Very uncomfortable. The heel cup allows the heel to sink, but leaves pressure between the heel and the arch.

The reviews on this shoe seemed pretty high, so I went for it. I have small and narrow feet - the shoe fit, but the tongue of the shoe jabbed the front of my foot, and the rim of the shoe rubbed my back tendon raw. If I had bigger or wider feet they may have fit better, but mine are bony, so it was not comfortable. These shoe guys need to make dress shoes with higher tongues, so that they conform to your ankle instead of jabbing into it - for those of use with bony ankles. I also returned the shoes.

This product overall quality is okay. I was disappointed on the quality of the leather.

Shoe feels dour able and well made but is hard and does not flex well even after several days of use. Not a lot of cushioning, I would not want to stand a lot while wearing. I would not buy again.

I think Zappos is wonderful. My feet are awful big and wide. I always had trouble getting a good fit. Size 13 4E, and they look great. Thank you Zappos.

The great have fallen; at least this Rockport edition is a poor successor to previous year’s nubuck oxfords. Comfort, that is the easy break-in that previously typified my Rockport experience, is eroded...I think for true comfort and quality I'll have to make the price jump to Mephisto or someone for a good plain toe oxford (like Rockport used to be).

My husband has hammertoes...the toe box is roomy. His foot is a medium width but because of his hammertoes his shoe must accomodate his toes. His heel does slip out a bit but it is the best we can find given his circumstance. For him the heel could be narrower as in an ASICS tennis shoe.

Not for people with flat feet -
I had high hopes for this shoe. But after 2 weeks of wearing it to work my feet and ankles were just killing me by the end of the day. These shoes are just horrible for anyone that has flat feet. They have very little arch support and also run a little wider than indicated.
They have a nice look, but they just aren't that comfortable if you have to do a lot of walking/standing.

Good basic dress show, not very stylish, though -
This is a good basic shoe. I am having trouble with breaking them in, getting blisters on the heels, which did not happen with my other pair of Rockports I recently purchased. Otherwise, this is a nice shoe to wear in the office, and is study enough to wear in rain or snowy sidewalks/walking.

Disappointed -
I've worn Rockport’s for nearly twenty years. I've been disappointed in the quality and fit of this shoe. The shoe is narrower than indicated. The laces were way too short, and the ends of the laces unfinished, making it impossible to thread into the shoe's unlined eyelets. I place cedar shoe trees in the shoes after each wearing, yet the shoes don’t seem to be holding their shape well. These don't seem to be near the quality of Rockport Nubucks I've purchased in the past years.

Fit Comments Only -
I thought that these would fit me in an EE width - wrong. Other EE or even D shoes fit fine, but these were *way* too narrow in the midfoot area. From my perspective, these were longer and narrower than they should have been at their marked size. If you truly want a wide shoe, look elsewhere. Looked kinda cheap, too. Well, I guess they are kinda cheap…

Not for heavy, flat footed people.
Great shoe, really it is. It is not for heavy people that are flat footed. Because the sole and heel are a form of rubber, they give where a flat footed person needs it not to give, the arch area and heel. If you are neither heavy nor have flat feet, they are perfect and comfortable.

Rockport Marginal -
Usually I like the Rockport’s I've purchased but this one didn't have the arch support that I was looking for.

Decent shoe -
This is a decent work shoe; a little too beefy for anything fancy. It doesn't squeak and has decent treads. The only negative is that the inserts are glued in, so you will have to rip them out to replace them.

No support -
Unlike most Rockports I have had, this shoe has no arch support, so I was surprised. Looks good.

Rockport Margin -
The search for comfortable dress shoes continues. These provide decent support, and pretty good cushion. But they are way too narrow up front (medium width for my medium wide feet). I have much nicer looking shoes that are equally as uncomfortable, or even more comfortable.

Rockport Margin - Brown -
Pickins are slim for a brown 13-narrow, so I chose the Margin and found out that the narrow doesn't really fit like a narrow. The 13-narrow fit like a 13-regular or wider. I was able to improve the fit with insoles, but the heel and toe-box's sloppy, wide fit is unchanged. Wish I could find a brown Dressport.

Brown men's dress shoes -
I was looking for brown men's dress shoes in size 14 for prom which are difficult to find. Many of the shoes at this site did not have a size 14 available, so I could not get my first choice. When the shoes arrived they were not exactly how they looked in the small photo to me. They were nice shoes, but maybe more like I thought my dad would wear. They were also a little long for my feet (I usually get even a size 15 in athletic shoes so this surprised me) so if all sizes ran like this I probably could have ordered the size 13s I really liked. But it was too late to get them switched before the dance, so I kept the shoes to wear there with my tan/khaki tux. They were a little more than I wanted to pay too. Over all they were good shoes, just not exactly what I was looking for. The service around ordering and receiving the shoes was great.

I've had my pair for about two months. The arch support in these shoes leaves something to be desired. My feet are tired after 2 or 3 hours in the shoes. My other Rockport (Dressports) are much more comfortable - a moderate disappointment here.

The shoes were too big -
My son has never told me that shoes were too big for his size 15s, but these shoes were. He loves the look of them and thinks they are great. So I ordered for him a size 14 at no extra cost to us. Hope these work!

Good fit, but not very comfortable -
Shoes are a proper B width (hooray!) but they are hot to wear and lack arch support to the point where my feet ache after a day walking around in them. Styling is a bit heavy/clunky for my tastes.

Just thankful to have a shoe that fits.
I have a very long narrow flat foot. Not a good combination when trying to find a shoe that fits. I live in a small town that doesn't have a lot of options when shopping for shoes. Because of the Zappos return policy I was able to order several 12 Narrows from different brands and in the convenience of my home fully evaluate them. The Rockport Margin was hands down best in regard to comfort, fit, and weight. Unfortunately it was also the least stylish. . I don’t expect to find 12 narrows in all their styles but I sincerely wish that Rockport offered at least a couple of more stylish options in odd sizes like mine. Until then I will be wearing a very comfortable yet frumpy shoe. I’ve ordered additional more casual (also not very stylish) Rockport’s from Zappos since my purchase of the Margin. I’ve become a huge Zappos fan and recommend them to all my friends and family.

Disappointed -
Bought the shoes in june and the soles are worn out. The heels are chipped bad. I have never seen a shoe that did this. I've worn other rockports before and always happy with them.

Standard Fit and Appearance -
For the price, I expected a more comfortable shoe out of the box. I've worn severa times and it appears to be wearing in now. I had to put an insole in order to add a more desired fit.
