikers are some of the best I've owned. I put them on out of the box and went for a quick four mile hike off trail. No real break-in required, although I know they will 'loosen up' quickly as all Columbias do. I walk a minimum of four miles daily, most off trail, in northern Minnesota woods country. Columbia has some of the best boots I've found that provide light weight, consistent fit, durability and cold weather insulation (which I require). This is one of them. I also have owned very good boots from North Face, Timberland and Oakley, all with good qualities, but none of those have been as consistent in providing my requirements as Columbia. A note on Columbia hiker sizing: In my experience it is consistently accurate. They do not run large or wide. They run accurate. If you wear your boots with any kind of extra insole pad or heavy duty socks (or both), as I do for very cold and rough country hiking, I would recommend going up one size over your normal shoe size.

Nice shoe, but I'd prefer a buckle - I really like this shoe. I purchased both the black leather and navy nubuck. I would like to see the navy in leather instead of the nubuck, which tends to look worn after one season. Also, I wish the company would use buckles instead of velcro for a dressier, polished look. Overall, however, these shoes look well with jumpers, skirts, and pants, accommodate my orthotics, and are comfy enough to wear to work, where I am on my feet most of the day!

The best! I have thin legs and ordered a half size down (9.5) and they are perfect. Stretchy enough to accommodate tucking your jeans in, but not too big to wear with just sock or tights. Good quality leather and very, very comfortable. I wear them all the time in the winter in NYC and find them to be warm and walkable.

Beauties! I climbed hills all over Italy in these Mary Janes, and then wore them to dress-up dinners! They're very pretty, comfortable and a real blessing in airports. I'd definitely order them again.

Finally they fit... I have a small foot, but an extremely wide foot. My whole life I have walked in uncomfortable shoes. Propet have a wide range of sizes, widths and styles. Now, I’m comfortable.

One small detail - Love the shoes! Got a blister because the edge of the throat is straight cut and not padded. I'll walk through it and would buy more.

Propet Mary Jane Walker is a great shoe! Bought this shoe after wearing the Propet Tour Walker for the past year both pre-surgical and post-surgical. I ordered the Mary Jane in 4E width to accommodate a wrap or support on one foot. Needed something dressier than a sneaker! The Velcro strap allows for the difference in each foot. Great heel height. Would buy again in other colors.

Comfort at Last! These shoes fit great and are very comfortable. Wearing them really reduces my heel pain. They're not quite as stylish as one might like, but hey, you can't have everything. One minor caveat: if you have feet that tend to swell in heat, etc. and/or high arches, these may not be the shoes for you, because although the strap is plenty long, the velcro does not extend as far up the strap as it could in order to accommodate a higher arch/swollen foot.

These are the most comfortable dress shoes that I have ever owned. I still have some problems walking to the outside of the shoes but there is more support in these dress shoes than in most. If I could wear my tennis shoes all the time I would. So, for me to give a dress shoe a thumbs up is saying something. If I have to wear dress shoes, which I do have to at work, I'm glad I have these shoes.

Very comfortable shoe! It has a comfortable heel height and has plenty of room in the toe area. It looks great with casual or dressy pants.

Comfortable dress shoe - This is the third time I have purchased this shoe. Most comfortable shoe I have ever had to work in. I stand all day and my feet never feel tired. I even walk the neighborhood in them. Sole did crack on both previous pairs but it was after wearing them for nine months every day. I wish they had something this comfortable with this much support that looked more stylish to wear with a skirt. I like the look with slacks but not with a skirt.

Very comfortable - I have these shoes in black and would really like to purchase them in white (they did not have my size). I found them to be very comfortable from the first time I wore them and they look very nice with pants, whether dressy or casual.

Get them while you can! Perfection. Please don’t stop making this shoe. Very comfortable, and although not high fashion, they look fine with pants or skirts. I have wide flat feet and ordered the WW width, but I could have gotten away with W width. I bought a second pair as a back up so I’ll always have a pair to wear. I only wish that these shoes came in a wine/burgundy color. Excellent service from Zappos as usual.

The Best Shoe Ever! I love these shoes, they look like the picture they feel great and Zappos is a great site to order from. Whenever I want to buy shoes I will be checking this site first! I have arthritis and do a lot of therapy because of it; these shoes are great for my joints when I wear then nothing hurts.

I ordered this shoe and the first time I wore it, I knew I was going to like them. I liked them so much, I ordered two more pairs (different colors). They are very comfortable shoes and really last a long time. I have always been hard on shoes, but these are worth the money.

Everything I was looking for. I have been looking for a comfortable walking shoe that has some style and not gym shoes. Something I could wear with dress slacks. A friend recommended Zappos to me and I was pleased with the selection. I was going on a vacation that included walking tours on various uneven surfaces. I can tell you my feet felt comfortable the entire trip and I received compliments on the Mary Janes and questions as to where I was able to find them. I love them.

Width - This was the first shoe that was wide enough for me feet in a long time. I am now in my late 40's and have been wearing a lot of sneakers and sandals that are much too long for me so as to get a comfortable width. I decided to try ordering online while not expecting much compared to previous experiences, but to my surprise, the first pair I received was too wide. I contacted Zappos and was expedited a 2nd pair that was a width away from what I actually needed, but gave me full confidence that when the width I need becomes available, it will be perfect. Thank you Zappos for being there. I will always check your website before purchasing anywhere else.

Great shoe, great bargain! For the first time in years I have a nice shoe I can wear at work all day without being in screaming pain! I have bunions on both feet plus a high foot, and shoe shopping had become such a nightmare for me I'd given up till a co-worker told me about Zappos. This shoe is both comfy and cute and works with every outfit. I ordered a size 7-1/2 WW but a 7 would have been a better fit (after years of buying larger shoe sizes for the extra width, this was a nice surprise).The shoe is so comfy I decided to keep them and they're great. A little wide in the heel, but it's a WW, for Pete's sake. Even so, my heel doesn't pop out when I walk, and the velcro strap is beautifully adjustable. Shoe shopping is fun again!

These 4E's are far from ugly! For over a year I tried to find shoes wide enough that a hammer toe and metatarsal arch pain would not worsen. At a visit to THE place nearby that specializes in hard to fit sizes, I was told "the only thing we have for you is ugly, you won't wear it". The salesman was right! An ad in a magazine for Zappos put me onto the right track. Propet's Mary Jane Walker is plenty wide. It has a built in arch support, & also takes orthotics. It has an extra long strap with velcro type closure, not easily found in shoes I have bought. And last, but not least, it is stylish! Thank you Zappos for carrying Propet shoes. Wonderful Shoe - Since a serious car accident, and with "odd" feet prior to it, I've been stuck in NB 854 for over 5 years. This shoe is wide enough, deep enough and very comfortable and allows me to get back into professional attire! While I will lengthen the strap, it's due to feet no one else has plus extraordinarily high arches.

Wonderful shoe - This is the 3rd time I've bought this shoe. The last pair lasted about 2 years and I wore them almost everyday. Comfortable from the moment you put them on and they fit perfectly. I have very wide and short feet, hard to fit, but these have been so good.
