Absolutely perfect. I had these in black nubuck and have worn them over 20 years now. No kidding. 20 plus years. They are the best walking shoe and they absorb impact because I have painful bone foot injuries and Mephistos are always my go to shoes. I was concerned with so many years passing that these would not be as good as my older ones but they are absolutely perfect and same high quality. I ordered this new one in the black boa and another person that had written a review was very correct in the fact that these are really a shiny dark brown with black undertones of reptile print. Thanks to her review I knew to expect that they were a nice deep mocha brown. I will be able to wear them with brown and also with black outfits to add a variant color pop of interest. These are 10 stars in comfort. Believe me, if they happen to agree with your foot shape, you will be so lucky on your next all day outing (such as to Disney World or touring Biltmore, etc.) you will be so thankful that these are on your feet. After four hours you will really see why they are worth the price! Zappos! You are marvelous! I may try to order them in the silver boa because I know you will take them back if they do not happen to be the color I will use. Pictures can be so different and with Zappos we can all be happy shoppers that get our money's worth!

Great product, we brought a pair 10 years ago and could not believe when I ran across them on your site. My wife is experiencing some pain due to plantar fasciitis, and these are helping.

These sandals run very short - I wear a 9 1/2 or 10 in Mephistos, but these were at least 1/2 inch too short!

I wear Mephisto shoes 95% of the time. I was so excited to find these sandals in the Boa. I ordered the Black Boa. I was disappointed in the color. They are 90% brown, not black. I will keep the shoes and wear them as brown not black.

I ordered the Altina in a size 39. They fit my 8 1/2 size foot perfectly. It fit perfectly right out of the box. I bought my first Mephisto sandals 10-12 years ago for a trip to France. They were much thicker leather and heavier and a little clunky, but I still have them and wear them on more rugged outings and at home. The Altinas are much more refined and I plan to wear them not only in the French countryside, but in Paris as well. They look that good. The color is a rich reddish brown and the cross over straps give great support. Perfect. I will probably get a black pair when they are available. Thank you, Zappos, for your excellent service.

I have trouble with my feet - just having had hammertoe and bunion surgery and these shoes give me the support I need.

As always, this is my favorite walking shoe. It takes you over cobblestones. etc. very comfortably. I wish it came in a narrow but an extra hole helps my narrow foot.

I would give it 10 stars. Altina is a fantastic sandal. I have lost track of how many I have bought over the years, but it is at least 3 or 4 pairs. They are great for walking in the summer and will last for years with proper care. I wear Mephisto shoes for walking in winter but this sandal as often as Southern California weather allows. Best true walking sandal I have ever found.

This was my first experience with Zappos and was delighted. I couldn't find my favorite Mephisto sandal (I do a lot of walking) in my downtown Chicago stores, so I checked Zappos, and ordered them. I will definitely use Zappos for future purchases.

I have this awesome looking shoe in black & it is the most comfortable shoe I own. The only negative thing I can share is that Nubuck is like suede, and it spots easily. I wish they had it in black leather.

I love this sandal! Very comfy and yet stylish! Ran a little wide for me but I like it so much that I am having it adjusted!

This is the third pair of this style Mephisto shoe that I own.I have had my first pair for a year, and wear them constantly. So, I decide to order more, just in case. Now I have 3 pairs in 3 different colors, 2 of which took with me on my trip to Istanbul.

These shoes provide obvious comfort. I so wanted these to work for me, but they're just a little too narrow for my foot. Mephisto obviously has a great technology that makes the wearer feel like she's walking on air. I will probably send these back, but they are comfortable & stylish. Women with medium to narrow feet will be just fine with these.

These sandals are awesome. The second I put them on I knew that my feet would be happy. Great for walking and I have sensitive and picky feet.

I love these sandals, so much that I have purchased 3 pair of the brown over the last 7 years and this year I bought a pair of black. You won't go wrong treating yourself to a pair of Altinas.

A very well made sandal. I bought these to wear while touring Italy but I haven\'t left yet. I have been wearing them at home and they are comfortable. No break in period needed.

I am really impressed with this shoe. I was looking for something moderately stylish that I would be able to wear walking around the city a lot. The very first time I wore them I took a two-hour walk doing errands and didn't get a single blister (and I am prone to them). They squeaked when I first tried them on inside, but not out on the pavement. Great practical, city-appropriate sandal.
