Comfortable but somewhat stiff shoe. Size is true. Look- leather upper looks somewhat cheaper than I would like. Fair value for many. Longevity to be determined.

Very Comfortable - This is a very comfortable shoe. Took a couple of days to loosen them up and break them in and would recommend them to anyone that is on their feet a lot. Good looking shoe though the toe is a little more rounded than I expected. This is my fifth pair of Rockport's and my first pair of something other than the traditional wing tip looks. I have yet to be disappointed with Rockport's.

Comfort - The most comfortable shoe I’ve ever owned.

Excellent comfort blended with non-questionable style - This is an extremely functional work / dress shoe that lasted me 2 years before the scuffs required a new acquisition. Working in an engineering lab, with a business casual policy, this is a shoe win in terms of comfort while being on your feet. The look is simple, yet stylish. In addition to wearing it to work on average of 3 days a week, I wore these shoes while trekking throughout Europe on a 2 week vacation. They pair well with a suit or a pair of Dockers. I've got 6 other pairs of shoes in my closet, but these are by far the favorite. Given my foot composition, the narrow model is my choice, yet I reckon the comfort would transition across widths.

Solid work/dress shoe - Comfortable conservative dress shoe. Toe is more square than appears from pictures, and fit is a little on the large side. Sole is hard plastic with textured inserts, making grip a little slick on the edges. Good shoe for office work.

Break-in period required - Sole and leather uppers are stiff- out of the box. A break-in period is required. Do not wear thin socks during break-in. Once broken-in - a very good shoe. This is my umpteenth pair. I walk to lunch every day- rain or shine. I, among other things, like that these shoes are waterproof.

Comfortable and adequate - I bought this shoe for daily use as a casual dress shoe for work. It is very comfortable for both walking and standing. Nothing stylish, just a basic work shoe. I'm happy so far. Zappos service and shipping/price guarantees is great.

Solid shoe for everyday wear - This is the second pair of Margins that I have owned. I still have the first pair in espresso nubuck, and after wearing them for some months I decided that I would like a black pair as well. I use the shoe for walking and casual everyday activities. It is comfortable, and moderately long-wearing, though slightly heavier than I usually prefer for a walking shoe.

Overall it is a very good shoe. I have been a loyal Rockport customer for the last 15 years. The biggest problem has been finding a store that sells them...so please continue selling Rockport shoes. I do wish that Rockport would offer more dress style shoes.

Nice shoe, but a bit clunky looking - The fit and comfort of the shoe is great. However, the shoe looks clunkier than the picture. Why? It has what I would call a square toe, which is not readily evident in the picture. I prefer a much more rounded toe, which for some reason is hard to find.

Not the classiest looking shoe, but overall still a very comfortable dress shoe. I don't know how the shoe got that shinny in the photo, I've polished numerous times and can never get that lustrous shine.

Casual comfort - Comfortable shoe. Not as much shine as the photo implies. I was hoping for a dressier look, but textured uppers prevent a good polish.

Rockport Margins are not Marginal - These were some of the only shoes available in my size (6EE) and I have always liked the Rockport brand. I was disappointed when Rockport stopped selling my size at the local store. This is the first time I bought shoes online, but was desperate since local stores didn't carry my size. I heard that Zappos was a good internet company to buy shoes from, so I took a chance. I was not disappointed. Zappos processed the order accurately and delivered these shoes very quickly. The leather is shiny and soles provide adequate cushion. Although they weren't immediately comfortable, after wearing them around the house a few hours, they were broken-in and ready to hit the streets. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase and would recommend Zappos.

Comfortable - These shoes are for a combination of dress work and visiting job sites. They work well for that usage but I would like to look a bit more dressy. I had too re-order the shoe in a wide as my normal size was to tight.

Good shoe - This shoe was comfortable right out of the box, fit as expected, does not squeak, and looks like a nice casual shoe.

Rockport rocks for narrow feet - Rockport is always a good choice for narrow feet! Zappos is the only place you can get them (not at shoe stores or Rockport outlet), thank god! This is my 5th pair of similar shoes. I have previously bought their walking shoes but now needed a dress shoe. This one looked good for business but practical and comfortable. My only regret was that a waterproof version was available in another model but I missed it when I had already ordered this model. Rockport's weather shield is excellent waterproofing and I would have given this model 5 stars if it had that feature. These shoes accommodated my orthotic inserts and still felt good. I used to have extremely limited choices in shoes when I shopped locally for narrow shoes, but Zappos has changed all that, thanks for freeing me from the 'narrow' choices of local retail!

Great style, mediocre comfort - The shoe provides great looks that works with jeans, khakis, or with a suit. Its contemporary, yet somewhat conservative styling, make the shoes work with just about any type of pant. As for comfort, it isn't bad, but doesn't provide the level of comfort that I've had in some other dress shoes or in Rockport Dressports.

Comfortable shoe but a little too wide. I have a narrow foot and hard to fit.

Margin Review - Fairly good shoe. Unexpectedly comfortable for a Rockport which I usually find clunky and overly stiff. Have only had for two weeks so in no sense is the shoe "broken in" and comfortable. Also, the shoe has good toe room.

Great shoe - Had a shoe named Investor that was discontinued. This one is identical except for the heel that is a bit higher in this shoe. It did take me a little bit to get used to this, but it actually adds some more cushioning this way. Love the EEEE size in width very good for wide feet without looking like clogs.

Comfortable and works well with business casual look - I already own a pair of Rockport's Margin. They look cool and very comfortable. They're great for work. I like the slightly squared toe.

Comfortable, "workmanlike" shoe. Not flashy. Good for kicking around informally.

A little low in the rise- This is a very attractive, well made shoe. It looks great, has great cushioning and fits well. The only complaint I have is that the shoe could use a little more room at the instep. I don't think I have particularly wide or unusually shaped feet; my toes feel like they could use a little more room to wiggle.

Practical Dress Shoe- Lightweight, no break-in period, comfortable, true-to-size shoe. These are also "deeper" than most of the other dress shoes out there, so you don't need to order wider shoes if your feet are thick from top to bottom. I've been wearing these on the advice of my podiatrist, and they're the only plain black dress shoe that my orthotics fit in (without making my feet look like Frankenstein's) They're plain enough to avoid the whole "in-fashion/out-of-fashion" nonsense that most new shoes are prone to.

The fit of this shoe won me over. I was disappointed by the appearance; I thought it looked boxier on my foot than it did in the photos. But the front of the shoe gives my toes room to spread out, while the rear holds my narrow heel securely. And there is plenty of cushioning. The shoe felt comfortable on the first day I wore it, from beginning to end.
